Went in last week to get my engine checked. The worker there told me the problem and gave me a site to order the parts cheaper than if I were to order directly. I came back a week later with the parts, and he went right away to working, getting the job quickly and pointing out additional small fixes he then did himself. Really appreciate the transparency and quality of service! The price for labor was very reasonable as well.

The first time I took my Kia Sportage into T&K Auto, I knew there was something wrong with either a relay, a fan controller, or something related to temperature setting off my cooling fan in the middle of the night, or hours after my car had just been sitting in the driveway. Kevin called me the next day to let me know I'd need a new cooling fan kit assembly. He told me I could find a cheaper part if I wanted to order it myself, but I was very busy at the time so I told him to order a more expensive part. I also left 8 quarts of expensive coolant in my trunk that I bought from the Kia dealership and asked him to use to flush out the coolant. I picked up the car, knew I'd pay a little more, but was surprised that he was charging me for coolant. I told him I left coolant in my trunk. He apologized and said he would remove the charge and I said okay, I'll give you the coolant then. I walked back to my car and searched for the coolant. It was gone! Kevin was behind me asking for his gifted-coolant and I told him it was gone. He acted surprised and said, "I promise I didn't use it." So... I suppose he used it on someone else's Kia? The check engine light came back on a few weeks later. Against my better judgment, I called Kevin to see if there might be some warranty or discount if it's the same problem. He said let's see what the problem is. I brought it back in and this time it took forever to get my car back. He said it was the thermostat (something a cheaper mechanic had already replaced) and again I paid. A few weeks went by and... the check engine light is back on. The cooling fan runs randomly in the middle of the night, or after hours of just sitting in the driveway. I'm out over $1,300 and $300 worth of coolant with nothing to show for it but maybe a dead battery in the morning.
