Keith the manager was awsome! I needed some major thing repaired, and he was straight forward with me, and patient all throughout the process. He and his staff answered all my questions and walked me through everything, including helping me with Koalafi. He was very professional and eazy going. My car is now better than ever, and I can now drive with a peace of mind that I didn't have before. I highly reccomend this person to anyone.

The mechanics and Keith, the supervisor are hustlers. I called to inquire about the cost of a Diagnostic on 5/9/25 and was told by the employee that it was $49. I had it done and was told by Keith that my car wasn't getting enough power and that my battery was 3 yrs old and both the alternator and battery needed to be replaced for $765.14. First of all how does Keith knows the age of my battery when my receipt from Costco shows my battery is 1yr n 8 mo old. Also, I remembered having my alternator replaced 11mos ago by Firestone. I brought this to his attention and proceeded to pay for the Diagnostic and Keith said it was $100 when the employee who answered the phone said it was $49. He said the price doubled and the employee was not aware of it. I took my car back to Firestone today, 5/19/25 to confirm Keith's diagnostic from Speedee/Midas (location on Veterans next to Lexus Dealership). It turns out that my battery n alternator is good and the problem is electrical. Firestone Diagnostic was $39 of which they didn't charge me. I called Speedee/Midas back today to tell Keith about himself but he was off from work. I asked the same employee once again the cost of having a Diagnostic done and was told $49 once again. So they ripped me off $50. I do not recommend their services. They lie, hustle and scam customers by trying to perform unnecessary work on their vehicles.

The staff at the SpeeDee location in Kenner, led by Keith, did an exceptional job on my Infiniti Q50. Aside from the regular oil changes, this appointment was extensive. Keith was very forthcoming about the cost of services and worked me to ensure all that needed to be done was completed as efficiently as possible. I’ve been going here for years just minor stuff / oil changes but the last 3/4 times I’ve had problems they charge me for coolant when I really didn’t need coolant yeah that’s only $12 but I just had it serviced at the dealership right before that and I couldn’t remember when I checked my receipts I had to work done so there’s no way to leak any coolant didn’t check before I brought it there so I couldn’t say if they were lying or not but it’s not leaking now also had AC problem and they wanted to change my whole system turned out. It was just a condenser and it was covered under the manufactured warranty. They didn’t let me know that the last thing that happened. I had an oil change on a f 250 diesel. Super duty takes a lot of oil didn’t drive the truck very much about three months later it broke down and through a code limp mode only drives 10 miles an hour well I didn’t have the money to go get it fixed so it’s sat there just recently found out the code means there’s too much oil in the motor, drained it today. I had 4 quarts at least too much in my motor. Unbelievable cleared codes. It’s running now. I don’t think I’m gonna get reimbursed because the truck sat in my driveway because I didn’t have the money to go somewhere almost a year. This is a result of their poor workmanship don’t go here Update 12/30/2025 I told my son who now owns the doge ram 2011 that yall work on to fix the headlights which are not working on one side of the truck. He went there to see if they could fix the lights that he shouldn’t be having any problems with because they were brand new replacements that y’all charged to install and he was threatened by the mechanics on duty (man I will kill you because you are missing with my money) in front of other customers my son in fear of his life left. The mechanic also told my son he knows where he lives I’m trying to get him to file a police report. What kind of business is this when you get terrible service and your life threatened Ps nobody ever reached out to me from the previous email and complaint and I am the one that filed it not my so he had nothing to do with that transaction I don’t even live at that address and he now is worried that this guy might show up and do something to him or his property

I just came back today from the one by my work since a light went on my dashboard within 5 minutes they checked my tire pressure which was 27 instead of 32 and after checking them all I was a happy motorist with peace of mind!!!!

This auto shop location has gone downhill since new management! I needed a car battery and was charged for a diagnostic to have the old battery tested, without my knowledge might I add! I purchased the overpriced battery ($405) and was charged $200 for installation. 2 months later, the battery died. I went to SpeeDee for it to be checked and was told by George (MOD), that it was not the battery but the alternator instead. I was thinking to myself it's no way it should be the alternator, given my vehicle is just a few years old. He quoted me an astronomical price for the alternator to be replaced. Upon leaving, one of the mechanics pulled me to the side, letting me know the vehicle codes were not reregistered after the battery was replaced, which may have been the reason for the battery to die. Needless to say, I did not get a new alternator, nor did I plan to return to SpeeDee after the horrible service I received! A few days later, my car did not start. I had it towed to another auto shop. Come to find out, the battery was bad and a diagnostic was performed. The diagnostic determined that the alternator was good. I purchased a new battery from that auto shop. I attempted to return the bad 2 month old battery back to SpeeDee to get a full refund. I was told by the manager that they could only replace the battery and I would have to return the battery I just purchased. I did not and will not allow SpeeDee to replace my battery due to my prior experience! Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!

OMG!!!...these people are absolutely awesome!...They are professional and very knowledgeable. they really made me feel comfortable. Someone came to explain the process before during and after the work was complete. Mr. Keith, the store manager, made sure to give me the best price on the jobs I needed done. And Chris, the mechanic, made sure my car was running perfectly. And it definitely is...I am ALWAYS skeptical about going to mechanics alone since I'm a female because of all the horror stories I've heard...but I HIGHLY recommend THIS place to EVERYONE!!!

This place is the worst! They made me spend over $1,000 for a problem that could have been fixed for only $100. I would definitely recommend this small gem tucked away in the corner to anyone needing car repairs. I did not have an appointment but, I was still able to get my car services done within a reasonable amount of time. The manager greeted me as soon as I pulled in. He kept me abreast of all findings and ensured I understood the solutions. I would greatly recommend this location to friends and family. I forgot the manager’s name but I just want him to know that I appreciated his customer service skills, kind and effective. This SpeeDee-Midas is a great place to bring your car. Keith really cares about his customers. My mom has been bringing her car to him for years. He does a great job, they all do a great job. The prices at this shop are very fair and they go beyond what they need to do, great quality work.
