Over the past year I have used this shop 3 times. 1st for and a/c leak, 2nd rear wheel bearings, 3rd front wheel bearings. The a/c is still cold and cost me 1/2 of what was quoted, they found the leak wasn’t where we thought. Bearings were very reasonably priced and they got my car back to me in the time quoted. The last set of bearings I thought there was a mechanical issue so I took it back 2 days later. They put it and rechecked all the bolts to make sure nothing was loose as soon as I got there. Turned out it was a tire out of balance. I really liked the fact they safety checked for me with no complaint. They are friendly, professional and do good work. I will be using them again if I could give more stars I would.

As a 20 year-old female, I find that a lot of automotive garages like to take advantage of me. Not only do I look like I don’t know anything about cars, I actually don’t. So I get scammed and taken advantage of. But Aaron and Tyron, the mechanics, are wonderful. Aaron made sure I had the right part that I needed replaced and worked with me over several days to ensure that I had what I needed and that it was done in a timely manner. Tyron was the mechanic that actually replaced to broken part. He did a fantastic job ensuring that the bolts were correctly put back into place and even showed me what it was supposed to look like compared to what I brought in. Overall, both guys did an amazing job not only on my car but had great customer service. Also a quick shoutout to Jordan working in there as well. She was always smiling and made me feel welcomed at the garage. Would 10/10 come back for all of my automotive needs and would recommend it to anyone looking to find a credible and ethical shop in the KC area.

I took a used car I was looking at buying here for inspection. They let me know of a handful of non urgent things (such as new windshield wipers, new shocks within the year) the car would need. I ended up buying the car and a multitude of issues happened within the first month. While some issues they would have needed specific testing for (which I would not expect out of a general inspection), others should have been obvious. The tires were rotted as caught by my boyfriend later on. Most importantly the oil pan and flex pipe were rusted so badly that the flex pipe would end up breaking after 100 miles and leaving me with over $1000 in repairs not covered by warranty due to rust. I asked the OEM mechanic I worked with how this could have been missed and he told me it would be hard to catch unless the car was lifted, once the car is in the air "It's really obvious". SK Auto did lift my car, it was not mentioned. He even showed us we could see the rusted pieces through the grill. Really poor experience.

Got lowering springs done here on 06/03/2025 they scratched both my front fenders (had to find out myself they did not let me know) and told me they will reach out to me when their painter was available and have yet to do so I have called them 3 times and have been told their painter is still not available while waiting for a call back someone brought to my attention my car looked uneven so I went to replace the suspension with coil overs noticed that all corners of the car were different measurements and the lowering springs weren’t all the way seated on one of front struts and the end link to the stabilizer bar was resting on the brake line on the other.

So I came here to get my rear brake pads and rotors replaced last year, when I left the parking lot I noticed the brakes made the metal to metal sound and brought it back. The mechanic over here took my car down the block and said it was nothing wrong. I got him to ride with me to hear what I’m hearing. He noticed the sound and said “hmm… that’s weird, It might be your front brakes”. Mind you, they told me my front brakes were fine before I decided to get my rear brakes done. Then he says “Ooohhh it’s probably that your front brakes pads are not thick enough”. Something about how the car is made that I need a certain type of brake pads. Ok… a year later now, I decided to get my front brakes done from somewhere else because now the metal to metal is worse. Assuming it’s just the front brakes. I went to a different shop after that one just to do the brake inspection for “peace of mind” and they told me your front brakes are fine “pretty much brand new” but your rear brakes are on the “RED”. As if my rear brakes were never even touched last year! I came back to SK auto and the mechanic told me that he’ll take a look at it on Wednesday and they open at 8am! I came here at 8am and no one is here! Someone called him for me and he said he won’t be in until 9:15am! I’ve waited until 9:45am and still no one is here! Wasting people’s time and money is unacceptable. Don’t come here.
