The guy took a 18 year old leather seat from my firebird and made it look better then new. Great materials and superb workmanship. Cost me under $400 which is below what I was quoted in "cheaper" areas. Also work was done on time with no delays.

I took my Miata in to have Ben take a look at the soft top which was not properly installed by the previous owner. I was considering just replacing it depending on the price to fix the existing top and Ben's opinion. Ben took a look at it and told me it would be 550.00 to fix the installation. It sounded reasonable so I left the car with him. The problem came when he told me the car was ready to pickup in which he stated it would be 1200.00! After I protested he quickly lowered the price to 900.00. I still didn't accept the price and he became very angry with me and demanded I pay him and come get the car. When I showed up with the 900.00 cash he refused to even talk to me he was so angry. I ended up just leaving immediately with the car and regretting the entire experience. At least the top seems to be okay now hence 2 stars instead of 1.

The headliner on my 1998 Mercedes was falling out (and the old glue was falling on me). Ben at Rick’s Upholstery here in the Monterey area did an amazing job in replacing it. The upholstery is clean and tight, all lines and seams match up, and it’s simply beautiful. Ben was helpful and listened to what I had to say, and made good on his word. My car looks great.

I recently purchased seat covers for my new Tesla after thorough research on the best options available. I chose this company that claimed to sell custom-fit covers specifically for Teslas. I took the seat covers to Ben at Rick's Upholstery for professional installation, and he did an outstanding job ensuring everything fit perfectly. A week later, I returned because one of the headrest covers was oversized and affected the overall look. Ben kindly offered to tailor the headrest cover free of charge, and the final result was significantly improved. His adjustments added a polished finish to the entire interior.
