5yr maintenance was expensive, but the free shuttle ride ease the pain.

Installed my remote start on my 18 Outback in great time and gave me a rental to take to work. We will definitely be back!

I’ve been taking my Subaru’s to Bachman for several years and trust them to keep my vehicles reliable. Kudos to Robin and the rest of the team at Bachman Subaru.

Traveling across-country, and due for my 66k oil change. That went fine. They offered several extra services; I opted to have them clean corrosion from the top of my battery. It looked like they didn't do much more than spray the battery with a hose. I finally finished the job at home with baking soda and a toothbrush.

Clutch fork squeaks a year after getting them to replace the clutch plate and throw out bearing on my WRX. Obviously cleaned it but didn't bother to relubricate the part. Got a 4 wheel alignment and my steering wheel was off center as well.

I am beyond upset with the lack of care my car received while on their premises. My car was towed to 9800 Bluegrass Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40299 Subaru auto repair shop, on 4/30/2024 @2pm from my home. Which is 15min give or take to Subaru Auto shop. My car would have arrived around 2:15 or so. My car was towed due to a visit to Vavoline for an oil change, where they drained my transmission fluid instead. My Subaru was sent to this Subaru location for evaluation. I was told “Brook, we just pushed your vehicle into the shop. Should know something today!” On 05/02/2024 around 12:20pm. Around 3:17pm on the same day I was notified “Brook, we have your vehicle completed, but are waiting for payment from Valvoline prior to being able to release the vehicle.” The next day on 05/03/2024 I was notified that payment had been received, and my car was ready to be picked up. I came in to pick up my car around 4:30pm that same day. I’m handed my keys and paperwork. I walk to my car, and my car door is unlocked. When I get in I immediately notice my car has been gone through and all my personal belongings are scattered in the front of my car. My baby car video mirror is knocked out of place. My glove box contents physically torn into, my baby Noggle car vent hose pulled from the vent and hose damaged, My OBD2 port socket door was also open. I was fast to run in and notify Subaru that my car had been broken into. I was told that they couldn’t do anything for me until 05/06/2024, when their service manager Kim Fairchild was back in office. I’ll be expecting a response back today. To top off this unfortunate and never should have happened incident. I drive my car back home, the drive of the car seemed in good order… I was at least satisfied with that. But when I pulled into my neighborhood my front hood started smoking and my engine cooling sensor came on. At this point I was mentally broken down. My husband took over to evaluate the situation. He noticed some exposed color wires and that the cover on my engine is completely unsecured, which should for a fact have 4 bolts in place, of which were missing. The insulation under the cover looked to have burned on the engine. We don’t actually know if that is why there was smoke, but that’s what my husband suspected. The bottom cover of my car seems to be loose too. To sum it all up I not only feel violated with my personal things rummaged through and damaged. I also feel disrespected with the lack of attention to detail my car was given during evaluation and after. I will see how this is handled. As of now I can’t say I will be back for any future services, that don’t pertain to this current situation that needs to be investigated and relooked at.

When I purchased my 2000 Subaru Forester sport I also purchased the full maintenance plan. I was told that the Xpress was quick and convenient. That was a lie it is not convenient nor is it swift service. Be prepared whether you make an appointment or not to hurry up and wait anywhere from 2-4 hours. I’ve got one more service I have paid for, and as I sit here at the Xpress center for 2 hours. I’ve decided to forfeit my last maintenance of oil change etc. that I already paid for. I’d rather make an appointment with my family mechanic.

I love my Outback, but I would never buy another one while living in Louisville. Bachman Subaru Service does not seem to have the adequate staff to serve the Louisville area. I scheduled a service visit to see if a front-end noise was something to be concerned about. The soonest they would schedule the visit was for about two-months out. A week before my appointment I received a confirmation call during which I asked them if they could change the oil during my visit. They said they would add that service. After waiting the two months, I received a call the day of the scheduled service telling me that they had run behind and needed to reschedule. After I pointed out that I had already waited for two months, they agreed to let me bring in the vehicle as scheduled and gave me a loaner to use while they checked my car. A week passed during which I received no communication. I finally called and was put on hold and then disconnected. I called again and was put through to service and it went to a recording. I left a message asking for an update. An hour and twenty-four minutes later I received a text apologizing for not updating me sooner and that my vehicle “is one of the next to be inspected.” FOUR DAYS later they texted me that they had sent a report to my email. The report showed a $175 service charge which I had not agreed to. I questioned them on this, and they texted, “Our apologies, it looks like that was not mentioned to you and will be removed.” Nice try. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I discovered that the oil had not even been changed as requested. They said it “would have been changed if the vehicle repairs would have been authorized.” I had not authorized them to perform $1,902.45 of repairs they were recommending. The next day I received a complaint from them because I had not topped off the fuel in the loaner car and because of this, “we are unable to offer this service to you in the future complimentary.” Wow!

We have had OK experiences with routine maintenance but always had to schedule really far in advance. Apparently even if you car has a problem it still takes several MONTHS to get an appointment. Currently (in may) the first appointments aren't until August. Something to seriously consider before buying a Subaru.

First time using Bachman Subaru for service, as I recently moved to Louisville. Great communication with Kim setting up the service appointment. Excellent customer service & great communication by my service advisor, Brian. Matt was my master tech mechanic. He completed the two tasks that I came in to have checked out & completed quickly. It was a fantastic experience. I definitely feel secure in continuing with them for future service issues.

2.5 hours waiting for a scheduled oil change & they had not even started or communicated with me. Thought impossible to be worse than Huffman but well done. Absolutely absurd "service."

Left two separate complaints with the service department and not once did they try to reach out to me. I went there on 12/2/25 and received some of the worst service I have experienced at Bachman. What was supposed to be a simple oil change and new tires ended up with me being there for over 4 hours. My car is driving even worse than before and the entire time I was there not once was I offered a shuttle ride to somewhere, or if I had any warranty’s that would cover damages. I’m extremely disappointed in Bachman Subaru

Scheduled a repair a month ahead for TPMS. Agreed at the desk to replace all 4 sensors. Had to wait 3 hours for them to ask me what all I wanted to be done, showing me all the options. I told them JUST TPMS now for the third time and they confirmed. Had to wait another 30 minutes for them to tell me they need to order the sensors. I took 4 hours out of my day for nothing and for 3 times the price somewhere else. And I don't need them to try to get every last dime out of me offering every service they have when I specifically asked for 1 thing. Never going back.

We had an excellent experience at the service department of Bachman Subaru. I especially want to recognize Kim, who helped us even though it was nearly closing time. My old Forester had suddenly broken down during a long trip on I-65 and was not drivable. Kim and the team quickly identified the issue with the transmission cooling system and fixed it at a reasonable price. The repair was also completed faster than I expected. I’ve been to many Subaru service shops across the West and Midwest, but I’ve never experienced this level of service and customer care. I truly appreciated their professionalism, kindness, and dedication. Thanks to their work, my Forester continues to run smoothly even after moving down South.
