I had the best experience here today and would recommend them to everyone. Everyone was very nice and friendly. The establishment was clean. I went for an inspection (ended up not needing) and emissions and was out of there in 30 min max with no appointment. They even put air in my tire complimentary. 5 star service.

Brought in a year and a half old vehicle for oil leak. I knew it was likely the drain plug or oil filter, likely not tightened properly from last oil change. Was charged $79 to diagnose the problem! They said it was a charge for a half hours rate. Was either taken advantage of or this shop has some serious competence issues. Oh, and they require deposit up front, which should tell you how they like to operate. I recommend looking elsewhere for competent, honest auto care. Can’t wait to see their response here as I just took some time to read some of the reviews. Good companies rarely have negative written reviews. Here, there are many. Wish I would have read these sooner.

I refer people here all the time. Very large fast facility can handle most things from state inspection to collision repair. Setup comparable to any dealership yet is better as a local shop with a easy central location. Great wait room and clean lot adjacent to amazing STL history.

They failed to secure my vehicle when I had Iit towed there for service and someone robbed it of enough items for it to be a felony. I was told by an employee that they don't lock the car doors on their lot to avoid broken windows. Had I known that was policy or something I would have never sent my vehicle there for service. I thought this was a great place to do business but I was off better leaving my truck parked on the street because nothing happened to it there. Its unfortunate but I will not consider them for future business or send them as a referral at all . Please heed the warning they don't secure your vehicle leaving it open for anyone to steal or vandalize it.

I love how they are attentive to detail, show you what is wrong, give an estimate of what the cost will be, keep you informed of progress, provide a comfortable environment and provide a clean environment for their employees and customers. All the employees are courteous and friendly.

I had the absolute worst experience with this company. I dropped off my 2012 Chevy Malibu because it had stopped on me. They took a couple days to diagnose my vehicle. Told me I needed a whole new engine. Total charge for diagnostics was $340. Shouldn’t take more than a hr diagnose but ok. I relaid to the company I needed some time to figure out if I could come up with 4K to get the engine replaced or make other arrangements. They said that was fine. My vehicle was there for 3 weeks at most. Two days before I picked up my car, I stopped by to speak with them about my vehicle, and noticed my car was sitting outside with windows down. I decided to stop by during the night to see if this was how they were storing my vehicle. It was in deed how they were storing my vehicle. The next morning I came to pick up my vehicle because I made up my mind that this isn’t where I would want my vehicle to get worked on because of how they treated your vehicle. After paying for the diagnostic I went to conduct a better examination of my vehicle to find my engine cover sitting in my back seat with oil pooling on the floor with a bunch of water from were they left my window open. Not to mention we had an ice/ snow storm over the days that my vehicle was outside with the window down. So I calmly proceeded to voice my concerns to the owner “PJ” who replied that it would be an additional 1hr of labor to clean up and put my engine cover back on. At this point I was very upset from the response so I said it ok don’t worry about the cover. Just clean the oil and water out of my car. I proceeded to take pictures. But honestly I’d NEVER recommend bringing your vehicle to this place if this how they conduct business.

My truck has been worked on twice at St. Louis Auto. Both times, I've received professional and prompt service. I won't hesitate to refer them to family and friends.

On September 3, I had my vehicle towed to St. Louis truck and auto because it was vandalized and I was worried about my gas tank being tampered with however they did not follow my instructions. I wanted them to check my gas tank or drop the tank to make sure that nothing had been put in it and that my engine would run fine. I told them I did not care about the cost and that I would pay for it out-of-pocket because I wanted my vehicle drivable as soon as possible, even though I know that I would need the body fixed due to the vandalism.. They decided to wait and talk to my adjuster, even though that is not what I wanted I did not even want them to complete all of the bodywork. I had a shop in Belleville, Illinois that I would rather have sent it to. They transferred my vehicle to their collision department, and the communication was sparse. They never got a sample of the gas because they said there was no gas in the tank and I’m pretty sure I never drive it on empty. It is a brand new vehicle that I just purchased in March. I Feel like they procrastinated on doing what I asked so that they could get the whole job to complete all the work on the vehicle so they could get the insurance payout which I did not like it all. I have been giving the runaround on the day that my vehicle will be ready. I was told that it would be ready this past Friday and then when I called back to confirm, I was told next week the communication is poor, which causes many doubts with this company, I will be taking my jeep to the dealership to make sure everything was done properly, and nothing was overlooked for my own peace of mind. I would never bring my vehicle back here again.. it was only out of convenience since it was close to me but it was not so convenient after all as I am STILL waiting for my vehicle.

PJ and his crew do fantastic work. My Nissan 350Z looks better than it has in years. All body damage was repaired and looks like new. I would definitely recommend 👍

Professional and friendly. we’ll work with the customer within reason. The prices are the going rate for certified mechanics and definitely cheaper than the dealership without a doubt. They have been around for years and they are honest.

I'm a long time loyal returning customer that brought every vehicle i had to you for various services. That stopped when your new estimator doubled the labor cost by inputting add on labor as piece work to task already having labor included. Brake removal for bearing full replacement.

Took my vehicle in to get a diagnostic test after my check engine light came on. The wait time was less than an hour from arrival to completion, which was surprising given the amount of people who were there before me. And the final cost for the service was significantly less than the initial estimate. As previously noted, the customer service is exceptional. Everyone you encounter are professional, courteous and just genuinely nice people. This has been my go to location for my annual emissions test. The staff are personable and professional. Service is quick and prices are reasonable. Customer service is really excellent. Highly recommend.

I would strongly encourage anyone to avoid this place. They damaged my vehicle after they offered to fix a mistake they made. It’s in worse condition than when I brought it in and is currently not drivable because of the damage. I went in looking to get a potential electric issue diagnosed and fixed (trouble accelerating, dim headlights, windows not rolling down). My car also had a code for my ignition voltage, I believed that the code and issues were connected and communicated that to them. I told them my ignition switch was also broken, and that they needed to turn my car on a certain way. I told the man creating the ticket that I was open to getting the ignition switch repaired but wanted to focus on diagnosing the issues I described first. To put it simply: Lisa said the man misunderstood what I was asking for, put in the wrong info on the ticket, and I didn’t find out the wrong issue was repaired until I had already paid $500. They repaired my ignition switch and didn’t even look at my acceleration or headlights, or why my windows weren’t rolling down. Those issues weren’t put on the ticket even though we clearly discussed it when I dropped my car off. I didn’t discover any of this until I had already paid and went to pick my car up. I emailed them explaining everything from my end and what was communicated to me, and I asked for a refund for the $175 diagnostic fee (since the problem never got diagnosed), and the $300 for the ignition switch since I wouldn’t have consented to the repair had I been told it wouldn’t fix any of the issues I was having. Lisa calls me and leaves a voicemail asking to chat. I call her back, she answers the phone and laughs at me when I say all this and sends me to voicemail. On the voicemail I said I’d be doing a chargeback with my bank and that the laughter was unprofessional. Lisa calls back being very polite and explains the misunderstanding that happened, and asked if I could drop my car off again so they could look at the correct issue instead of the refund. I agree and drop my car off. They then “repair” my ignition lock cylinder saying it was broken, and said my windows worked fine. I get my car back, nothing is fixed. All issues are still there. Then I see they installed the ignition crooked. Now, The farthest I can turn my key left is to the accessory position. The ignition is now tilted to the right, so it’s constantly in accessory position with the key out. I can’t turn my car off once it’s on. The engine will shut off but the battery and security light stay on, and so does the radio. I’ve come out to a completely dead battery multiple times. The only way to avoid killing my battery is to disconnect it. The only way I can turn my car off is by turning my car on and off 50+ times so I can slowly shift the ignition to the off position. (see attached photos, total time it took to turn off my car was about 25 minutes). Ignition is very “sticky” and I struggle to turn my key at all. I’m sure they’d offer to fix it, but I’m never trusting these people with my car again. Now I’m going to have to spend another $500 just to repair the damage they did to my ignition. Total cost is now at $1,000, and MY ORIGINAL ISSUE STILL IS NOT DIAGNOSED OR FIXED. There’s a reason they have the worst reviews in the area. Go somewhere else.
