PREJUDICE!!!! DO NOT GO THERE!!! Worst experience ever!!! Me and two of my sisters were traveling & the back tire blew out! We googled the nearest tire shop and Strickland came up! We sat outside while 5 men stood there and watched us in the hot sun try to remove the back tire! They never came out or offered to help! After 17 mins my sister decided to walk up to the guy and ask if they could help us! The guy immediately and very rudely told my sister “we don’t have any tires” never once leaving the he was in. While there were tired EVERYWHERE in the shop, I asked him was there something wrong with the million tired they had on the shelf he proceeded to say “ ma’am I can see from here I don’t have your size”. They then laughed as I walked off saying “ you might find one 3 miles down the road”. We googled the next tire shop which was not even half a mile away, again he lied!! And said he didn’t have to service us if he didn’t want!! I’ve never experienced prejudice 1st hand but today on my “Birthday” I did! I’m extremely upset and hurt that ppl like this still exists.

FANTASTIC service and honest pricing. I am 100% disabled Master Mechanic but do to my beat up body I am limited as to things I can do. Larry fixed my truck found a second problem and fixed that for cost of the part, he had no idea of my past. Larry and his staff are great !!!!!!

Ask for a quote first and don't pay with a card. These are my only bits of advice, otherwise be prepared for a 3 percent credit card charge, even if you use a debit card. 3 hours labor, at $100 an hour, to replace radiator hoses and refill the coolant.

Pretty shotty service. First it took them over 5 hours to even look at my car despite having an appointment. Then it took two weeks for parts to arrive. After paying an exorbitant amount of money for repairs, I had to return twice to have them deal with grinding noises from their own repairs. My girlfriend called to ask some basic questions and was met with defensiveness and hostility. I was present for the phone call and heard every word, and they later tried to claim she was rude to them, not realizing i had heard it all. 0/10 on service and work. Never again. Edit: called back two weeks later because my car was still making noise due to their bad repairs. The owner proceeded to be rude as can be and give me a hard time about this review, said he would order the part, and just ghosted me. This place has awful service, does bad work, and the owner seems to think he's immune to criticism. The worst experience I've ever had with a business in this state. I just want the repairs I paid over $1000 for to be done properly, and apparently that's too much to ask.

I can't even give this place a star... They are the worst. I was told my engine was shot, I had a cracked block, and blew a head gasket when this man never looked at my car to see what was really going on. Had my car for a week with no communication at all.. then decided to call and say I don't want to work on your car. Turns out all I need is a thermostat and some spark plugs. I guess because I'm a woman he thinks I'm stupid. I would not recommend this micanic to anyone. He is a joke and literally is a scam artist and lier. You suck!

Engine light was on and needed at least a fan belt. It turned out to needed a valve cover also. They tried to find one more reasonable priced for me...I felt like they were really working for me and cared about my car. It took a couple of days but when I got it back it drives more smoothly then when I first got the car! I felt like I could count on them to not gouge me or tell me I needed things I didn't! I really felt like I could trust them! Very important feeling for a single woman!

I had a problem with my car's AC. Larry got me in quickly and repaired the issue. So far, so good! It cost me less to have Strickland Automotive repair my AC than for Goodyear in Lady Lake to tell me what was wrong it. I told Larry that I'll bring my car back for continuing maintenance. This place deserves zero stars. I strongly advise against going here if you value quality repairs for your vehicle. I’ve had two vehicles serviced by them, and both experiences were disastrous. They "fixed" the AC in my van but only rigged a temporary solution, which ultimately cost me $1,200 to fix properly. Then, during an engine swap, they destroyed the main wiring harness and the ECM, leaving me with a $5,000 repair bill. Avoid this shop at all costs.

My car broke down on my way to work on I-75 going north to The Villages today. I waited almost 2 hours for the tow truck to arrive. Meanwhile, I decided to have it towed to Strickland Automotive in Wildwood, FL. It was truly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I had planned to take a Lyft ride home because I live 40 minutes south, but much to my surprise the mechanics put it up on the rack immediately and told me that they thought they could have it up and running soon so I could drive it home and to cancel Lyft, so I did. The automotive shop customer service is 10 stars, and they had my car up and running in about an hour. They are very honest, courteous and reasonable. I am beyond grateful and impressed with this automotive shop. If you need any services performed on your car, I highly recommend that you take it here. They are top-notch!!!
