My wife recently had some issues with tire pressure on her new car while I was out of town, she stopped by to get some help and the people here were very responsive and kind towards her. She only ended up needing a little air around all 4 tires and they didn’t even charge her for the service, but that’s not the point. The staff here is very friendly and seemingly community minded and that goes a long ways in my book. I’ve also had many oil changes on various vehicles done here over the years. Great service from great people. I can’t thank you or be grateful enough.

You will not find a better group of people to take care of you or your car. I had a terrific experience getting a pair of rotors put on my car. The price was better than anyone else around and the quality of work was excellent! The manager David really takes the extra effort to make sure that you are taking care of and that the turnaround time on your repair is fast. I will never go anywhere else!

You can trust the work done at Skyland Exxon! They have kept my high mileage car going for years now. The staff is knowledgeable & friendly. The prices are reasonable. If it’s work they don’t do (ie, new tires), they will refer you to someone who does. I would never go back to a dealership. Plus their gas prices are fair.

I stopped here one day for a cup of coffee, but found they only have a coffee maker for customers and the pot was empty. However, they were nice enough to make a fresh pot just for me, and it was complimentary. I was looking for a good local mechanic since I'm new to the area, and had been getting estimates for a timing belt and water pump service. I was so impressed with how nice they were, and how professional the employees seemed I went back and asked them for an estimate. The estimate was the most competitive I'd gotten, and they not only kept the appointment promised, at the exact price quoted, the service was done the same day within just a few hours. They treated my car like gold and returned it without so much as a fingerprint on it. I am very impressed at the level of service and have already recommended them, and will definitely be returning in the future.

Highly recommend their towing service!!! My car broke down in a school parking lot, and I had 4 young children with me. Sean from Skyland Exxon was there within 10 minutes! He troubleshooted a way to get my van to start, so we didn’t have to damage it forcing it onto the tow truck. He drove me and my infant to the dealer, and even helped me carry my sleeping baby in the carseat all around the dealership as I was trying to find someone to help us. Sean went above and beyond and was so very kind and courteous. The highlight of this car disaster for sure! Very reasonably priced as well. I hopefully won’t need them again but they are first on my list to call from now on if I am ever stranded!

10/10 experience! My car broke down right by Advanced Auto Parts and they said it was probably an alternator issue. I called this place up for a tow and he got there in about 20 minutes! I was originally going to have it towed to a mechanic around the area, but I was informed that they also offer mechanic work so I decided to go with them. Boy am I happy I agreed to that! David called me the next morning by 10am with a diagnostic and part in hand ready to go. He was transparent with the pricing and work that it would take and I agreed. He diligently worked to try to make sure he could save my battery (which he did) and he checked out my oil leak while the front was open. The car was ready by 3pm that afternoon with a full run down of everything David saw and did. He was super knowledgable and answered all of my questions with clarity and transparency. He's been in this business for 40 years and you can tell! I can't say enough good things about this place!! I will definitely be coming back here for ALL my future mechanic needs. These are reliable mechanics!!

Been coming here for years, have had everything for my vehicles done here Towing, Tire Repairs Oil changes just about everything done by Lamar Chris Nykeem & Mike for a little over 10 years been very happy with the service and help from Dave and the ladies in the office/store. I'm about to move back to the area and will be again having my vehicles serviced here again. I have seen it all sitting in that waiting room and some advice take the negative with a grain of salt I have seen customers be rude wanting to be next while others are waiting. People just driving into bays or blocking bays when those guys are trying to back out or pull waiting customers cars in. Have seen them have a hard time getting good help when I've seen the Lamar Nykeem & Chris work their butts off while their new help sits on their butts on their cell phones, so i can attest to that. So, you don't see both sides probably have a few disgruntle ex-employees trying to be keyboard warriors or customers taking things out of proportion. Any way you can trust Skyland Exxon will do all they can for your automotive needs, be reasonable with them they will with you. Hopefully be seeing these guys next month. I highly recommend them. Update because i hate liars, if you socalled "been coming for years" you would know they have the alignments done with the cooperation of a another shop that does, that is why there is a wait.

I've been coming to this station for a long time and various services. Today was my first bad experience. I need an alignment. It's a rainy day. Three mechanics are standing outside of an empty Bay talking and laughing when I pulled up. The woman inside said I need an appointment and need to leave it for a few hours. Really? 3 mechanics with nothing to do can't handle an alignment without an appointment? Very disappointed. I hate going to Firestone next door but if you need an appointment and have to leave it for hours, why would I go to Skyland Exxon? I won't go back!

September 18, 2025 I was on my way home to take a trip to Charlotte. My cars communication system messaged me that my tire pressure was low. I needed help. I pulled into Exxons parking lot to ask for help. David came out to look at my tire and brought another person with him. It was determined that my tire had a nail in it and needed to be replaced. I want to mention that I’m an African American woman and David is a Caucasian man. One may ask why that matters. It matters because David cared for my needs like I was family. He called around Arden to get me a good deal on tires. He guided me through the process and made me feel extremely safe. In this climate of racial divide, David renewed my faith in people and reminded me that there are still good people in this world. I’m a fan and will support David’s establishment any time I can.

After trying to deal with a dealership and their overpriced repair suggestions, I was referred to Skyland Exxon by another local shop that didn’t have availability. I’m really glad they sent me here. David was highly professional and straightforward from start to finish. The team worked efficiently, explained everything clearly, and the repair was done right the first time. Honestly, at first I wasn’t sure what to expect since it’s attached to a gas station — but after today’s experience, this will be my go-to repair shop in the area. Great service, fair prices, and trustworthy people. Highly recommended.

Let me first say. I have never had a problem with this location. Been going there for years.. Everyone has always been friendly. I walk in today Sat Dec 27,2025 and ask for an oil change as usual and the girl behind the counter goes into this speech about getting my oil change with my tires.That it needs be done at the same time and blah,blah, blah. It was time for my tires to be rotated. I didn't need an oil change. I didn't appreciate trying to be talked into something I did not need or ask for. Lady was extremely rude. I will never go back. After being told elsewhere that I needed to replace my new tire due to a nail puncture, I brought my vehicle to this location for a second opinion. Even though the shop was very busy upon arrival I was greeted immediately by the front desk and within about 10 minutes my car was already being worked on! After they lifted it, turned out my tire had more than just a single nail but instead of pushing me to replace it, the team carefully assessed the damage, explained the risks, and walked me through my options so I could make an informed decision. I chose to go ahead with a patch, and I was in and out in under 30 minutes with no further issues and was totally affordable! 100% recommend and will absolutely come back for further car needs! A truly wonderful team that delivers honest, efficient, affordable, and friendly service!!
