The employees throw things at moving cars, and whoever answers the phone at the business says it’s okay because the driver apparently deserved it? Weird public relationship strategy.

While I was driving down Sante Fe I witnessed three employees walking down the middle of the road, with no signage or reflective vests to indicate what they were doing. Just ahead of me I saw one of them throwing some large black object at another car and yelling. I was in the right lane and had to suddenly veer across the left all the way into the turn lane because the employees were standing in the middle of both lanes, only for a large truck to back into the road with no warning. I only narrowly avoided hitting anything. I contacted the business afterwards to inform them how the employees endangered me, and even more so endangered the driver of the car they had thrown something at. The woman on the phone, claiming to be the owner of the business claimed that both of us had been speeding and her workers were not at fault. I certainly was not speeding. I directly asked her "Do you think it's acceptable that one of your workers threw something at a moving car?" She claimed the other car had nearly hit that employee and claimed that made what he did ok. She disregarded the fact that her workers had created a road hazard by standing in the middle of the road with nothing warning oncoming drivers to stop or move over. Needless to say, the total disregard for public safety and lack of professionalism this business demonstrated today was shocking.

Drove by this business today and 3 employees walked out into the street without signage or cones to allegedly block the road for a truck to pull out. The cars behind and I had to swerve to miss them. As I passed one of the men in black threw an object at my car causing me to swerve again. When I called this business to ask if it was their employee, I was berated by an extremely unprofessional woman who began cussing and yelling that I almost hit her guys.. She refused to give me her name and threatened that I could go there and talk to her to her face. She refused to let me speak with or even know the name of her herself, her owner/manager. This turned into a screaming match in which she then threatened that the manager would be "giving it to me harder than she is." I was shocked by not only the event of my car being hit while driving but the response I received from this business when calling to report unsafe practices. Police report has been filed. In Colorado, throwing objects at vehicles in traffic is considered a criminal offense under Colorado Revised Statutes Title 18, Section 18-9-116, which defines it as "throwing missiles at vehicles" and can range from a civil infraction to a class 2 misdemeanor depending on the circumstances, particularly if a bicyclist is targeted; essentially, knowingly throwing any object at a vehicle or a bicyclist is illegal. Key points about throwing objects in traffic in Colorado: Offense level: Throwing an object at a vehicle, other than a bicycle, is generally considered a civil infraction. Throwing at a bicyclist: Intentionally throwing an object at a bicyclist is considered a class 2 misdemeanor, a more serious offense. Legal term: The law refers to the act of throwing objects as "projecting a missile".
