I had my oil changed on 10/15 and I told the service man that my low engine oil light keeps coming on. He did the oil change and told me he topped off all the fluids and that light should not come on anymore...well it's still coming on! Not happy. I have been a customer for over 30 yrs and I am very disappointed

Took my Honda 2015 Fit for an oil change and to check on fluids and general check up. They did a great job. I still need to rotate my tires, but I’ll do that later.

Been coming here for years and the TAS team is always wonderful to deal with. Steve and his crew are incredible at what they do and communicate well through the repair process. The timeline for my recent repair was met although their area of Santa Ana was hit with a power outage the day my car was in. Stayed a little past close to meet their commitment to me.

The Auto Service helped me out in a courteous manner and did exactly what I asked of them while making suggestions based on their expertise. I will be going back to them to fulfill the recommended work on my car. Thank you guys!!

I went in for a prearranged oil change and received excellent service. I was in and out in under 25 minutes. I would also like to mention that two year’s ago I brought my truck to TAS for an engine overhaul. They went above and beyond to ensure my truck would run as smoothly as a new one. Two years later, my truck still runs exceptionally well. I highly recommend them for outstanding service.

Found The Auto Service via Google and saw all the positive recommendations. They are very communicative and had no issue with me saying no to some suggestions. I was able to drop off two of my cars and get them back same day. Extremely friendly people. Price is a little steep but quality work AND same day doesn’t have a price tag.

Edit* I the manager reached out and we came to a conclusion together. I got a balance with them to offset the increase in price. Unfortunate that in order to utilize it I need to return and ultimately pay 150% what I was expecting to pay but that is better than the 200% it would have been going back for the same rate. The owner, Steve, was out of the loop for my interactions at the shop. They did a great job aligning it and the car no longer vibrates at speed. So I will return to have my other car services. I am leaning towards this being a fluke on their part and not regular treatment. *End edit* The following is an outdated original post. I had a bad experience at an "experienced" shop. Long story short: I, a customer, had to fork out cash for an (ex) employees potential mistake. A near $200 quote became closer to $500. Long story long: I have a relatively odd car, a 1988 Toyota MR2. I rebuilt the entire suspension and needed an alignment. I swung by The Auto Service about a month and a half ago and asked if they worked on these cars. Front desk guy was not sure so asked two other guys, one of which confirmed my year and if it was lowered. It is not lowered. And they said yes they can do that. So the month and a half goes by as I get it all back together to make the trip to get it aligned. Drop it off and within an hour I get a call saying they did what they could but my camber is still positive. They insisted that I do not have camber adjustment, which I said I did. I sent them photos of the manual on how to adjust it, told them how to perform it over the phone, and also a photo of a spare part of it to adjust. They politely say oh okay and go back to work. I get yet another call saying that there is no way to adjust it and they have the bolt out in hand to show me. I come over in person and see they have the non adjusting bolt so I point out the eccentric spacer used for adjusting which takes the tech a couple minutes to understand. I was showing them a way to tap it with a chisel/flathead to adjust it with the wheel on (1 minute adjustment). I leave and get yet again another call saying that they checked their manual and showed this was a 3.5 hour operation instead of a 1 hour operation. And that they would only charge me 3.0 hrs of labor. This is where I saw an issue: 1. tell me one price and then end up doubling it by the end of the operation. 2. This is after they insisted me, the customer was wrong about my car 3. had me come in person to show them how to do it 4. apparently had a manual the entire time that could show them how to do it and also give me an accurate quote and not waste my time coming over. I was hoping to do car alignment and smog here for two of my vehicles; but this looks like my only visit to them. I do not want to see business models like this succeed where an employees error comes out of the customers pocket. Where a company's accountability is the responsibility of the customer. I do however appreciate their communication, and willingness to bring me into the shop for this instance.

Honest shop which is hard to find. I shopped around for a while looking for a place that could do clutch work for an automated manual Focus. I initially talked with the owner who was very friendly and reasonable with what they do and prices. It wasn't till around a month later that I took it in to get the work done. They did a good job with communication, honestly, and price.

ABOVE AND BEYOND LIKE ALWAYS! I will always only take my car here. You never have to worry about getting the best price, quality of work, thoroughness, or timing with company. They are FAST. They are REASONABLE. They are THOROUGH. Top tier AAA+. They are personable, practical, their customer service is out of the park blows everyone else out of the water. I always sleep soundly knowing my car is with them in the best hands in Orange County. They have never disappointed me, which is shocking for mechanics. I’ve taken my car here 3 times. My car has acquired many issues due to years of neglect from lack of funds and not being able to find a good mechanic that wasn’t trying to rip me off becuz I’m a tiny woman. I don’t have to worry about that now, as their pricing is fair, low, and their work is guaranteed by AAA. They’re customers they treat like family. Always on the up and up. I have taken my car to them 3 times for a thermostat replacement, water pump I think, battery cable replacement, BRAKES, oil change, and now to get my AC compressor fixed. Each time was the best experience. They have the NICEST waiting room complete with chocolate and ice cold water and cushy couches. I am obsessed with this place. The owner, the rest of the staff go above and beyond and truly care about their customers. They are mechanic gods in My eyes. Love you guys!! They literally cure all anxiety induced by car issues. They are a dream. My name is Sabrina but I’m signed into my dads account. We’re taking my parents cars to them next :)

Used this place years ago when it was Swedish Asian Auto Service when I lived in Orange County (now live in LA). When I ran in to a difficult issue that many other shops were afraid to take on my almost 20 year old Acura TSX, a good friend who was also a long time customer before he moved out of state suggested I give Steve and the team at The Auto Service a call. It was great to see them still in business! I talked to Steve and he said they'd be happy to have a look. Walter and the rest of the team were prompt at diagnosing the issue and then sourcing a rebuilder that could handle the transmission. Once they got it back they quickly went to work replacing it. He also was quick to contact me when we ran in to another unexpected issue with the clutch. Extremely satisfied with The Auto Service and may even start bringing my daily driver for repairs and maintenance in once it is out of warranty. 100% would recommend!

I researched thru Google for a independent auto repair shop to service what I thought was a issue with my 2012 Subaru Outback transmission. I found TAS, The Auto Service with recent 5 star reviews. In business for 40+ years, a authorized AAA repair shop which tells me I would get high quality honest repair for the money I would be spending. I called to set an appointment, I spoke to the service mgr, John, who was very pleasant. I was informed of the progress of the work being done by Glenn on my car as I waited. No problems with my transmission, it was my rear brakes. Very surprised by the customer lounge with Wi-Fi access, bring your tablet/laptop. Most definitely felt treated like family. Yes, John did say to me, we like to treat you like family.

Everyone is friendly. Just felt my part was too expensive and just getting a new starter was $694.49. They were very quick getting my car fixed and I was happy with everything except the price of the part and I was charged 475 for labor? I was told by a few people that the labor rate and how many hours it took....there was no mention of that on my receipt. So the starter was 272.73 and labor was 475.00 ...694.69 total. I had to borrow money to pay this. I'm a single retired woman, it going to take me awhile to pay this back.

Fast service and reliable mechanics, they guarantee their work, I took my car here after a couple of mechanics had already worked on it and the problem kept happening, these guys nailed it at one time, John is super knowledgeable and really nice he will tell you what you need and also what you don't need so no needs of extra money to be spent. I've been here twice and both times drove away happily. They'll also check with days later to make sure the problem is fixed. Definitely recommended and will come back to TAS.

I ran into a big piece of plywood on the freeway and it put a hole in my radiator and my AC compressor. I had to call a tow truck, and AAA recommended The Auto Service. I have to say, they did an excellent job of getting my car fixed and tested. And they were quick! Thank you to The Auto Service for doing such a great job!

Worked with Glenn on an ongoing electrical problem. They diagnosed the problem quickly and had the the car back on the road the next day. My 20 year old Lexus GS 300 had not needed any major repairs for quite some time, so, I was a little shocked with the cost of the repair. However, I'm shocked every time I go to the grocery store! Just the times we live in. Most importantly, the car runs 👍 great and Glenn and his associates were terrific.

Best mechanic I have ever had. Superb customer service. Glen is so helpful and professional. I feel so blessed to have met him! Facility is clean and elegant, rare find for sure. They are AAA certified. Took a car here for a PPI but will definitely be back for future needs despite the fact that I live far!

Super happy I was able to find this shop! As a women a lot of auto repair shops really want to pull a fast one on you even if you’re super knowledgeable about what is wrong with your car. I had a coolant leak coming from my water pump and first shop I went to Discount Tires really wanted over charge me to have my water pump fixed. Discount Tires wanted to charge me 1300 and Auto service charged me 750 (which is the correct price range for my care, labor, and parts). Discount tires also lied to me about what needed to be done to my car. The auto service priced me fairly and took care of issues the first ship didn’t notice. Auto services even proved a pick up and drop off service while working on my car. Which saved me from having to get a uber. The work on my car was done quickly. I was really happy with my services at this shop and will be going back again if I need anything in the future.
