I’ve had an assortment of screwy experiences with repair shops in the Conejo Valley, including the service departments of several dealerships. The repair work has been generally competent. Customer service has often been cold as ice. When I bring work to a mechanic, I expect to be treated as a customer, not a nuisance or an annoyance. I know car repair is a tough occupation, but it’s important that the mechanic offers the client a bit of a comfort level given the stress level associated with car repairs. Robertson provides exceptional service, no attitude and fair pricing. So they check all the boxes for what I look for in an auto repair shop. If you give them an opportunity to service your vehicle, you will not be disappointed. 01/25/2024: The team @ Robertson is as good as it gets in this Valley. Let me reiterate what I have said several times before here and on other platforms, these mechanics are experts. They diagnose accurately, fix problems correctly and charge a fair price.

My car ended up loosing power and I lost control of it, luckily it powered on a few seconds later and I managed to park in a nearby lot. This occurred very far from where I live. After calling insurance with the expectation for an expensive tow fee, I decided to look up nearby mechanic shops. A nearby automotive shop popped up and so I decided to walk there. When I gave them my story and asked for an inspection they told me that it would cost $120 - $200 for an inspection and a lot more for a serious issue. Also it would take them multiple days just too even inspect my car. This shop told me to try nearby auto shops, so I walked to Robertson Automotive. When I told RA my issue and cost for inspection they told me that inspections are FREE. Additionally they were kind enough to have one of the mechanics (Dan) walk over to my car and inspect it after I told them I did not feel comfortable driving it due to the power failure! Furthermore, Dan was able to solve the issue in 1 min after he bravely drove my car to the shop. Turns out the positive end of the battery was loose, he also checked the battery just in case anything was wrong with it. They also did all of this for FREE! Easiest 5 stars I could ever give! Best customer service ever!

At first they were okay. But they moved cars to a hotel due to lack of space, did not tell me and we had to pay for impound. Plus having a baby in the office is a huge liability. They seem nice but very unorganized and not thoughtful of how their lack of communication really hurt us financially.we will fight for our money back. Then Mary told my boyfriend I was over medicated Well when you get burned like they did us, one tends to get mad.How dare she slander me like that!

Great value and service! Robertson's was very responsive when we called to get a diagnostic and quote on fixing our old Honda Civic, which had started making an odd noise (turned out to be an air compressor problem). We shopped around after getting the quote and they had the best prices. They were able to see us immediately (both for the original quote and for the repair). The job was done on quickly and on time. The front staff and mechanics were all very nice and professional. Highly recommend them!

It’s hard to find a trusted mechanic, especially when you’re a single female who drives a rather rare Italian sports car. These guys have gone above and beyond they are recommended by a good friend who takes many cars and trucks to them because they’re honest they don’t overcharge and they do quality work in a timely fashion. I feel lucky to have found them. It took me 40 years but I found them!

I’ve been bringing my vehicles to Robertson’s for several years now Marie and Dan have always been helpful and treated me fair until today. I brought my son’s Nissan frontier in for a coolant leak. They told me the radiator needed replacing, sounds good replace it. After picking it up and driving it home coolant was leaking from everywhere. Long story short basically they lied to me soaked me for $650+ and returned a vehicle that’s un-driveable! Unacceptable! Lost a good customer

This family owned and run shop has a customer for life. I had a shock mount bracket bust on my '49 hot rod. On top of all else, it was a Saturday when trying to fix it. While I do most of my own work, I don't do my own welding. A good friend recommended these guys to me. I went on their website and come to find out they do exhaust repair too, so I know they could weld my piece. I stopped in just after they opened to be greeted by the owners. They were extremely friendly and accomodating. I dropped off the part, and less than 45-minutes later I got a call from them letting me know my part was ready to go. They saved my bacon. They earned a new customer, and one that always get asked where to go for automotive service. I can confidently suggest Robertson Automotive based on my experience. I will also be keeping them in mind for any repairs beyond my ability. Thanks again guys!

I took my car in for service on Tuesday and was told it would be ready by Wednesday. However, after receiving no update, we attempted to call the front desk the next day, but it took five attempts to get through, and I had to remind them of the service my car was in for. The representative promised to call me back with an update and requested an alternate contact number, but the call dropped before I could provide it, and I never received a callback or update that day. We were left to make alternative arrangements for school drop-offs, work, and prenatal appointments under the assumption that the car would be ready as promised. It wasn't until Friday, after three more attempts to reach the front desk, that I was informed the car still wasn't ready but would be completed by 7 pm. We waited until 5pm to inquire about our car's status, but our call to the desk went unanswered. Losing patience, we visited the mechanic shop, only to be told the car wasn't ready yet. After waiting in the parking lot until 10 minutes before closing, we checked again and were informed of another hour-long delay due to other vehicles, including an RV, being serviced. Having dropped off our car on Tuesday with a promised completion the next day, we grew frustrated with the poor service, communication, and lack of courtesy updates. We eventually retrieved our keys and left, disappointed by the unfulfilled promises and disregard for customers' time and family commitments. We would have been more understanding if they had kept us informed or requested extra time to work on the car, but their poor communication and repeated promises of completion with no progress were extremely frustrating, leading us not to recommend this shop.

Took my car in for an AC issue, they scratched my rim and ripped the undershield while parking it. They then refused liability and refused to provide their insurance information -- never ever trust these people with your car. If it gets damaged while it's there they will completely deny it, even if you have video proof of them doing it.

This shop truely deserves 5 stars. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Originally came in for oil change /filter. She came out with the recommendations. I usually buy my own engine and cabin air filter on Amazon to do myself because Honda dealership charges an insane amount for a simple part and 1 minute install. I let them do it instead of doing it myself (to save $) because I needed it and they charged a great price. They did the entire thing (part/labor) cheaper than the cost of the Amazon unit, awesome! Honda had a 5 day appointment time just for an oil change.. I was here less then 1 hour. The full synthetic oil change + filter was a great price too. I am bringing all my business here, telling my friends and you. Great people, prices, while you wait and locally owned.

I had an exceptional experience with this automotive business. It is a family run business and they are people of much trust, integrity, and moral values. He was able to find out the problem on a Monday and my car was out the door on Tuesday I feel blessed to have found that mary and Dan Are a wonderful who standards are exceptional. Very disappointed and sadly I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. In 2023 they misdiagnosed a right front wobble as an axle issue, they swapped the axle, reassured me that it was the issue. It wasn't the issue, the issue was worn ball joints on the lower control arm that I repaired the next day. I returned to get the original axle, and recently found out the axel they gave me was from another vehicle, so, I am out an OEM part and the work that was done for nothing. They took a simply repair and turned it in to a potential serious issue. I do not post this review lightly, I do not want to hurt anyone's livelihood, but I hope that they find a way to be more detailed in the work. Word of caution, ask for old parts they swapped, get a detailed breakdown of all the work they performed. This is in response. in 23 your mechanic was "certain" it was the axel, I was skeptical but trusted. I drove the car away with the problem still obviously present. I called, he said that he didn't notice any wobble after the axel replacement. Either he was lying, or didn't drive the car. The next day I pulled the lower control arm with the bad ball joint, returned to show him, he had no response. I asked for the OEM axel, he pointed to one in a bin, I took it. I did not want you to do any further work on the car, so I left the axel in it. 2.5 years later, I am doing service on the car, new control arms etc, good time to put back in the OEM axel, well turns out it wasn't the correct axle, hence, you lied to me again, or just didn't pay attention. Either way a major disappointment and shows me you lack attention to detail, organization, and sincerity. You lost a loyal customer and the several others I recommended. Please take this review seriously, I hope you work to improve.
