We all know it is difficult to trust mechanics, especially if you're a female or don't know much about cars. I’ve been looking for an honest auto mechanic shop in Las Vegas for years. I finally found one, TARauto!!! I needed my 60k mile check up and knew that I needed brakes. The dealer quoted me some outrageous amount of $600 for the 60k mile check up alone. The wonderful folks at TAR, did the 60k mile service, replaced 2 rotors and all 4 brake pads, and all my filters for waaay less than what the dealer quoted me for just the 60k service. WOW!!! I almost cried and gave them all BIG hugs! They were all so nice, friendly, professional, and did all the repairs in less 2 hours. I even waited and chatted with Mom and Dad instead of leaving my car and going home to wait. I HIGHLY recommend TARauto for all your auto repair needs! I’m one happy customer! My 2011 Camaro has been smelling like gas for a while, always hesitant to take it someplace to have check it out, in fear of being taken and told things that don’t apply…My friend recommended TAR Auto, she said Ted is very honest and knowledgeable, needless to say she was right, him and his wife Rayna are great, they made me feel very comfortable and at ease. He pinpointed the problem and it was fixed in a day. I now found a mechanic that I can trust!

I can say from start to finish this was a great experience. Marios picked up my car did my oil change and brought it right back. He was very polite and professional. He didn't try and upsell me he did explain that there were a few things that needed to be addressed but never once pressured me to get them done right then and there like I've had with other companies in the past. My boss was so impressed she had him pick her car up the same day and with the same respect and professionalism I received she did also. Amazing place they now have a customer for life!!!

Car was making funky noises, and not operating as smoothly as it should. Took it down to the shop. They discovered the issue extremely quickly! They gave me a very reasonable price (and way lower of a price than I expected), ordered the part right away, and had my car fixed within a blink of an eye! It’s also a bonus that everyone in the shop was extremely friendly, and welcoming. I can honestly say I’ll never be going to any other mechanic shop every again! 😃

I’ve been bringing my cars here for at least 8 years now, and I will never go to another mechanic shop again. They actually show you what’s wrong with the car, they show you the part that is broken or has an issue and explains exactly what they are going to do to fix it. They are transparent and will never try and squeeze any change out of your wallet. They are fair on pricing and the job they do is only overshadowed by the amazing customer service. Ted, his wife, and his son are great people and their mechanics are hard working and do a high quality job and they never take too long. If they tell you when the car will be done, it’s almost guaranteed to be done at that time. Thanks for all the work you guys have done at TAR and I will see you next time!

Came here by myself after i noticed what i thought was leaking black fluid from my car and this place had great reviews. Everybody seemed friendly and nice, they told me it was an issue with my oil pan and it needed to be replaced , cost around $1200 and i would need to leave my car for about two days. I got a second opinion for a different mechanic and he told me that my oil pan was fine. I mention how i went here and was advised it was leaky oil pano and that mechanic took time out to show what my car looked like underneath, educated me different parts in my car and showed my oil pan was and the leak was from the mission . He was able to seal the leak and only charged me $120 and and my cars been running fine ever sense.

Mario and Ted were absolutely fabulous! And Mom was just a joy to chat with. They were all friendly, professional, and repairs were completed in under 2 hours! I had the 60k mile service done, both front rotors and all brake pads replaced, and my cabin filter replaced. ALL repairs were done for UNDER what the Toyota dealer quoted me for the 60k mike service alone! WOW is all I can say!! Honest, reasonable and fair pricing, and it was all done in less than 2 hours!!! Absolutely unheard of in Las Vegas!! All their work is guaranteed too! I am extremely satisfied with the service I received on my vehicle today. I will be bringing my vehicle here from now on and referring TAR Auto Repair to all my family and friends. Finally, an honest mechanic! Two thumbs up and five sparkling stars for this family owned business!!!

Don't get blinded by the Reviews! I brought my car here coz my Splash Shield was hanging down. He charged me $40 for them to screw it back outside the Shop, they didn't even check if there is something wrong with it and they did not even bother to do a tire check on my Vehicle. I mean $40 for all of that? While for other Auto shop around the Area, that would be free for courtesy. What a shame! will never even bother coming back from this place!

Ted and Rayna, the Owners of this family owned business, are absolutely amazing, caring, and SUPER accommodating! Their pricing for labor and parts is respectably fair and their mechanics work hard and efficiently, too! Took my car in for repairs and they quoted $700 for light sensor. We explained we have a warranty and to see if the warranty covers this. He then says every day the car is in the shop it’s $60 storage fee. When we said we would pick it up then he said that it’s $120 for diagnosis and they don’t work for free. Very rude. I explained it made no sense to charge for a diagnosis when we never were told that and we are trying to get the car repaired but he is the one refusing to do the repairs I think the warranty would cover actual repairs we have a platinum policy, but with storage fees it would not make sense to leave the car there while they try to file a claim for warranty. Additionally, no paper in states ANY mention of diagnosis or storage fees so buyer beware. Prices are made up depending on if they’re planning to work on the car.

I found this place by mistake, a good one. I was referred to another automotive place close to TAR by Ford down the street. I looked at the reviews of the recommended place and was not impressed. TAR came up in the area, and had some very good to great reviews. I read them all and decided to give TAR a shot - solely based on their reviews. I am glad I did! First and foremost, this is a family owned business and you will be able to find the husband and wife there 99% of the time. I met the couple and they were very friendly, and made you feel like they truly cared for your business. I will not go into detail, and to make a long story short, they saved me over 50% of what I was quoted at another repair shop. They also did not try to oversell me, or pressure me into taking their bid. The repair was pretty major and took them a fraction of the time I was quoted elsewhere. I was so impressed by their job that I brought in my other vehicle that needed some minor repairs. They did let me know that I may want to add some other services this time, but did not pressure me into doing so. With the huge savings I had again with this repair, I opted to do the suggested repairs in addition to what I needed done. I met one of their main mechanics, and you can tell he has years of experience behind him, and cares for what he works on. Both of my vehicles have high mileages, and I am glad these guys worked on them. All of my vehicle business will be at TAR. I highly recommend these guys and would use them in a heartbeat.

We were passing through Vegas when we had an issue. Thankfully, we found this shop to be capable and knowledgeable with our 1989 Chevy. Ted and his team were able track down all applicable hard-to-find parts and get us on the road within a few days, just in time to make it to a family reunion. We are so appreciative of their honesty and care. Being a customer here was a pleasant experience and I would be a loyal one if I didn’t live in Phoenix. Two paws up for Gunnar too! :-) Thank you!!!
