We took 2 cars today to Southbury Splash Car Wash and we had the full detail on both. I cannot say enough about the service. Shawn took true pride in the job he did and it was fantastic!! All of the employees take such pride in their work and it shows!! Won our business for sure. We WILL be back.

DO NOT go to Splash Car Wash. I pulled in and asked for the most basic $19.95 wash. When I tried to pay with cash, I was told they only accept credit or debit. After I gave them my card, the employee pitched a “special promotion” — unlimited washes for 30 days, just a one-time charge of $19.95, and said it would cancel automatically. Sounded like a fair deal, so I agreed. Big mistake. Not only did this car wash severely damage my vehicle, but they also engaged in shady, borderline fraudulent billing practices. After going through the wash, I noticed a large chunk of paint missing from my bumper — not just a scratch, but actual paint ripped off down to the bare surface. My rims were scraped up, and my alignment was completely thrown off. When I brought this to the manager’s attention, he took absolutely no responsibility and shrugged it off as “not their fault.” To make matters worse, they saved my card information and continued charging me for a membership I never agreed to beyond the first month. When I tried to cancel in person — as that’s supposedly the only way to cancel — they still didn’t process it. I had to contact my credit card company and report it as fraud to stop the charges. This place is a scam. Damaged my vehicle, repeatedly charged my card without permission, and offered zero accountability. I’ll be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and speaking with a lawyer to pursue legal action. This business should be shut down. A complete disgrace.

Don't waste your money. Pay for the top of the line wash and get home to discover the car needs to be washed again because it looks horrible. Interior was half wiped down, Rims were partly cleaned, Tire treatment was splashed on the body and didn't cover entirety of the tires. Avoid like the plague.

Horrible experience all the way around, I would give them 0 stars if I could....I paid $41.47 to have "The Works" and now I am sorry pulled into the SPLASH Southbury location in the first place. I had to beg the employee wiping down my vehicle to get the dirt off the front bumper. The rear hatch still has dirt and now scratch marks on it. The employee putting the ArmorAll on the tires was literally pouring it on the top side of the tire and letting it run down the sidewalls. When I asked him to wipe the tires, he copped an attitude and as you can see from the picture, never did.

Disappointing Service and Poor Attention to Detail – Wasted $40 I paid $40+ for a car wash today and left extremely disappointed. The job was rushed and half-done—streaks, missed spots, and dirt still visible in multiple areas. When I pointed it out, the initial response was to upsell me on a “detailed” package, which felt dismissive. The manager eventually stepped in and gave slightly more attention, but it was too little, too late. Despite a full staff, no one seemed to care—many just going through the motions, pretending to work. For the price, this level of effort is unacceptable. Talking to friends in Southbury, they’ve expressed the same concerns. I hope the owners fix this soon.

My car was full of leaves and dirt from years of not washing my car! (Bad, I know) but I took my car to Splash for a wash and detail with ceramic wax and it looks brand new :) highly recommend this car wash for the quality and care, and the friendly and helpful staff (shout out to Marie!)

Honestly the car wash was overrated, limited vacuums available and poor communication from staff who tried to charge me an additional 14 dollars to do the interior when I expressed I wanted exterior only . Additionally, the vacuum station that has 4 spots available in front of it, 3 of which were used as parking spots. Overall I will not be returning due to my unfavorable experience.

I want to thank Ryan for the the amazing service! I bought a bad product trying to wax my own car and it wouldn’t buff out. Ryan was able to remove the oily film and he restored it to its original shine. The splash team was very friendly as well! I am a forever customer! Thank you!!!!

I have tried Splash car wash twice with equally disappointing results. I paid $43.59 for an interior clean and exterior wash. This was their top of the line wash which didn’t include ceramic . Vacuuming was incomplete with visible dirt on carpet and seats. My windows were cleaned with a dirty rag which left them in much worse condition than when I arrived. I had to spend 20 minutes removing the streaks and oil from them inside and outside when I got home. A wet rag was left on the floor of my front seat. Won’t waste my money a third time!

Shawn has detailed my cars numerous times over the years and has done a spectacular job. I wouldn't go to anyone else. Even though my current car is a 2019, it comes out looking brand new every time thanks to Shawn's extraordinary and diligent efforts. He is the main reason I keep coming back to Splash. I'd give him ten stars if I could.

First time getting and oil change here and the service was spectacular. Very efficient and extremely professional. The fact that it comes with a car wash is just an added bonus well worth the money considering how prices for things have gone up so much. Would def recommend to everyone. I will be brining my second car back here for sure.

Absolute disaster. Avoid at all costs. This was hands-down the worst car wash experience I’ve ever had. They did NOT pre-rinse the car at all before sending it straight into the brushes. All the dirt and grit was left sitting on the paint, and then—surprise—it got dragged across my brand new car like sandpaper. To make things worse, there was barely any soap. I’m not even sure what was coming out of the nozzles, because it definitely wasn’t enough to lubricate or clean anything. The result? Scratches. Everywhere. Exactly what you don’t want on a new vehicle. This place managed to do the opposite of a car wash: it damaged my paint instead of cleaning it. Completely unacceptable and incredibly careless. If you value your car even a little, stay far away. I wouldn’t bring a rental here, let alone a new car.

Been a customer for many years. Drove 300+ miles from Maine and arrived at 3:59 (closing at 4:00), only to be past the cones and be pushed out, with the Tesla I tailgated {directly in front of me} being allowed in to the wash. I want to like and keep supporting this place but now I'm looking for somewhere new. All I wanted was the automatic wash (no vacuum) but had to awkwardly back out instead: it felt very arbitrary and the woman was extremely abrasive.

Splash is a great place for oil change and car wash. I brought my car in for an oil change. The technician said that my oil was clean and didn’t need a change. That is integrity. I will be bringing all my cars back. Thank you!

Long story short. Paid extra for works wash that included undercarriage wash and some extra polish and sealant and self vacuuming. Seemed expensive but I needed the undercarriage wash to get the Salt off the bottom of my truck. When my son and I went through, there was a sign indicating that the undercarriage wash was being applied and normally you can hear and feel the spray from underneath the car. We felt nothing. When we got out the four vacuuming spots were full so we pulled over to where they were drying the cars and the woman said I would have to wait, which we did about 10 minutes. When we pulled into the spot we found out the vacuums were awful. They barely sucked anything and also the hose was not long enough to reach the other side of the car. There were four spots and two of them were taken up by employee vehicles. I’m not sure why they would park there, but probably because the vacuums were awful and nobody wanted to use them anyway. Which was clearly not discussed when I paid for the service you could tell the inside of the wash is short and I’m not sure if any of the polishes or sealants were even applied. It’s kind of scammy. Seemed like just a little soap and then brushes and then a rinse. Truck came out with soap streaks. I looked under the truck and it was dry. Paid the extra for tire shine and “wheel brite”. Not sure what that was. Tire shine guy just ran a circle around each tire with a sponge and wiped the rims with a dirty rag. Worst 28 bucks I’ve ever spent. Save yourself. Listen if it was 15 dollar gas station wash I’d be like you get what you pay for but this play is pricey! If you want them to vacuum is almost 45 bucks with tax. I e. Went to very nice car washes that are like 125 feet long and you get what you pay for. This thing is like 30-40 feet long and just not great. Just not at all worth it. I thought I was treating myself and my truck but really I just got played. Seems Like lots of similar bad reviews. B

Shawn is absolutely amazing. He leaves my car looking brand new every time he details it. My husband and I have been using his services for years, and he consistently delivers exceptional work at a very reasonable price. Thank you, as always, Shawn.

Everyone wants to feel like a local — recognized with a “Want the usual?” or a knowing smile and a “Welcome back.” Miguel is that guy at Splash Southbury. He makes you feel like a regular. No matter which station he’s working, he goes above and beyond and takes real pride in what he’s doing. The finish station is another highlight. The drying, tire dressing, and attention to the windows are consistently impressive. The team there clearly cares about the details. The reason for my 4-star review instead of 5 is the soap application in the wash tunnel. Other car washes fully coat your vehicle in thick foam. At Splash Southbury, the soap application is minimal — just a few weak squirts that cover a little of of the hood and roof surfaces. Zero on the sides. Soap serves two key purposes: it helps lift dirt from the paint and it lubricates the surface to reduce the risk of scratches. I’d love to see them stop skimping on the soap and match the quality of the pre-wash and finish crew!

Excellent experience with recent car wash. Stopped going (for decades) to my previous car wash because of new ownership with less service for more money. Splash staff was courteous, thorough, powerwashed the car, hand towel dry for a reasonable price. I will certainly go back. I would only add that I could not find a tip container for the staff.
