Went to get it inspected , and Richard the owner said I failed because of a ball joint . I brought the car to two other mechanics and they could not find any problem with ball joints . So returned to tech auto and asked for a estimate to fix ball joint to pass inspection he gave me a $356.61 estimate, I told him I already got it inspection and he was a dishonest thief and I would be going to BB bureau . He's dishonest and takes advantage of people . Do not go there !!!!!!

I went there for 25 years and was very pleased until a couple of years ago. There are fewer people in the shop, the quality of the work has slipped a notch, and I get the feeling they're trying to gin up work. Worst was earlier this week, when I went in about a check engine light and an oil change. They charged me $50 bucks to get the code (which they never wrote down on the bill), wanted to keep the car ALL DAY to check the VVT (which should take about an hour), and then told me the oil was "crummy" (which was interesting since the car was barely due for a change *and* they were the ones who'd changed it back in September)...and all this was *after* Richard had finished a phone call and then started yelling at me about the election and how "people like me" would have to "bow down" to the winner and get in line. I hadn't said a single word to him and was trying to read the paper, so where this came from I have no idea. No way I'm going back after that.

At one time, this was a respectable place to bring your car to have work done on it, but that's when the father ran the business. 2 TIMES I was blown off, I had an appointment on Thursday morning first thing to have work performed on my vehicle (coming from Deerfield Mass.) he messed up scheduling and couldn't do it while I waited. So we rescheduled my appointment for Monday morning first thing. I got there nice and early (6:30) so my vehicle would be cool enough for him to work on it.. Now after speaking on Thursday when I told him that I needed to wait (never telling me at this time, when rescheduling that I couldn't wait) I went in to check in and he told me I couldn't wait in his waiting room ,(ONCE AGAIN, never telling me at this time AFTER rescheduling, AFTER talking about me waiting Monday while my vehicle was being worked on and NEVER mentioning that I couldn't wait????) He asked if I could take a walk, it's December, raining and I'm 60 years old... That will be the last time I ever bring back my vehicle to TECH AUTO SERVICE INC. PAGE BLVD. SPRINGFIELD MASS.. Lie to me once, you are deemed untruthful.... SO I don't recommend this business... And at one time I was a customer!!!....
