I cannot say enough good things about Ruben and his team at this automechanic shop. I have been to their shop twice now, once for repairs on my own vehicle and once to have a potential used vehicle purchase inspected. Both times, Ruben went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of and that my vehicle was safe to drive. Ruben is not only incredibly skilled at what he does, but he is also honest and transparent. He took the time to explain the issues with my car and what needed to be done to fix them, without trying to upsell me on unnecessary services. His attention to detail and commitment to quality work is truly commendable. Katie, the office manager, also deserves a special mention. She is always friendly, professional, and goes out of her way to make sure that customers are comfortable and well-informed. It’s hard to find a good mechanic that you can trust. Between our cars and the teens’ cars, we’ve gone to Ruben more than we would like to, but such is life. He has always done excellent work for us. He does thorough diagnostics and always tells us straight up what’s wrong and what it will take to fix it. His prices are always fair. On more than one occasion he’s spotted a ticking time bomb problem and gotten ahead of it before it was a catastrophe. On top of that he and his staff are the kindest people in the world. Taking your car to these folks is like having a trusted friend who is really good with cars. I can’t recommend this shop enough.

I had a nightmare scenario where my truck broke down on my way up to moving to another state. Luckily I was driving to vehicles so my other driver just hopped in with me and we finished the trip. But we had to get the truck towed somewhere and Ruben's ended up being the only place that could get me a decent deal on an engine replacement. What a nightmare to have to find a new engine and a shop to do the work when I don't even live in the town. Luckily Rubens was extremely good at communicating and found me a great deal on a refurbished engine and did a good job installing it. Well so far it seems! Fingers crossed but it seems like they gave me a good engine that will last a while! Either way the work looks good, and their office was extremely good about communicating with me from the distance and coordinating about storing the truck and getting it picked up by my family. Thank you so much ruben's! Appreciate everyone there!

Best rates along with honest, trustworthy, helpful, dependable, and genuine owner/staff. They are experienced, Professional, & legit! Don't hesitate to switch or worry with these guys when shopping around. There is so many other mechanics who over charge and are shady or screw you over but Rubens auto is not one of them because they have good morals.... Just make sure as a customer that you don't take them for granted, or screw them; show/prove it back to them with honest appreciation and respect.

I am so unbelievably thankful for Ruben and his team. I had a major breakdown on a 16 hour road trip, and happened to stumble across Ruben's shop on Google, where I limped my Jeep into his lot. Even though I have a very custom 4x4, Ruben immediately hopped in and went on a test drive with me, and then spent the rest of his day prioritizing an urgent repair to get me at least capable of getting the vehicle back home. Really enjoyed getting to know him and the team, and again, very thankful for their attitudes and willingness to help. I'd highly recommend this team to anyone in the area, and will forever be grateful to these really good people.

I brought my own parts in. They were very polite and worked with my terrible schedule, one weird thing is they charge a different labor rate for bringing in your own parts. I guess they mark up their parts a little bit to keep their doors open. My parking brake wasn't working very well so I had them change the shoes. When I picked it up it was "better" but it was late and after a week or so they said I could bring it back to adjust. Compared to some of the "mechanics" I have dealt with these guys were a pleasure. Easy communication, straight up pricing. A little high but everything is crazy nowadays. Maybe I have just been out of the loop for a while on what shops charge. At any rate the fact that they are available and do text messages is wonderful. The fact that they respond quickly is phenomenal. Id use these guys again in a second and you should too. Granted it was my first experience with them but I can understand why they have positive reviews. I appreciate you guys keep up the good communication and quality work. My only complaint is their parking lot. It kinda sucks. It's full of old cars. Maybe they are being worked on but you guys need a bigger lot. Thanks again.

These folks helped me get my son’s car towed from a residence in IF as we are from Burley. Cars power steering was damaged by running over a retread in the dark. They towed it, diagnosed it, sent pictures then called and spoke with me. Very nice and professional! Car was fixed in two days (1 day for shipping parts). Very happy with this shop! I have taken my 2013 Volkswagen Passat to Ruben’s auto repair several times, unfortunately that model of VW is plagued with issues. Each time I am beyond impressed with not only the service, but their willingness to lend a hand. Every time that I have dropped my car off they have offered to drive me back home and pick me up when the car was finished. The prices are fair and they have flexible payment options. One specific time sticks out in my mind. My skid plate came loose on the highway and in the process it caused the drivers side wheel liner to come loose as well. The skid plate also caused other damage to the vehicle as well. I took my VW to Ruben’s to have the damage assessed as well as get a quote for the necessary repairs. When I got the car back from the quote I noticed that they had secured all of the loose components back to the car so they would not continue to move around. It’s a small detail like that that tells me that these folks are in it to help people. I am fortunate enough to have been able to get into a more reliable car that wasn’t plagued with issues like my Volkswagen was. But if anyone I know needs work done I will happily send them to Ruben’s Auto Repair.

Ruben’s Auto Repair was such a great experience. They were honest, very fairly priced, and didn’t try to upsell or push anything unnecessary. Katie had excellent customer service—friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. Ruben is extremely knowledgeable and really observant; you can tell he knows what he’s doing and genuinely wants to help. The whole place just feels like it’s run with strong family values and integrity, which is hard to find these days. I’m really thankful we found them and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
