Untrustworthy service station: When I bought the car, the promotional program was free oil changes for life, but when I went in last Saturday I was told that the program was cancelled because I did not follow the maintenance they asked and it was very expensive. In fact, I've done it elsewhere and it was at least two-thirds cheaper.

There’s an extremely rude, middle-aged, African American male employee (at the garage entrance) who thought it prudent to outright yell at me, and make a snide comment about me getting food from the vending machine, for not checking in inside after my paperwork was processed. Neither he nor no one else instructed me to check in. This individual should be fired, and probably blacklisted from having employment at any car service center (or maybe even employment, period) again.

This specific review is for the WIFI here only. I’ve been here an hour so far — it is not very crowded — and it is nearly mission impossible to get on the service center’s WiFi in the waiting area. And, once on, it’s mission impossible to stay on. Considering the number of chairs here, and that everyone has a smartphone, and a handful of folks have laptops, for the love of God, Subaru, could you get a better, stronger, more capable system so customers can be efficient while we wait?

The second time I took care of the car on June 24! Today is July 5th. I opened the front case cover. I found that the car’s coolant was not added, and the glass water was not added! I am disappointed! Your job is very dereliction of duty!

The worst. You call, they hang up on you. When you go there, they don’t even treat you as a person. Go to Koeppel Subaru. They mostly care about their customers.

They took a look at my car and turns out I needed an extensive repair to the engine. Financially it was not something that I could do at the moment so needed to take my car back to have fixed at a later date. See the attached pictures of how they packed the parts into my car. Very Unprofessional!!

Every time I come here for service, they mess things up completely. Subaru is a great car, but this service center is terrible. Try not to buy your car from Star—go to another dealer instead.

I brought my Subaru in for a regular 2-year maintenance check. I’ve been getting my annual service done at this center since I bought the car, but this recent visit left me extremely disappointed. The morning after the service, I noticed that my dash cam wouldn’t turn on. When I checked, I found that the power line had been completely cut in the middle — a clean, scissor-like cut. I reviewed the SD card and saw video footage of my car being moved inside the center, but all files from about two hours before I picked up the car were missing. Normally, my dash cam records continuously, so it was clear that something went wrong during or after the service. Assuming it could’ve been an accident, I called the service center to ask about it. I spoke with Sherborne Williams, who repeatedly denied that anyone from their staff had gone inside my car. However, instead of showing understanding or trying to help, his response was defensive and rude. He raised his voice several times, refused to take any responsibility, and didn’t even offer a simple apology. If the issue had been handled with professionalism or a sincere explanation, I would have been willing to let it go. But the complete lack of respect and accountability made the experience even worse than the dash cam issue itself. I strongly recommend that anyone using this Subaru service center inspect your car thoroughly before leaving, and make sure your dash cam and other devices are still working properly afterward.

Staff were all respectful and professional from the moment I drove into the Bay Area to the checked in and check out time. I was very pleased with the service. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. The staff communicated via text and sent a video review of all completed services. In all, it was one of my best experiences at a service center with a reasonable wait time.
