Awful place.. paid for inspection he failed it because the parking break wasn't tight.. i took it a mile a way and told the guy he got behind the tire with a flat head and 2 min later it was tight.. he inspected it and the fix was no charge

Stopped in on Monday afternoon to get some Petrol before returning home. There was a different attendant at the pump, someone I've never seen before. No big deal, I let him know I wanted " Regular, fill it please." At the same time, I was going through my bag looking for my wallet. (BTW, He never asked, "Cash or Credit?" Which is customary at this shop no matter who the attendant is on duty.) After I found my wallet, got my CASH out. I look at the pump, and he had pushed the CREDIT button!! I was infuriated!! At this particular shop, it is a little more than .10 cents over the price of the CASH option. I couldn't see him anywhere. When the pump stopped, I paid using my credit card, making him aware of the fact that I knew he had pushed the CREDIT button without asking me and that I wanted to pay cash. He just kept walking off. (Taking the card for payment, then returning.) I've never, ever had an issue here before, and I won't again, because I will NOT return.

I've used this mechanic several times for repairs. So far they have been honest and haven't fixed my vehicle unless it needed it. He saved me a lot of money on a car repair that my dealership would have inflated just because... My simple wiring issue would have turned into a dealership song and dance accompanied by the wallet accordian if route 18 hadn't point it out to me and fixed for a very reasonable price.

I usually stop here for gas but this day in particular my car was serviced and I believe I was helped by Jack Sassin (I was given the business card with his name.) This man was super professional and very cordial... When he finished with my car he kept telling my 4 year old son that his mom is a Hero ( I assume he saw my “nurse life” bumper sticker and my scrubs.) Despite the current pandemic and societies great full attitude towards health care workers... I felt this man was sincerely thanking me from his heart. I don’t know if he was recently cared for by an angel or maybe he Knows one... but I was touched by his sincerity. He ran my card and my son then asked me for some candy before we left... he told my son that he could have the candy because his moms a hero and again thanked me. Sadly it’s not often that I’m singularly thanked for what I do every day. I feel as if it’s important people know this business employs persons who take time to wish their community well. Even the “kids” who pump the gas are always smiling and joking quickly filling us up and wishing us well in our travels.

We’ve been going to Rt. 18 Gas & Services for 13 years for of course gas but maintenance on our cars as well. They are always prompt and affordable, just got brakes, oil change and tire rotation done for less than the dealership quoted. Always friendly and ready to help. An added bonus- whenever our daughter has a lemonade stand they are always there to support her!
