Couldn't have had a better experience here. I found a leak in my rear tire on Monday evening- unfortunately, a screw had punctured the tire. I saw that Sullivan's was close to my place so I went online and used their easy to navigate website to make a request for an appointment. Someone got back to me the same day to confirm the appointment for Tuesday. I brought the car in, the employees were polite and helpful, they patched the hole, and I had the car back within a couple of hours. Based on previous experiences with other garages I was mentally prepared for this to be a drawn out ordeal costing tons of money, but this was the exact opposite: Sullivan's was fast, no hassle, inexpensive, and straightforward.

Everyone at Sullivans is so great! Two times I’ve come last minute with emergency car issues and both times the people at Sullivan’s were willing to make time to help me out, even staying past closing time. They are the best, I highly recommend!!!

The prices were competitive, and the website showed all the fees (tire disposal etc.) so there were no surprises when it came time to pay. They made a few recommendations for some other maintenance items, but did not try to pressure me or hard-sell me which I appreciated. The staff members I interacted with were courteous and informative. All around a great experience.

I have been coming here for the last couple of years since people are nice and the prices are competitive. However, I have noticed that they are constantly understaffed and accept more appointments than they can handle, leading to poor service. I can give a couple examples of this. One time I had dropped off my car at my 8am appointment time and at the end of the day, they called to tell me that service was not done because they didn’t have enough people working that day, so I had bring back my car the following day. Most recently, I went in to get a state car inspection and got charged, but I later found out it was never done. What upset me even more was when I was driving back for the state inspection in the rain, one of the windshield wipers they replaced the week prior broke off. I suspect that the windshield wiper was poorly installed. I think the frustration I experienced during my last visit is enough for me to consider going elsewhere in the future.

The front desk staff person was very passive aggressive. She ignored me the first 5 minutes, fine-maybe she’s busy :) I waited patiently. Was finally greeted rudely. I didn’t know if my tire was flat or just needed air…..she replied “ no appointments today. They are busy” when I asked if they could please just quickly look at the dashboard alert light-not even fix it, just look so I know if it’s safe to drive, she said “they are not going to stop what they are doing just to help you”

To preface, I’ve never written a google review before. SUMMARY: got two tires replaced here, they won’t hold air, company refuses to make it right and is telling me the problem doesn’t exist. I got my front tires replaced here, went home for the holidays, and came back to find that the front tires were visually very deflated, tire pressure 10 psi when it should be 30. I filled the tires back up twice, but after a few days each time, the tires were deflated again to about 15 psi. This was only on the two tires replaced by Sullivan, and had never been a problem until I got serviced by them. The manager refused to make this right and would not admit that this was an issue caused by tire replacement. They kept saying it’s the cold weather, but cold weather doesn’t cause the pressure to drop this much and it doesn’t only affect the front tires. The manager was extremely condescending and kept telling me that tires get flat when it’s cold. Worse, not only did they not fix the problem, they charged me again to replace the valve stem on one of the tires. That can’t be the issue, both tires are leaking and this was never a problem until I brought my car here.

Long story short: Do not get your state inspection done at Sullivan Tire, especially if you’re a woman. Go to Mass Inspection Inc in Somerville instead—it took 15 minutes and my vehicle passed without issue. I attempted to get my state inspection done here on a Saturday. They said it was first come first serve, and that the wait would be about 1-1.5 hours. The first issue was that it took them 3 hours to complete the inspection, of which they failed me for windshield wipers. There were no issues with my wipers and the washer fluid was full; they did not provide further explanation about this. Between my first and second attempt to pass inspection at this location I got some maintenance done on my vehicle. To ensure the computer would be ready for inspection I drove over 200 miles with 7 warm up cycles, which based on forums should be enough for modern VW vehicles. The second time, I went for inspection on a Friday. It again took them 3 hours to call me to let me know that they could not complete the inspection because the computer was not ready. After driving another 200 miles I returned a third time for inspection. I was immediately told that my emergency brake was not working, and that I should get a brake inspection for $50 and they could fix the issue. This did not add up as 1) This issue was not flagged at my prior 2 inspections 2) I park in beacon hill and use the e-brake daily and know it works 3) A brake inspection is a simple task that takes about 2 minutes and does not require special equipment. DO NOT pay $50 for this. It is clear that this location is trying to make money on people they think do not know the first thing about cars. The woman at the front desk told me the vehicle would fail inspection anywhere I go—which turned out not to be true because the same afternoon I went to another inspection site and my vehicle passed without issue. To make this issue worse, the woman at the front desk was extremely rude and would not give me straightforward answers to my questions about the inspection process. She also temporarily lost my vehicle registration—not sure if this was to prevent me from going elsewhere or because of the severe disorganization at this location.

Made a 9am appointment for tire replacement and state inspection. Was assured by front desk that it would be done well before the end of the day. Fast forward to right before closing time and they finally start working on my car. After waiting over a half hour where I was barely acknowledged by anyone, I finally got told my car failed the inspection due to exhaust issues, and was only given an impatient “The exhaust is leaking!” by a mechanic when I tried asking for details. No estimate for repairs, no explanation of the root causes, just making me wait literally all day and pushing me out as quickly as possible. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

My tire was really low and pulled into Sullivan's Tires. I checked my tire and I found a nail in it. When I walked in Sheina greeted me with kindness and I told her what was going on. She consulted with Angie who was working next to her and they informed me they would have someone take a look at my tire today and take of it for me and they did. My tire was fixed in a few hours and I was back on the road. Angie and Sheina were professional, empathic and friendly. I will definitely return for service. I got my inspection sticker today. The young woman at the ground desk was so nice. It took less than an hour even though I was 3rd in line. The reception area and restroom extremely clean. The receptionist even gave me a discount without my having to ask.

Since I’ve moved to Boston, I have ran into a slew of car troubles (tires popping, alignment issues or your normal routine oil change), however, time and time again I have always gone to this specific Sullivan Tire location because of the great service they provide. Mel and Gave are the best! Mel is the reason I keep coming back. She is quite literally the definition of a calm, sweet, helpful and the best customer service that I have had the pleasure of receiving. I would love to see her manage a location on her own because I just know that so many customers come to this location because of her. She creates such a welcoming environment and when someone asks where I go to get my car serviced I say Sullivan Tire in Somerville. If she leaves I will leave, she has my devoted loyalty!!

Really great experience. Usually anything to do with the car is just dreadful, but they were truly pleasant to deal with. I had a tire blowout and needed it replaced. They let me drop off the wheel and had the tire on when I came to pick it up. They even carried the flat tire out of my car and into the store when I dropped it off and of course put the new one on when I came to pick it up. They were helpful, honest, and friendly. The price was $50 less than at the dealer. They are easy to reach on the phone, and their waiting room is by far the cleanest and best air-conditioned I’ve experienced at a car place. Highly recommend.

Great customer service . It's a medium size chain, but still had the "invested employees "feeling . I had to do a purchase / return, over couple days. Employees made it a painless process. They only do standard repairs no unusual stuff. They are busy. Appts are 2-5 days out

Dropped my car off for a simple inspection and they said it would be done within a hour and they would call me. Three hours later and radio silence, so I dropped by. Said it would be done shortly and I proceeded to wait for another hour. Took four hours for a simple inspection, with no communication or sense of urgency. Can’t vouch for their other services but would not recommend for an inspection

Outside of supplying and installing and aligning the new tires for free, an impossibility!, there is nothing that could have made my experience better! Every person I came into contact with was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. That a service was provided to get me home and back when the work was scheduled within a few hours window was icing on the cake. Made an appointment for 8 am for wheel balancing, planned on waiting at the shop. Was told when I arrived that it would be a 2 hour wait. Went to work, called in the afternoon and was told car would be ready at 5. Called at 5 and was told car wouldn’t be ready until 6. Why make an appointment if it’s going to take 10 hours to do a service that shouldn’t take more than 45 minutes. If I wasn’t calling I wouldn’t have heard any updates on what was going on.
