First time customer. The place is nice and so are the people. I have been driving by T and A for years but never used them. My loss. The place is nice inside and does most auto repairs. I had a list of repairs from a dealership that they checked over. Turns out some were not needed. Also added a repair after they had already finished and that was not a problem.

I love this place so much! I moved to Sioux Falls all the way from Texas and was living on my own for the first time. I have never had to deal with car troubles on my own before. Worst experience ever. Took our vehicle 2015 Chevy Silverado in because the air was working well on the passanger side and on and off on the driver side. $458 billed. We picked it up it was doing the same thing. Called and Mark was extremely rude and said bring it back and it is probably the blend door acuator and that would be an additional $980. We took it to another mechanic who hooked it up to his computer and the code read blend door actuator. I advised Mark of this and he said we don't hook them up to read codes!! WHAT??? It was fixed elsewhere for less than half what T& A quoted us. Stay away! If I could give zero stars I would. In addition when we disputed the charge Mark called to threaten us. How are they in business??? And Now Mark says we threatened him - too bad we have the voicemail to prove who threatened who. I have never written a review or threatened anyone in my life. I came here to look to see if we were the only ones but it appears there are more out there you have done this to. DO your research before choosing a shop based on length of time in business. Clearly this has not been owned and operated by Mark for too long because treating customers this way you wont last long. In addition Mark - Word of mouth goes a long way. Also you can't dispute the picture of the code from a reliable non scamming mechanic which you clearly are not. I hope you change your tactics when customers call and give you an opportunity to make it right rather than becoming defensive and accusatory.

As a mail carrier, I’ve had to repair my vehicle more often than most with the constant abuse. There are a lot of decent auto shops in the area, but Mark and his team go above and beyond and stand out above the rest. I’ve been seeing Mark for a few years now and am a customer for life. I needed an oil change and some general work done on my SUV. My husband usually does the work himself, but he's just been too busy. I was referred to T and A by a coworker. Deb was very friendly and got me connected with her husband Mark right away to explain what I wanted looked at. They understood I just wanted to know what was wrong with my truck and get some estimates and didn't want to be charged an arm and a leg to do so like another shop wanted. Mark was even able to get me in the next day. They were so reasonable we ended up having them fix more than I originally intended on. To me that says a lot knowing my husband can do most of the work himself, but they were honest and fair which was worth my husband's time to me. I was even more please to find out Joel was the tech there. He has worked on my vehicles in the past. I know it's getting done right with him so that was a bonus as well. They were able to get all the work done while I was at work. I will definitely be back. Thanks guys!

My daughter was getting her license this previous July and I had plans on giving her my old impala for a car. So I had a friend follow me to their shop to have it inspected. When I brought the car he advised me they were backed up and it will be awhile for them to look at it. well it took about 2 weeks. The service manager called me and told me it would need new spark plugs and that it would be around 100.00 for the inspection. I told him fine and that I wanted to speak with the mother of my kid, since she lives with me her mother was going to handle the repairs. I talked to her mother and she stated to me her nephew could handle that repair. I told them this in the shop. My car had been sitting there for about a week after the inspection. I wasn't able to go get it during the day because my daycare provider was out of town for 2 weeks so I had my 2 year and 4 year old daughter during the day. He called me on a Wednesday and I missed the call. I went there Friday to get my car and to pay the bill of 100 something plus tax and he then informed me that my car had been towed because they had parked it on the street! Keep in mind he called me 2 days before this and failed to leave a voicemail, text anything stating that my car had been towed by the city. I pay to get my car out which came to around 460 dollars. I made them aware that I believed they should pay for the tow since they had my key and the car was left in their care and no one informed me that my car had been towed. They became rude took no accountability and blamed me. I filed a suit in small claims court and we had a court date. I looked forward to making my case in court especially after the lies that was told in their statement after I filed the case such as "my phone was of" (but he called me two days before I paid for my car) or I told him "I didn't have the money to the inspection" (but I paid the 100 for the inspection and 460 to get my car out of impound) he also stated the car wasn't drivable but I drove it there and from the tow lot! I'm currently in college at SDSU and the date of the court date is the day I have to watch my children because their daycare provider who is their aunt, son has therapy for his autism on the date court was scheduled and with my school load, work load, kids it slipped my mind. But I would never recommend anyone to a dime with them. If they could lie and be unethical about the events that took place, what else would they lie and be unethical about? I'll end with this. You can lie to yourself and others but you can't lie to God.

Mark was great. They did what they said they'd do for the amount they quoted me. Can't beat that. *Update: I was just in again and they fixed my car for less than I thought it would be and it was done in less than an hour. They are really great and they really care about doing a fantastic job everytime. *Fresh Update: They got me in on short notice for front brakes and did an awesome job. They even gave me a ride home and picked me back up later so I wouldn't have to sit and wait. Great service!!!

My wife and I have been looking for a trusted mechanic shop in town for about four years. For the past year, we found ourselves in great hands here at T&A Auto. They have served us with oil changes, spark plug issues, brake issues, and they have also given us rides to work after we drop our vehicles off! Once they figure out what the issue is, they have always called and explained what is going on and a close estimate of the cost. I feel that they do not rush you into making decisions. They have always made sure that there is a agreement before going and fixing the issue. That is very much appreciated! Their work truly speaks volume! Our check engine light came on and we needed to be helped out in a pretty tight time frame. First thing in the morning we were able to come here and get our car looked at. They were kind and helpful, gave us a ride to get breakfast. The atmosphere of the lobby is clean and modern feeling. Quite honest and communicative guys. Definitely recommend!

I went in to have the trailer brake and running lights checked and mentioned a possible fuse issue, but I trusted their expertise. The next day, Mark called to let me know that the work was complete and everything was working properly. The turnaround was quick, which I appreciated. However, when I got the service bill, it was over $400, only to find out the issue was a $12 fuse. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that there were over two hours of diagnostic time billed at $140 per hour, just to identify the problem before replacing the fuse. It felt a bit excessive, considering the issue was a straightforward fuse. My expectation would be that a technician should check for the obvious, easy fix first, and then proceed with diagnostics if necessary. This approach could not only save time and cost but also improve customer satisfaction and increase revenue by getting more vehicles through the shop. Overall, while the work was done, the pricing and approach didn’t leave me feeling great about the experience.

Took our vehicle there for an estimate (that they required) and they charged me $100. They never mentioned the cost when I called either. Very disappointing and misleading, plus their estimate was much higher than the three other places I went for a FREE estimate. I will never do business with them.

My ac needed a hose .The repair garage ordered the part and it came in wrong 3 times. So he ordered it from the car dealer it came in wrong 2 times. he gave up.
