I couldn’t have had a better experience with Sylvia and Greg this week. They were immensely helpful and quite literally saved my life when my car was having serious issues. I stopped by without an appointment very upset about my car and they happily accommodated me despite being very busy. Their team was able to immediately identify the issue. The necessary parts for my car arrived the next day and my car is now in perfect condition. I highly recommend this auto repair shop!!

HORRIBLE EXPIERENCE !! I was lied to, gender profiled, and charged for services that I did NOT receive. I brought my vehicle to Stamford Auto Repair for a "Tune Up" which I was told (over the phone, in person, and at the time of payment) includes the items/ services listed below - Replacement of cabin and engine air filters - Replacement of spark plugs - Engine power wash - PCV valve replacement - Multi-point inspection - Rotation of tires and set tire pressure - Fill washer solvent, inspect all under-hood fluids Upon dropping off my vehicle, I notified George (office personnel) that I had previously been made aware of a leak in my power steering line, causing the fluid to drain rapidly. I specified that I would like my power steering pump to be filled, even though my "request" was already been told to be included with the "Tune Up" service. George reiterated that my request was included in the service and reassured me that the service would be done. Later I received a call from George asking if I would like to include a under carriage wash in my service in order to confirm that the leak was in fact, coming from my power steering pump. I confirmed that I would like to add the service. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, George said that everything was "all set" and "his guys completed all of the services", so I paid and waited for George to pull my car out of the garage. As George was pulling the car out HE said "wow, this is pretty bad you are going to need power steering fluid". At this point I am utterly confused as this service was supposed to be included in the "Tune Up" (and I specifically requested the service). George calls a mechanic from the back and asks him to fill the pump - which he did. The excuse I was given as to why the fluid was not filled, was "they could not find the fluid" but at this point, I am now wondering what else was not done, being that I wasn't notified at the time of payment about any services they were unable to complete, and instead was told that I was "good to go". I asked George to show me all of the old parts they "replaced" - which he did. I then asked George to walk me through each service on the invoice, it was THEN brought to my attention that multiple services listed, AND paid for, were not done. (Listed below) - Engine power wash - CLEARLY WAS NOT DONE - Tire Rotation and wheel alignment - WAS NOT DONE - Fill Washer solvent - WAS NOT DONE - Due to not having the fluid on hand - Under-hood fluids - CLEARLY WAS NOT DONE I requested a refund of the services that were not completed and was told I would not be able to receive a refund. At this point I felt 100% lied to, robbed & taken advantage of, being that I am a women. It wasn't until my boyfriend arrived that the issues were being addressed. Shortly after my boyfriend arrived, Will (Manager) spoke with him and addressed our concerns. At first, he seemed hesitant to taking any accountability. After he inspected my vehicle, he confirmed that the services listed above were NOT done even though it was never brought to my attention, and I was still charged for them. We did receive a partial refund but nonetheless, I was 100% lied to, and taken advantage of. It wasn't until my boyfriend was present that I was shown some sort of respect as any paying customer is warranted to have. Very obvious (PAID) services were blatantly ignored. Though we received a refund, this does NOT negate the fact that I was lied to and charged for services I did not receive. Needless to say, we will never go back, and my suggestion to you is that you stay far away from these lying thieves.

I hate to write a negative review about a place I used to like and go to for all my wife and my car's service for the last several years but I feel it's necessary considering how far the company has fallen. When the company was smaller and Isaac was more involved it ran far more smoothly and efficiently with integrity but since he has moved onto other ventures the company has fallen into disarray especially when it comes to pricing, communication and staff. The receptionist in particular is awful to deal with. He clearly has little experience in the field, does not care at all about any of the customers, is a terrible communicator and is constantly contradicting himself. I've personally seen him having multiple arguments with customers because of this. I stuck with them for the past year because of my loyalty and experience working with Isaac but after my last experience my wife and I will not be returning. I brought my car in after making an appointment and then left it for a several hours but was told "they were too busy to work on your car-sorry". I brought it back again (for some reason) and they finally diagnosed it after several hours with a recommendation to replace the AC condenser. They quoted me $1500. After researching other garages/mechanics, every single one was $800-$1200. It is truly a shame because I had referred many customers from the community. Isaac- if you read these reviews, I do hope you look into how the receptionist is communicating with your customers. Like I said before, I've seen you lose many in the past year and you have now lost 2 more.

Cannot express how great, quick, and professional this place is compared to other mechanics in Stamford. None of the usual dread and drudgery is involved when having to take your car here whatsoever. Starting from the front of office, George is always a wonderful help with a wealth of knowledge, and an enthusiastic and warm demeanor that feels supportive and inviting. I moved to this area last month. Within this month, unfortunately, my car decided it needed random work done and I bumped into more random but serious car issues (brakes one time and I ran over a dead deer another time). Great place to service your car at a reasonable price. The staffs there were very accommodating and understanding. George and Oscar were great people to work with. I've been there to repair airflow sensors to pass emission test and to body and mechanical damages incurred from hitting debris on a highway. I liked the fact that they were willing to let me to purchase my own parts to save costs and provided multiple price options when it came to buying parts for repairs. More importantly, they make a genuine effort to resolve any outstanding issue at little or no cost if your problem isn't resolved after an initial repair. The customer service here was great and the mechanical service was above satisfactory. I highly recommend for customers who are making out of pocket expenses for repairs.

While driving on I-95 during a work trip on Sunday last month, I had to stop in Stamford because of an issue with my car. I researched auto body shops and chose Stamford Auto Repair based on its positive reviews. I went first thing Monday morning and they were able to see me promptly. The staff was professional and honest offering options for me to choose based on my situation. I was charged a very fair fee and had a great customer service experience. While sitting in the waiting area for the work to be completed, I overheard the interaction of regular customers. They were all happy to return for their auto service needs. If I lived in the area, I’d definitely make the switch to Stamford Auto Repair and recommend everyone consider them!

Absolutely scam they ask for diagnose the car per hour 165$ and they won’t provide details on what they did in that hour and what they diagnosed but they will say ohh I think we need to change this part and then you pay 600$ and the problem is same then they ask for next step of diagnostic why they didn’t ask for engine compression first before changing the thermostat just try to make money they won’t car about costumers lost or damage trust me guys dont go there ..💔

If I could give this guy 100 or more stars I would!!!.. I highly recommend this place!!!!!.. this guy Is fast professional and knows EXACTLY what is wrong with your car..plus he will not overcharge you like the mechanic did to me in Monroe, Connecticut, where I live, he charged me $4000 and my car still was not working!!.. SO I brought my car to Stamford auto-repair AND BOY WAS I GLAD I DID!!!.. I will definitely use Stamford auto repair from now on !!..I will not go to anyone else.The guy is honest and everything.I don't know what else to say about it , but it's highly recommended !!!!!!.. Avoid this place at all costs! I stopped here in Stamford with a flat tire, expecting a quick and fair fix. They tried to charge me $45 for something any decent shop would do for around $25. Normally, I even tip $5–$10 for good service. When I refused the $45, they suddenly dropped it to $30, saying they’d just “put some liquid inside” the tire. Seriously? This is pure price gouging. If you value your money and honesty, stay away from this place. There are plenty of honest mechanics in Stamford—this isn’t one of them.

We were visiting Stamford on vacation and suddenly experienced a high screeching noise coming from our car. We called Stanford auto repair, which was the only repair shop that was open on a Saturday afternoon. Even though it was half an hour before closing time, they told us to come right over. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it, staying late to complete the work. They were incredibly helpful, courteous, and friendly, and we highly recommend them.
