Sergio was excellent, I have a nail in my back right tire which turned out to be on the sidewall. He gave me great information regarding that. I came in with alot of my lights yelling at me and now I have been driving in peace. Honda for the win!

My favorite dealership! If you ever need a good car and a good deal, go to these guys! Also ask for Angel. He’ll take care of everything! Real professional. Kudos to Service Center as well. Never refused to help me with my car no matter what my request was. Love you guys!

I’m not sure if they changed management but I noticed during my last appointment that, even though they weren’t as quick to check me in (I waited around 25 minutes), they were a lot friendlier. My experience with this location has consistently been that certain employees mansplain things to me and it always left a sour taste in my mouth. I kept choosing this location solely on convenience since I live just blocks away, but I was happily surprised at the genuine friendliness from employees towards me this last time!

While the service seemed to be provided with good intention, here was my experience. 1) friendly service manager 2) $1,300 for 4 hours of work on a 30,000 mile service. That seems high to me but maybe that is standard - even when it only takes 4 hours 3) two days later my dash lights up with several error messages. On the phone I’m told it’s probably electrical and they make an appt for with me again for several days later. 4) The day of the appointment, the error messages go away but I still take the car In after speaking with a service advisor on the phone. 5) I bring the car in and am told it would make more sense for me to come back if/when the error lights come back on. 6) the next day I receive an email from CarDoc telling me I need to take my car In for service For what I paid, this experience feels absurd.

I had an excellent experience at the SF Honda Service Department. Adam, the service specialist, was outstanding — not only attentive to my needs but also to the needs of my vehicle. He was very accommodating with my schedule and took the time to thoroughly explain and break down the service issues in detail. His professionalism, and genuine care made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend asking for Adam.

11/20/2025.This is an update to the to the complaint I made on 11/19 /2025. I spoke to a representative of the service department. There was a mistake in the billing of this service. They are looking into the matter to make sure this doesn’t happen again. The service department has decided to refund the charge for the whole service. This included a 35,000 mile service not just the cabin air filter. This is completely in line with the excellent service I have received over the years with San Francisco Honda. I will continue to have my car serviced here. Charging $96.00 for labor to change the cabin air filter is robbery. I watched a You Tube video after I got home. Longest video I could find was 5 minutes long to change the filter. This service should be done as a courtesy. I have coming to this dealership for about 30 years and 5 Hondas. Have always been happy with the service even if it is more expensive. I will start looking around.

From start to finish, I had an awesome experience. Last Friday 12/26/25 when I arrived at work, there was an alert on my dash “Headlight Problem.” My first instinct is to call the service line at my favorite place San Francisco Honda at Van Ness. The person who answered was very nice and set my appointment for the following morning at 7:00 am. I was so happy that appointment because on my drive home the right headlight was out. Saturday 12/27/25 at 7:15 am, Nelson Chen, Service Consultant, was very attentive and understanding with my concern. I explained that the right headlight has moisture inside which I reported early this year and now the light is out. Nelson thoroughly explained the process. With the warranty expired 3 months already he shall try to negotiate that it get reinstated for this concern. Nelson Chen is a lifesaver, he went ahead and ordered the parts that my car needs until the results or approval was out on Monday. I was anxious about this but Nelson was very assuring. By Monday, He told me the great news that Honda will cover 90%. I got my car back Tuesday 12/30/2025 afternoon with my new headlight. Tires and liquids checked. Nelson Chen you are greatly appreciated. To the SF Honda Service team a big thank you!! YOU ARE THE BEST!! Additionally, Nelson has Lyft drive me home and back. Truly going over and beyond!

I know nothing about cars so who knows how accurate my review is. Things seem fixed. I appreciate Geoff's not trying to have me do a ton of work by trying to get me to do other services. I really appreciated his finding a discount for me. He was friendly and got the job done within the timeframe he gave me.

If you go to Honda San Francisco on Post in Van Ness, I will let you know the manager there summer and her little trolls are nothing but disrespectful rude play games. I don’t recommend that location. My service advisor. Gary is a very nice person. Very nice. Helps me very respectful but the other staff that works here that’s higher than him are disgusting disrespectful rude hang up on you when you bring it to their attention they play like they have amnesia. Yeah that’s not a place for me. They can go you know where.

First of all I’d like to thank Xavier Contreras jr. we’re taking good care of me and getting my car serviced correctly. He pointed out that my tires although having lots of tread were too old and needed replacing. I’m sorry to say I didn’t have Honda do it because there’s a local tire shop in my neighborhood I want to keep in business. I didn’t say anything to him about the plastic over the headlights was cloudy. When I picked up the car the plastic was clear as glass. It’s this kind of stuff that keeps me coming back. Thanks Donald Orth.

The service consultant, Geoffrey Blackburn, was not only efficient, but also very friendly. He was prompt in keeping me informed (text & phone) about the status of my vehicle. The service technician, Aaron Wong, did a very good job on finding some problems during my vehicle's servicing and quickly bringing them to the attention of the service consultant so he could let me know about them (I of course wanted the repairs to be done). I was very pleased with the service I received from San Francisco Honda, and will continue to have the servicing of my vehicle done there.

Great service. Knowledgeable, friendly. Communication was strong throughout the day as a couple mechanical and wear-and-tear issues were discovered on inspection. Team walked me through which to prioritize and which part replacements could be delayed until later service checks. Would definitely return

Service is always great, booking needs some improvement. When I've called the people who book service aren't able to pull up any information on what service you have due, and I've been hung up on or transferred without warning to the parts department. When I called about a tire, I was transferred to the parts department and no one was able to look up which tire I needed, so I had to call back and be transferred again after looking up the size of my tire. Not sure why if they have all my information they couldn't just ask the parts department if they had the tire in stock that fit my car. Communication can be a bit lacking with how long things take or when the car will be ready, I've also been told my car would be done by the end of day only for them to call me right before they close that it'll be ready the next day. They do always refill my tires and reset my tire warning light if needed without an appointment or cost and overall I'd keep coming back here. I asked for wiper blades to be changed last time I was there and they forgot but then did offer to do it for free next time, so they do try their best and clearly care about customer reviews.

I had a really great experience here! Rich was my service advisor and he was super friendly and easy to work with. Pricing was quite reasonable, and when the first solution they sent me home with didn't work, they charged no additional cost to look at it again and make some more changes to get it solved. At all points they explained to me clearly what they were finding and took time to show me the exact things that had been wrong. Very happy with my experience, would highly recommend!

I brought my 2004 Honda Element in due to a coolant leak. The next day, the technician tracked down the problem, which turned out to be a crack in the radiator. Xavier, the service advisor, was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the issue in detail. Freddy, the technician, also showed me a video he had taken of the radiator. I was very happy with their professionalism and was impressed by the cleanliness of the shop

Rich was incredibly helpful and informative, guiding me through each stage of the process and explaining costs beautifully. He was also more than willing to initiate a refund for an overcharge in the distant past. Absolutely would recommend in the future! AAA+++

We started with an online appraisal of our trade-in, followed by a phone call from the sales manager asking if we had additional questions. Our conversation was helpful and positive, resulting in a follow-up meeting at the dealership the next morning. We finalized the trade-in of our old car and the purchase of a new car with Paolo, who did a great job. Overall, everyone at the dealership was very helpful and knowledgeable.

The service writer I had was outstanding. Eric Tom took the extra steps to make sure I was informed and well taken care of. He was great to work with. This service center has folks that work there and care about their customers. I was greeted multiple times and directed to the right areas. The service was outstanding, I take all of my vehicles there and it is always taken care of with care. SF Honda is a great place to take your car in for service.

Complete rip off. I had scheduled an appointment but no one was aware and they had me wait along with everyone else. Once I was with a representative, he immediately began by telling me about all of these past due maintenance needs. Since I have been coming here for many years, I just agreed and left my car. The rep told me that my car would be ready by 12 noon. Since I was paying so much, originally quoted around $900, I thought it would be worth the cost for the convenience and expedited service. I didn’t get a call until 2:53 pm and was told a bunch of other things were needed and if they were performed my car wouldn’t be ready that day. I was a little upset because I had been waiting for an update and to be told that my car wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be available for pick up wasn’t what I had expected or planned for. I told the rep this wasn’t an option and I needed my car that day. The rep said he could have it back without the valve adjustment or spark plug replacement but a couple other things could be done. I said to go ahead and do that. When I arrived later to pick up my car, the rep told me the importance of getting the other service done. As I was going to schedule an appointment, which I had to ask for, I could hear another rep literally next to us telling a customer that she needed the exact same service done! This felt like a scam at this point and then when I asked about a manager I had worked with in the past, Aaron Wong, the rep said he didn’t know him and had only been there a month. The rep told me he probably didn’t work there anymore. This immediately triggered a red flag because Aaron had been there for many years. Is this dealership under new management? What’s going on? After paying around $1300, I left unsatisfied but then received a text to which I have yet to receive a response. This is unacceptable and after a decade of being a loyal customer, I will never come back. Also, I got a text below and no one responded to my message.
