Been trying to get my car looked at for weeks. Was given back to me to "see how it drives" but it was still broken. This was an insurance claim and my provider needs more information and I just keep getting told "bring it in next week". I guess I need to find another mechanic because I can't just keep driving this broken car around and my insurer is upset it isn't getting diagnosed for the claim. I also asked for an oil change and was told it had been changed, but come to find out all my oil had been drained from my car but was never put back. Thankfully I noticed the light and added 4 quarts of oil before my engine exploded, but it could have been really bad. Not sure why I'm having such a negative experience here, I was told by everyone it was a reputable shop and had high morale going in initially. Very disappointing.

I cannot recommend Ron’s Garage enough!! I’ve been going to Ron for about 6 years and recently moved to Omaha. I was passing through town and needed an oil change, and my brakes happened to have issues on my way into town. I called Ron and he said immediately that “if you’re coming to town, I’ll make time for you”. The next day I was in his shop and he immediately started working on my vehicle. What would’ve cost close to $400 in Omaha was a fraction of the price, and the work is done well every time. Ron is personable and friendly, and I do appreciate an honest mechanic that tells it like it is. Super impressed every single time!

He saved our bacon, 500 miles from home after 1400 miles, he told me to drive to his shop, alternator just went out, he told me that it would be OK to drive to his shop, the young mechanic evaluated the issue, replaced the alternator, I asked if I needed new belt, he said that was not necessary, and honest shop, I was towing an R V. Any other shop would have taken advantage of the situation, not Ron's, I am relocating to Iowa, I would drive 120 miles just to have him work on our car.

This place held my Durango for almost a month before doing any work on it. I was having to pay for a rental during this time. Whenever I would call to get an update- the person on the other end of the phone would not answer any questions regarding when they could get started on it or when it would be finished. They were super dismissive and rude. Additionally, once the work was “done”- I actually had to take it to J & M auto service in Tea to redo the work that this place said they did. Ron said I needed a radiator replaced to the tune of $600. It needed a $25 part and 20 minutes of labor. Get multiple estimates is all I can say. Not sure if it was dishonest or a mistake because I couldn't get him to respond.

I've taken my car here 3 times and each time it has taken several weeks to get my vehicle back for relatively simple repairs. I am more and more disappointed with the customer service at this location. They may be cheaper, but in my experience, you get what you pay for.

do not recommend to anyone! brought our truck there took 9 months to get fixed sat in the same spot for months went to pick it up and it was making a ticking noise they forgot to put something on and said it would cost $400 to fix THEIR mistake. They said it would take a few weeks the few weeks turned into 9 months. they are terrible there will never go again and they should have fixed their mistake for free

Ron’s Garage is a treasure in the West Sioux area. My larger family has been going to Ron’s Garage for many years for service from a dead battery, starter going out, to more serious situations like engine rebuilds. My parents and brothers are still kept on the road with Ron and his teams care.

I get it mechanics aren’t hospitality focused. but damn - horrible phone manners, hanging up on a customer asking a question because it’s not a common repair request. sets the tone of the kind of service you can expect here.

What can I say but wow! I took a car to Team automotive for a pre purchase inspection and they quoted me $2,000+ in suspension repairs, fluid changes, etc. Took it to Ron and turns out it didn't need anything- just a bit of grease! He didn't even charge me a diagnostic fee. Will definitely be going back again!

Went to Ron's garage to get my husband's Honda Civic looked at. We told them it's leaking coolant (water pump), we replaced the radiator, overheated a few times. We would like them to look at it and get back to us with an estimate. Before they even looked at it, they estimated us 3 thousand. Ok no big deal. They held on to our vehicle for three months, without even looking at the vehicle. So we call back after the three months and they told us, "we don't even wanna touch your vehicle without a hefty down payment before we start. Because we can smell the overheating. So we believe you won't be able to pay for it. It's gonna cost you 5 thousand at least" well no shit. That's what we said has happened. Do you listen? I'm sorry but who are you to judge a person off their vehicle. You do not know the amount of money a person has by judging the book from their cover. I like how our bank account looks. Too bad he missed out on the money by having a horrible attitude towards us, holding our car hostage without communicating with us about their issue with it. Very disappointed is this company. Would not recommend. They will rob you if you want them to do actual work. We will find a second opinion. First experience and last.

Isaac is the absolute best! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I come here often to get oil changes, new tires, and other repairs, and they never try to sell you something you don’t need. They are great, honest guys, and they care for their customers. Would highly recommend to anybody!
