Lawrence Phillips is the best part of this dealership and the only good part of my service visit from Friday, the 17th. Had a 10:00 appointment to get my passenger airbag recall fixed, arrived a few minutes early and got checked in with Glenn okay. LP came by, told me I was third in line and it would be a bit of a process- which I expected.
What I didn’t expect was to sit there until nearly 4pm & STILL leave without a fix for my car. Apparently, they had to order the part required to fix my car but besides LP, no one communicated with me and no one checked in with me at all. I went from 12:40 until 3ish without a single update, even after being told the person working on my car was going to speak with me.
Needless to say I was fuming when I left at 3:30, all for them to give me a hefty list of maintenance needed for my car (which I appreciate) and a “We ordered the part for your car, you’ll have to come back to do the actual repair”. Not sure if I’ll come back at all after my last experience. Not a great first impression from the service department.

After coming here for the first time for an oil change I would recommend driving to the next furthest Toyota service center no matter how far. I would even risk a jiffy lube if you don’t want to wait 6 hours. It took 20 minutes for someone to even come to my car to acknowledge me for a service then they stated that service had a 3 hour wait for an oil change (and this was with my appointment). I should have drove to clanton then but decided to wait. While waiting another man had to have his wife pick him up during her lunch break because he had already been waiting for 5 hours for his oil change. After 4 hours of waiting I decided to go up and ask about my car. The female that I spoke yo stated that my car had been ready for 1 hour. When I finally found my service adviser Jon he confirmed that my car had been ready and did not respond when I asked if anyone was gonna let me know.

I’ve been to Toyota dealers around America & this was hands down the worst experience. The advisor was not aware of my appointment, she didn’t know the model of my car despite it being entered into the online profile (or the fact that she can scan my VIN and it is written on the car in 6 places). The advisor didn’t know the recommend 100k service and informed me that certain things could not be checked during service, which is incorrect as the MPI was able to check for the things I asked for. She mentioned 2 times that she would pull up my previous maintenance history & never did until I asked for a 3rd time at checkout. Even then, she acted like she really couldn’t access them. I called the manager to discuss my experience & how I was overcharged according to the specials they had on their website. I never got a call back. I should have shopped around prior to going but I had too much trust in Toyota’s credibility. I would have saved $200+ going to another dealer in another town.

I scheduled a 9:15 am. appointment for a tune-up and to get my brakes check at Toyota of Montgomery. I arrived at the Toyota Service Center at 9:00 am. At 12:00 p.m., I asked the service representative, "How soon can I get my car?" He said there were three cars in front of mine. At 2:10 p.m., the service representative came to me and said your tune-up is complete, but it will take an additional one and a half hour to get the brakes cleaned. I did "NOT" get the brakes cleaned, It took five hours to get my car serviced. At 2:15, I departed the service center.
