DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!! VERY BAD SERVICE, INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES!!! I took my car here and they supposedly honor AAA discounts, which they refused to give me, and when I got my car back it was $300 more than they said it would be at the very most, and a bunch of things didn't work on my car! power windows, windshield wipers and rear defrost, also a few engine lights were on. When I called to tell them this, they told me to check the spark plugs! what a bunch of idiots! I had to take it to the dealership and have everything reset and tested, when the shop should have had me bring it back and fixed it! Overpriced, rip off, untrustworthy and dishonest work! Please don't go here and make the same mistake that I did! Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere that knows what they are doing!

Called for a price on a stall converter and was judged because I was a girl. I asked for a price of the converter and the guy on the phone couldn't give me an exact price and quoted double everyone in town then proceeds to tell me that he couldn't even get my car in for at least 3 weeks. I didn't ask for them to do the change just a price for the converter I need but he assumed and I needed him to do my work and didn't know what I was talking about because I was a girl. Definitely will not be calling them again.

The transmission went out on my 2009 Lexus so I had a friend replace it with a salvaged one. He didn't quite get it in right and it immediately went out again. Frustrated, I took it to Tony at Transmission Solutions. I heard from other mechanics that he was the best in town. This was right at the peak of his busiest time. It took a long time for him to get to my car but when he did, got it fixed in short order. He even replaced a coil that was shorting. And his price was right on target. I'm so thankful to have my car back again, working in fine order. Transmission Solutions is the only place for me for any transmission problems!

4 years ago I had them do a complete rebuild my 1988 chevy 700r4 trans, and to this day it still has not leaked! It shifts perfectly as the day they rebuilt it. I am very happy with the work they have done. It was well worth the price, I would highly recommend them.

My vehicle was having some mysterious issues so I brought it here and after a test drive found out my transmission didn't need service. Turned out to be an engine problem and though they couldn't diagnose it their advice still led me to getting an accurate diagnosis and repair. Their people have good vibes and are so honest that I will definitely be back whenever I do need transmission service. In my experience, honest mechanics like this are rare gems.

I am conflicted writing this review because initially we were thrilled with our experience but here is the story of our recent transaction…my wife and I were expecting twins in December so we bought a 2018 Ford Expedition. Well 3 months into ownership we started experiencing major transmission issues, about 75k miles on the rig. Being that we were expecting and the due date was rapidly approaching we were freaking out a little bit. We had an appt with the ford dealer but we couldn’t get in until after the due date, that wasn’t going to work obviously. We called Tony and he said to bring it by. He quickly diagnosed the issue to be more than likely a failing valve body which had been a common issue in these models. He said they would order the part and service the vehicle in about a weeks time. We were thrilled! What a relief that was and Tony was doing us a major favor with great customer service! So right after we get the vehicle back, my wife goes into the hospital with preterm labor. Luckily we have the vehicle now and we are told to drive it easy as it needs to relearn shift points and whatnot. The transmission was not shifting smoothly but it was somewhat better so we were giving it time. After a couple weeks, I drove it to OHSU for our daughters appt, I lost 10th gear for the whole trip and it was throwing codes on 5th and 7th while putting the vehicle in a low power state. I called Tony and he says bring it by…I finally am able to bring it by with everything else going on. He drives it while hooked up to a reader to see what codes are being issued. He notices the malfunction still and tells me he needs to call another guy and then we’ll come up with a game plan to fix the issue again. I agree, no problem. I’ve appreciated all the help up to this point. I don’t hear from the shop for a little over a week so I call and talked to a person for Tony to call me back. No call back. I called a few days later and left a voicemail. No response. I called another few days later and talked to Tony. He didn’t really remember our situation which I can somewhat understand so I remind him and he says oh yes, let me look at my notes and call you back. I agree and still have not heard back and it’s been weeks. So at this point, I’m way too busy with newborns to track them down and resolve this issue. The transmission problems have gotten worse again since service, we are out $1460 dollars they charged us and we are unable to drive the vehicle until our next appt at the dealer in 2 more weeks. So overall I’m extremely disappointed with the 2nd half of our experience, communication has been quite poor and I feel the customer service after transaction was completely ignored. I will not take another vehicle back here.

This place is the best. Got a referral from someone who KNOWS shops in town. Not only did they do a great job on the rebuild, they did it to spec on my particular car. Service afterward and question answer has been amazing. I'm sure their great for normal rides too, but my 400+hp build REALLY puts power to the tires now!

I stopped by today to see if there was anyone who could change my transmission oil. While they are booked out the front desk still went ahead to try to figure out useful information for me about my vehicle. I didn't catch her name, but she was extremely helpful. One of the mechanics, Tony, took the car for a spin and gave me his input on what he thought the issue was. I took his advice and got it changed and left with so much useful information. While the team is booked out they still took their time to go above and beyond to point me to the right direction of care needs for my car. I will definitely return to them in the future.

I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you want to wait 1.5 months for your appointment, just to be completely ignored. My appointment was scheduled in October for Wednesday, 12/11 and I was fine with the wait. 12/11 came around and I went on a test drive with the owner to explain what was going on. Before I left my appointment, he reassured me that he had all that he needed from me and the next step would be contacting another local company to get a diagnostic using their equipment and he would call me back by end of day on what he found/what the potential fix could be. He never called me back which I let slide because I knew they were busy. I called back the following Monday, 12/16 after no follow up and left a message with the front desk so that he would call me back. He never did. I called again on Wednesday, 12/18 and got to speak to the owner who went on the test drive with me. He admitted he didn’t remember my car’s issue right off the bat and assured me he would call me back in 30 minutes once he racked his brain on my car and our test drive results. He never called back. I called back the next day, Thursday 12/19 and spoke to the front desk and after putting me on hold, she said that they forgot to get what they needed from me on the first test drive and I would need to come back in (no apologies were given). Slightly annoyed, I wanted to give them another try and took my car in again for another test drive the following Monday, 12/23. He took my car on a test drive again, explicitly looked me in the eyes and promised me AGAIN he had what he needed from my car and would call me back no matter what, by the end of the day, on what they could do to help me with this issue. He never called me back. It was the holiday weekend so I decided to give them some grace. I called on Monday, 12/30 to follow up but couldn’t get through for some reason and I assumed they were closed. I called back on Thursday, 1/2 and spoke with the man at the desk who said he would pass along my message to the owner for a call back. He never called back. I called in as a last ditch effort today, Monday 1/6 to see if they could finally give me the answers they promised. I spoke with the owner and he said that he doesn’t remember so I would need to come back in for another test drive (with no apologies). This was a huge waste of my time as I don’t even live in Eugene but I trusted them enough to provide me with the service I was repeatedly promised, in person and over the phone. Therefore, I unfortunately, could never recommend someone come here if they are serious about getting help with their car and appreciate an honest business who is good on their word.

Penny, Tony, Stefan and the rest of the crew are genuinely great people. My family had transmission issues while traveling through Eugene. They did an excellent job of getting us fixed up and back on the road. But, that’s not all they did! We felt welcomed like family. Penny has a kind warm personality that relaxed our entire crew. Tony went over the top to make sure all the work was right and we were safe to get back on the road. Stefan worked quickly, confidently and did beyond what was asked. Was on a trip to Eugene to pick up supplies from the Coast. We were towing a 14 foot trailer and there was a loud bang and sounded like the transmission blew up! We called Transmission Solutions and said it was an emergency and the situation. The owner got us in and did a full inspection check on the trans and we found out it was the differential, and that we could get back to the Coast if we took it easy. But will need a new differential soon. This is the type of business, and people everyone should support.. Even though he was booked solid with at least 20 other vehicles the owner opened his doors in a dire emergency to help when no one else would. We called 2 other places before Transmission Solutions and they wouldn't give us the time of day! Thank you for your service and I will gladly support your business and tell everyone what outstanding business practices and people that you are..
