I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Thoroughbred Nissan in Tucson, AZ, specifically in my interactions with Eleazar Armenta. I brought my vehicle in for recall repairs and requested a tire rotation at the same time. When I dropped my vehicle off, there were absolutely no abnormal noises. Within four minutes of leaving the dealership after pickup, a very loud and noticeable noise began coming from the left side of the vehicle — a noise that was not present prior to service. I immediately contacted the dealership and returned as instructed. I reasonably assumed the tires would be rechecked and reset. Instead, the vehicle was only test driven, and I was told it was likely wheel bearings. I was repeatedly informed that it was “impossible” for anything to go wrong during a tire rotation. I was then told I would need to pay $190 for a diagnostic inspection to confirm whether the wheel bearings were failing. For context: wheel bearings do not suddenly fail within a three-hour window with zero prior symptoms. The timing alone made that explanation highly questionable. I requested that the tires simply be rotated back to their original positions to properly rule out the most recent variable — the rotation. Once the tires were returned to their original positions, I drove the vehicle and the noise was completely gone. Not reduced. Not improved. Gone. To ensure objectivity, I also had the vehicle independently evaluated afterward. There are zero issues with my vehicle. No wheel bearing failure. No mechanical defects. Despite this clear resolution, accountability was never taken. Instead, the explanation continued to shift back to wheel bearings, even though the noise disappeared after reversing the rotation. I was repeatedly told the situation was “impossible,” rather than receiving a straightforward acknowledgment that something may have been missed during service. What makes this even more disappointing is that I had recently spoken with a salesman, David, and was actively considering purchasing a second vehicle from this dealership. After this experience, I will not be moving forward with that purchase or doing further business here. Mistakes happen in any service environment. What damages customer trust is not the mistake — it is the refusal to acknowledge it, combined with attempting to charge a customer $190 for a problem that was created and then resolved in-house. I have a recorded phone conversation in which I was told multiple times that a tire rotation could not cause this issue. If dealership management would like to review that recording, I am more than willing to provide it. I expected a higher standard of professionalism, accountability, and customer care.

They apologized for not having a car wash (the car really needed a wash) but the did clean the bugs off the windshield and vacuum the sand and pebbles out.
