I recently worked with Jake at Unique Auto in South Jordan to repair the bumper on my Tesla. While the repair itself was fine, the communication and overall experience were nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, they gave me an ETA of 2-3 weeks. However, late on a Friday afternoon (around 4 PM), I received a text saying my car was ready for pickup and that they were closing in two hours. To avoid being charged for an additional three days of rental car fees, I was forced to drop everything, cancel long-standing evening plans, and spend hours driving with my family to pick up the car. Once I arrived, I had to wait over 15+ minutes for someone to bring me my vehicle, and then deal with the hassle of returning the rental car after hours. The lack of consideration and poor communication made this an incredibly frustrating experience. I expected much better and would not recommend Unique Auto to anyone with option looking for a smooth and professional repair process.

If the only thing you care about is that your car is repaired properly, I’m sure they will make you happy in that sense. Outside of that, they have terrible communication and several employees I dealt with were very un-personable and acted as though my wife and I were just another number for their company. After a while of being easy-going with them, we stopped trying to be nice and matched their energy. Not to mention, every time I asked a question, it completely irritated the person over the phone AND they made it obvious they had to put in a lot of effort to help us, even though they were the most simple questions. Parking is always filled up front and they acted very bother I parked in the back when coming to pick up my wife’s vehicle. I don’t normally leave reviews, but since they are at a 4.7/5 stars, I’d figure I’d warn others on what to actually expect and change that rating a bit. Like everyone else, I value good customer support and charismatic people, which is something you won’t get much from here.

They are Subaru certified, which is why I came here, insurance is covering damages and the cost of repairs. They have an online ‘tracker’ that tells you when the car is dropped off, started, finished, and picked up that they don’t actually use. The car was here for 2 weeks and status never updated until the day it was done so you’re left in the dark while awaiting completion. When dropping off, they marked the damage with a green paint pen to confirm damages. When the car was done I was walked through the final inspection and told this was replaced and this was painted and these plastics were replaced, that wasn’t all true. One of the main pieces of damage on lower body plastics was still the same damaged pieces clearly and they attempted to wash the green paint pen off although there is still green paint. Seemed like a choice to leave the damaged piece with hopes it would go unnoticed perhaps. It is on the ‘final bill’ remove/replace rocker molding, and it wasn’t done. I no longer have a rental car and have to bring it back to take care of the additional damage and it’s frustrating and inconvenient.

Had to bring in my Mitsubishi mirage a couple times and these guys have the best communication and get everything done quick and on time. Even had 1 time one of the repairs wasn’t covered by my insurance but the repair guy was very nice to decrease the price a little for me. You will be in good hands with them.
