I've had a fantastic experience at UFC Gym, largely thanks to Daniel, the Assistant General Manager. From the moment I walked in, he was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Daniel took the time to understand my fitness goals and helped me create a plan that fit my needs and schedule. He's always available to answer questions and offer encouragement, and his passion for fitness is truly contagious. The gym is well-maintained, and the classes are top-notch, but it's Daniel's dedication to the members that really sets this place apart. I highly recommend checking out UFC Gym and working with Daniel – you won't be disappointed!

Extremely bad customer service. I joined the gym initially and paid for annual subscription, but i barely use the gym as half the times equipments are broken. Also they used to allow guests to come earlier for a sign up for trial for walk ins. They stopped that also recently and Nathan at reception was rude ..

I’ve been training at UFC Gym Sunnyvale for about 8 years. It’s a solid place to stay active and improve your skills. They also support the local community, like the backpack drive they’re doing now for students in need. Coach Michael Herrera leads strong martial arts classes. I’ve learned a lot through kickboxing and BJJ. What sets this gym apart is the access to a full fitness center. Most martial arts gyms don’t offer weights, cardio equipment, group classes, or clean showers and lockers. Having all of that in one place makes a difference. The youth BJJ program is another plus. It costs less than most BJJ gyms, and I can work out while my daughter is in class. That works well for our family.

This place is actually run by crooks lol. When I registered, there was a very clear "No registration fee" offer on the website, but when I asked about it they clearly made something up and mumbled about how it was expired, even though the expiration date was clearly on the offer. I would have argued more, but at this point I had already come in and asked to sign up and they proceeded to make me stand around and wait for 45 minutes before someone came to assist me. Mind you, half the staff is doing nothing but being on their phones at the front desk. Then, when I tried to cancel my membership (on the date which they told me to cancel) I was charged another membership due weeks after I had finished going to the gym. When I called to ask about it, they just danced around giving me an answer and instead gave me someone to email, who hasn't responded for over a week. Staff is unfriendly and it's like they don't want you to join, then when you join they pull the classic charge you extra move. 2 stars because the equipment is ample and fine. Don't sign up with them.

This gym facility is really nice. I would say one of the best in the Bay Area. Their front desk staff are usually nice and very courteous. But at times they don’t respond well. You need to really run behind them to get things done. That was my previous experience. But now during Covid era I see they improved a lot. They are making sure people are following all the Covid protocols and keeping their masks on (most important at least to me). You will all the gym facilities one can imagine. I see many body builders (all muscular man with six packs , very strong and fit girls ) around ☺️☺️ I strongly recommend this gym to friends and family and to everyone.

The gym has fine equipments but the issue is the sfaff. They do not honor the promos that are displayed on the website even if the promotion end date is of future. Also, they try to convince to take PT and when you do take it, its very disorganised.

I started private coaching with Coach Donovan to address a shoulder and left elbow injury. From the first session, I was impressed by his professionalism and focus. Our initial meeting was an in-depth discussion about my fitness goals, which made me feel confident in booking 12 sessions. Coach Donovan tailored workouts to my injuries, emphasizing proper form, body strengthening, and natural body tension. As a beginner, this approach was crucial to avoid further injuries. He’s highly knowledgeable about anatomy and designed exercises to help me build strength safely. I even noticed improvements in alignment after just one session! Post-workout, he provided supplement recommendations (the watermelon flavor is a game-changer when mixed with warm water) and discussed future plans for catered diets, recovery, and at-home workouts. I’m excited to continue learning and progressing with his guidance. Highly recommend Coach Donovan for anyone looking for professional and effective coaching! Shout out to Coach Aaron and Coach Benjamin (sorry if i forgot your name bro, but the guy with the sick hat and long hair)

This is one of the rare times I take time to leave a review again because I don’t want anyone else to make the mistake I did. I saw some reviews about how clients had hard time canceling their membership and I thought to myself that worst case scenario I can talk to my bank and make them stop it but apparently they make you an agreement that even AMEX couldn’t stop the reoccurring payments. I talked to the front desk about cancellation couple times and every time I asked, they had an excuse (you need to talk to a manager and he/she should be here in 30 min and when I check on them again “oh actually you missed him/her just now”, sorry manager isn’t in, etc.) and after couple tries one of them said it is not with management, I’m supposed to email someone. I couldn’t believe how long they dragged it just to say that but I was happy that it was finally over or I thought so… I never got response to my email too so I gave up trying to solve it with this place. However, it has been months (since April-May) I have been trying to solve it with my bank and they finally told me there is some kind of agreement they make us sign so bank is required to make payments behalf of me even though I changed my card number and everything. So please do not let this place scam you too and give you the headache of getting rid of their membership. IT IS NOT WORTH IT! Edit: Today is January 12, 2026. I got a message from debt agency saying I owe over $500 to UFC gym Sunnyvale. Apparently the same reason my bank wasn’t able to stop payments to the gym, I am being reported for having debt because my bank finally refunded me the money but they told me I made a contract with the gym. One thing I always avoid with gyms is making a commitment since I might move or may not like it so I am pretty sure I was told I could cancel whenever I want. Obviously, I didn’t read their contract when I was signing multiple different documents to start in this gym and verbally I was told something different than what they signed me up for. I don’t have the resources to fight them for $500 so I will have to pay but I’m really hoping anyone who reads this avoids signing up for this place.

Staff did not honor website promo, instead up-charging me $170 for trying to sign up in person. When I asked for this mistake to be remedied as I wasn't aware of the price discrepancy, no staff member (including managers) even tried to resolve it for me - instead, they handed me off to different staff member who seemed ambivalent to the situation. Don't get me wrong, it's a fine gym with a cheap membership, but the lack of customer service is unacceptable.

Terrible situation too many factions, from different managers, too many non-fitness people hired on as employees, that don't lift. I'm no longer a member and will not return after being a loyalist since the lockdowns. This gym was like family, then 2025 saw a lot of toxic day employees whom don't understand gym culture, loyalty and family so they drove away a lot of members who would champion UFC locally, word of mouth. It was good but growing up is realizing that family and camaraderie is in your memories and the new employees don't share that gym etiquette or honor relationships built over time.

I usually go to the gym around 6am during the weekdays. I like going here cause it’s not super crowded and it’s easy to use the equipment that you need. Bathrooms are usually always clean. Joey at the front desk is great.

UFC Sunnyvale is honestly the best. I've been attending off and on for about 3 years. Very regularly the past 9 months. I started attending when Coach Laotu was still teaching boxing skills and boxing conditioning. His welcoming and gentle approach to a very physical sport was exactly what I needed to build confidence. Being south paw, he essentially had to teach the combos twice and was always incredibly gracious about it. I began personal training with Coach Eric at the beginning of 2025 and it really brought my skills, confidence, and endurance to a new level. I can't recommend him enough. He's able to work with each client at their skill level and build towards their goals. His clients have a variety of goals and he works easily with everyone. The gym itself, the staff and new management, and the general vibe of the place is so very inclusive and supportive. All walks of life, all people, just doing their thing for their body and their goals. You won't find a better gym, nor a better community in South Bay.

Don't join this gym. They are predatory and you will never be able to cancel your membership! They count on misleading sales tactics and impossible cancellation process. Even when they tell you that your membership is cancelled they continue to charge you for months, and if you ask them about it, they will not refund you even though you cancelled. And the credit card company will not accept a dispute because UFC gym has some kind of deal with them. Don't get stuck in this BLACK HOLE!!! In the sales process they said they had parties to watch UFC fights on Saturdays and every time I came, they were closed with no sign, no notice, no party! AVOID, go somewhere else where they appreciate customers.

Daniel is the best assistant general manager. The gym stays clean and there's always good service. Unironically though, I go out of my way to go to this gym because the equipment always stays online, the promotions are always flowing, and the staff is incredibly kind

I went to UFC Sunnyvale for about a year on recommendation of a friend, and it was a great experience When I got the membership, I also caught a three-month trainer holiday promotion deal, since I knew I would have trouble getting myself to go consistently, and while I've been to the gym a bit before, I still wasn't the most familiar with how to make a routine, work towards any goals, or even use a lot of the non-machine equipment I was paired up with Coach Brian Kaho, and he was a great coach. My goal was mainly weight loss to help with some serious health issues I developed, but I also wanted to just have base strength, stamina, and endurance I didn't have before, whether for if I'm invited to do something athletic with friends, or just for day-to-day life Brian was great with working at me where I was at, while still helping me work towards my goals. He knew how to adapt the exercises and how to go about teaching me the core basics to be able to actually build up the skills I needed to do the exercises while also starting to build up the muscle to be able to actually do them Brian was incredibly motivating and encouraging as well, always hyping me up and pushing me to do more while still respecting fully when I did need to take breaks or modify an exercise. He also fully respected boundaries I had set, such as me not wanting to discuss dietary stuff and notwanting to take pre-workout due to my own health issues. He also always worked with me on helping us figure out my specific goals and checked-in wirh me on them I lost a significant amount of weight over the span of that year, which greatly improved multiple weight-related health issues of mine. That amount of improvement isn't something you can just buy outright I also gained some more muscle, which definitely has helped with day-to-day living, and I can't complain about how my fisque has changed from that too. But really, beyond health improvements, the biggest thing working with him helped with was building confidence, faniliarity, and comfortability with being at the gym. In the past, I've gone to the gym and learned a lot of different exercises, but I often would be overwhelmed and often not know how to structure a full workout for myself. Now, I can walk into any gym and make a workout routine for whatever muscle group I want to target, adapt it for the machines and free weights available, remember or figure out the exact body postion to do the exercises properly, figure out sets and reps, and determine weights would push me without hurting me, or modify if weights end up being too much The UFC gym in sunnyvale overall is generally a great vibe as well. I did some of the kickboxing classes, which were fun, but there were a lot of other classes I didn't have the time to try that definitely caught my eye. The equipment is always in good shape there as well, and staff has always been helpful with dealing with any issues like trainer session payment processing and such

Been coming here for about 10 years now. Love the fact that it is not too crowded. Joey is the most amazing employee and goes above and beyond to serve. I would suggest using text messages to inform members of changes in the regular schedule, rather than assume everyone is on Instagram daily. Don't like surprises at 5:00 AM.

I trained with Brian Kaho at this gym. He’s a level 5 trainer, and I rate him as very professional and great trainer. Always on-time, the workouts are very well planned, and have also helped me with body mobility pains by doing quick physios. I felt stronger month-by-month, and focus on back workouts have helped me do more pull ups which I’m not able to do before. I look forward to training with him more often.

Have been going to UFC since 2021 and have enjoyed my time here! They have little bit of everything you would need for your workout. They also have their Arm Bar which serves smoothies, drinks & food. Tracy recently made me a chocolate covered strawberry protein shake that tasted true to flavor! Keep a look out for some of their fun drinks! Recommend coming here if you are in the Sunnyvale area.
