Error in diagnosis. Was told I needed an additional repair (I brought the car in for a different reason which was a quick re-set fix). The service advisor Hugo said the repair that the mechanic said my 3 year old Lexus needed was $7,500. I took the car for a 2nd opinion and after 3 separate tests, I was told there was nothing wrong and that Lexus misdiagnosed and was probably trying to upsell.

I bought my first Lexus in 1999. I've owned one model or the other ever since then. I bought my current RX F Sport at Lexus of Santa Barbara. I've always been impressed by their sales and service team. I was away for a few years helping a friend in Denver. When I returned, Cynthia Martinez, the service manager, was new to me. I met with her to discuss three or four things that needed to be done, including new tires and alignment. I could not have been more impressed with the time I spent with her. She is so professional, obviously loves what she does and addressed every one of my issues respectfully. We laid out a plan for me to bring the car in and do the work over the course of a couple days.Lexus and Cynthia the ultimate are one-stop shopping. The tire price she quoted me compared with Costco. She recommended several replacement tires and printed out their specs and pricing right on the spot. The price for alignment was competitive. And the price for polishing the lenses on the headlamps was actually less than I've been quoted other places. I feel confident in Cynthia and her team because they work on the RXs every day. If you own a Lexus model, I can't imagine taking it anywhere else. This dealership is exceptional and Cynthia Martinez is leading a team that understands the expectations of Lexus owners. It was great working with our Service Rep, also the service was great especially with the loaner vehicle and the drop off. One concern was a week after I received my car back, the vehicle 12v battery died while we were out of state and on vacation. I mentioned that my wallet key was not making good connection and it turns out that my 12v battery was the issue. It would have saved us lots of grief while on vacation, if that issue could have been diagnosed and resolved while SB Lexus had our var for a week, prior to us leaving on vacation.

Lite came on there was a problem with engine, took car right in and diagnostic showed rodents had eaten wiring plus. Car was ready next day with lots of info to prevent problem …lived in same house for 60 years with cars in same garage, no problem..seems companies making wiring are now covering wires with product made of soy. We could have told them rats and mice would like soy. Thank you Lexus s.b. For your fast and kind help. Chris Williams is tops.

Lots of miscommunication with the Lexus Roadside assistance. Finally got my car towed to the Santa Barbara Lexus service center and they had it for two days. Said it only needed a new battery. I am in the process of now driving it over to the Lexus Of Oxnard to see why the Electrical panel has caution lights on and will not lock the doors. Very frustrated.

Excellent service from a hundred and fifty miles away! They were flexible, courteous, and accommodated my timing and distant location. Services were performed to their fullest extent! The service price was extremely expensive but I understand it was the best alternative for my unique need. I wasn't happy about that, but didn't have a better options with the guarantee I needed. They offered me a loaner for a few days, which certainly helped offset the overall cost. I love Lexus!

Lexus came to my house in Templeton from Santa Barbara because there’s no dealer up here in North County. This was very kind of them. There were two recall items on the car and I needed servicing and replacement of a tail light cover. While it was here they discovered rodent invasion and did repairs and put a screen on to keep them out of the inside cabin. They picked up and we delivered the car after all this was done and left me a loaner to use which I really appreciated. They were very courteous on time and communicative.

My brother and I bring our Lexuses from Thousands Oaks, and we use the day to go to the pier and have some Clam chowder, the service is done the same day . We brought our vehicle in for the 25,000 mile service on November 22, 2025 and we are deeply disappointed with the quality of service we have received during our last two visits. While our service representative has consistently been friendly and helpful, the overall service experience has fallen well below the Lexus standard. As previously noted, this is the second consecutive visit in which our vehicle has been returned to us with new exterior scratches. This suggests a concerning level of carelessness, either by the service technicians or by those responsible for washing the vehicle. Although our service representative has offered to buff out the scratches, the solution creates a significant inconvenience for us, as we must travel one and a half hours from San Luis Obispo. We are also concerned about the potential impact of repeated buffing on the vehicles finished.
