I couldn’t be happier with the service I received! I came in to get my sway bar links replaced, and not only was the work done flawlessly, but the customer service was top-notch from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They made sure to explain everything clearly and kept me informed throughout the process. What really stood out was their efficiency. My car was ready much sooner than I expected, and the quality of the work was impeccable. No one likes an unexpected auto breakdown especially on a holiday. Mine happened on Labor Day but I happened to be near Temstad Auto Repair, the mechanic there said he could help me and he did without hesitation. I found the mechanic friendly and knowledgeable, he went ahead and fixed my problem. There was no feeling that I was being taken advantage of and everything was above board. I reccomend Temstad without reservation.

If you don’t know already, this is one of the oldest automotive families repair shop in Rochester —— talk about down to earth and a Owner willing to back up Every repair this is the place you wanna be—— If you know anything about GMC, they’re not the easiest things to work on. I had two rear berrings — 2 rotors and pads replaced on all wheel drive repairs were done on the same day with no problems — As a matter of fact, if it’s too Heavy on the wallet right away, they can even show you Possible payment plans So you can get your car fixed right away everybody’s paid for and you just make your payments. I got to know Ken and his wife Julie quite well during a rather difficult purchase of a car for my son. I actually had taken his old car into their shop for an oil, change and inspection, and noticed a used car they had on the lot for sale. We had been looking casually for a different car for him, and this one kind of fell in our lap. When I say that Ken went above and beyond to make the sale happen, that is the understatement of the century! He has been so kind and caring, every step of the way, and gave us an incredible deal. They took over the shop only two years ago, and will have customers in us for life. I cannot recommend this shop enough, for even the simplest repair. They will treat you honestly and fairly. With all the big companies in this town, a family run garage that cares more for their customers than their bottom line is hard to find.

This place was AWESOME!!! If I could give ten stars I would! I came in because while I was changing my tire the night before the jack slid out from under my car and my brake rotor landed hard on the concrete. Next morning when I was parking at work I heard my tire on that side making a metal scraping noise while I was driving. This was super stressful because I already was having issues with the tires because I actually got them changed 3 weeks prior at another place and the reason I even had to change my tire is because I already had a flat!!! I walked in and Ken was super helpful. I was really anxious and he put me at ease because he clearly knew what he was doing. Not only that but he was upfront about what could happen if they did have to replace the brake rotor. He was also upfront about his diagnostic policy. I think the thing that stood out to me the most though was that Ken said he was glad I was okay since the jack fell. I thought that was really touching. While talking with Ken it was very clear to me he is very passionate about his business, customer service, and autocare. No nonsense and no jipping!!! He took my car for a test drive and he came back about 10 minutes later and told me that he think he fixed the issue and for me to do a test drive. I did a quick test drive and the noise was gone and the car felt good. I came back asking what the heck he did! He explained that there was a part that was covered in dust and when it heated up from the friction it was creating the noise, so he cleaned it up for me. I was expecting to pay the minimum diagnostic fee but since it was such a simple fix he waived the fee!!! I let him know my payment will be with some reviews! This was also amazing because I have been struggling a bit financially and I was already dreading having to buy new rotors when I got my breaks replaced a month or two ago. All in all it was such a wonderful experience and while I live in Webster, I am thinking that I may go again since I work on Monroe! Thats how awesome Ken was!

Julie & her husband Ken is so nice and super professional! I’m getting a couple of major things done and some minor things as well. My exhaust was the first thing I’ve had done and I’m scheduled to get my struts and breaks fixed a little later! I just want to start off with how much they are working with me to get these things done. I’m not rich at all and if I had a stable job I would have loved to take them up on there offer with the credit options. But luckily, they know how to prioritize what needs fixing and scheduled me out for when I’ll have the money to have those things fixed. Secondly, I want to point out how fast they got the job done! Julie had told me to bring it in so that they could diagnose the problem for me and that they could schedule me next week if I decided to get it fixed with them. Well, sure enough I bought it in on Friday morning, that same morning they were able to tell me what was wrong and the same day they ordered the parts and got it fixed! I literally got my car back at 3pm and genuinely did not expect that! I saw a sign in their shop and it said that they value their time, well I guess they also value everyone else’s time too! I don’t want to get into the free things that they did for me because I don’t want anyone trying to come rip these lovely people off, but I do want to say the things that they did for me, that they had every right to charge me for, has let me know that I’m dealing with some really good people and has made this place my go-to spot! These are good hard working people who respects the customers that comes through their shop, no matter if you have a lot of money or not! The prices are absolutely doable and they don’t pressure you if you can’t do everything right then in there! Lastly, I just want to point out that I am a single black woman and the reason I bring up my race and gender is because we all know it matters, especially when it comes to mechanics! But Temstad didn’t make me feel judged nor taking advantage of whatsoever! They were so welcoming and knowledgeable! Not only did they triple check my car but they explained every decision & priority to me. I really love that they weren’t condescending because I don’t know a thing about cars. They simply just explained it so I can understand the what and why! Like I said, as long as Temstad is open & will have me, they will now be my go to place!

Temstad has good availability on a daily basis to have your car looked at if you need something done on short notice. It’s a family business and they are super friendly with great customer service . They communicate very well on what is going on with your vehicle with transparency and will even give advice if necessary. To top it off they have a military discount which was much appreciated. I am for sure coming back for service and repairs
