I am giving this rating for his prompt responses to all my questions. I was stranded with my family visiting from out of town. We thought it was the starter bc the AAA tow company couldn't jump the car. ( side not...AAA roadside assistance is BS) Anyways I was very stressed on a Sunday morning on what to do. Put out a message on Yelp and he was the first to respond and answer my questions immediately. He did make me feel reassured that he can fix my problem. He quoted me way less than what I googled. Come Sunday afternoon as I was about to tow the car to his shop for Monday, the tow guy jumped my car and it worked. I no longer needed his services however from all the other reviews, he is a stand up mechanic (rare) I wish there was one in my city. I recommended contacting him for any concerns, he might be the mechanic for you. Thank you V for your great customer service.

Don't go thus guy is a crook he replaced my housing and thermostat 1 month later my engine light went on So I took back to him he's take some place else refused to work or even check the problem. I took it to another mechanic and he had to replace the housing and thermostat same work. not to mention I paid to replace the thermostat before he charged me for housing and thermostat. Sometimes cheaper is not worth it.

VJ at S&K did a fine break job on my car. He replaced all four break pads and the front rotors. He also bled the break lines, refilled the brake fluid, and adjusted the e-brake.My only complaint is that despite using the paper protection to keep my driver-side front floor mat from getting soiled from his work shoes when he moved my car, the left side of the mat and the carpet to its left were still soiled by his shoes. When I got home, I had to shampoo the mat and the carpet area that was soiled. Not a big deal though. He has done a fine job in repairing my father and sister's cars too. I recommend him.

VJ is the most honest mechanic. I went there to check, two previous stores put a little drama with my Highlander. But VJ given the honest answer avoiding over spending on those fake problems played by other places. I’m lucky to find this place. But it’s also sad that most of shops now a day are no long measure honesty as their merits.

VJ was very kind, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I called yesterday to see if he had an opening for an oil change this morning and he said yes. I went and let him know I’m struggling a bit financially right now and would like to just get the oil change, before he started. He said ok, and the oil change was the work that he did. He told me that in my car the check engine light comes on when the oil needs changed so he also reset that while changing the oil. He explained everything to me step by step as he changed the oil and filter, and examined my car. He let me know that the gasket was leaking and should be replaced soon because it can start a fire, so I will take care of that when I’m able to pay for it and try not to drive it in the meantime. He said there were other repairs but not to worry about them right now, and that the most important thing aside from the oil change was the gasket. He didn’t worry me with a price for possible future work and didn’t pressure me in any way. This was one of the least stressful experiences I’ve had at a repair shop and I will definitely be coming back when I’m able to pay for a gasket replacement. Very nice guy, friendly, and polite. I would send my elderly mother to him in a heartbeat if she needed car repairs, knowing she would be in good hands.

Came here after some research and reviews and I was super happy :D VJ fixed my suspension and shocks in no time- My car feels much smoother now- The price was fair and he really got it done quickly because I needed the car in the afternoon. I highly recommend VJ. He is very quick on Yelp. So send him a message and let him see what can be done. I also like the fact that he takes your money seriously. He does not recommend procedures unless it is really needed. Will be coming back here if I have issues. Really happy to have found a great mechanic near my place!

Had a squeaky belt that drove me and ALL my neighbor's insane. I had researched a few repair shops to find them all quoting me 2 to 3 hundred without seeing my truck. Called S&K on Friday night and the owner says bring it in tomorrow and he will get it done, even though they close at noon. I take it in Saturday at 8 and he says give me a few minutes. Proceeds to have me start my truck, checks the belts and realized it only needed an adjustment. Doesn't charge me anything, I had no cash on me but ran to an ATM grabbed some cash and he only took 20 bucks after I urged him to take something. Problem solved for 20 bucks and me and the neighbors are happy. Highly recommend S&K nice guy and honest too.

Treated me respectfully and honestly. Good mechanic. Came here because my brake caliper got stuck in the brake position which left my rear left pad absolutely blasted. This led to metal to metal contact. He repaired the caliper part and replaced both break pads and said my rotors are still good to use. Happy customer!

This business is a distance from my residence. However, it is worth the extra time. Made contact with "VJ" the owner, and mechanic that serviced my vehicle. He was honest, and to me, that is a big deal. He gave a clear explanation of the issues and had it done in a timely manner. I thought the brakes were leaking. It turned out to be a shock assembly that was leaking. Did a great job. There are quite a few coffee shops in the area. I found myself wandering around the streets. Stopped in one for some coffee while I killed some time waiting for my car. There are some quaint shops around there. One called the "British Grocerer." There is a little Cafe to grab a bite to eat.. The only problem was I was there on a Monday, and I noticed a lot of shops, including the cafe, were closed on Monday. The coffee shops were all open. The Cafe sits in a big building on the North side of Wilshire all the way to Harbor blvd. The inside has a center courtyard with a coffee shop, and where the Cafe is located, along with about three floors of various businesses. Of course, around the corner is Downtown Fullerton..

Decided to use Yelp because of all their reviews to get a repair service quote for an oil change with new engine oil filter and brake fluid flush. They messaged me asking to confirm engine size even though I had already included in my initial service quote request details and then they stopped responding after I confirmed my vehicle’s engine size. So for this reason alone, I couldn’t in good faith recommend this business to anyone I know.

Was about to drive cross-country to Tennessee for a move, and my check engine light came on. I took it to S&K and basically told them I’d pay whatever to get it fixed as quickly as possible, and they told me they’d get it done immediately at no extra charge! In 40 minutes they got my part in, changed out the hose, and called me to let me know my car was good to go! Excellent prices, customer service, and work. Very highly recommend!
