I'm a repeat offender... I've brought three different vehicles to ARS during the last few years for myriad issues. They've diagnosed properly, repaired what is necessary, have stood by their work when warrantied parts from dealerships have failed, and have always charged a reasonable price. Accurate, fair, affordable, and honest. Can't beat that today.

The folks at ARS are top notch quality people all around and in my opinion some of the best mechanics San Diego has to offer..... There's no BS with these guys. They tell you what's going on with your vehicle and then get under the hood right away to take care of it. On top of that they fully back all their repair warranties. Price wise they are also extremely competitive. If your looking for a great mechanic that will get the job done right the first time and wont charge you an arm and a leg the obvious ARS is for you. Vic Reyes and his crew are Superb mechanics, and can literally fix anything! They are the best diesel mechanics I've ever met. They have welding equipment too, and if you can't find the part then they can fabricate it or repair the old piece. If you go to their shop, in the front they have cars, but in the back they have tractors, Semi-Trucks, tractors, generators. They are also artistic, if you ask they will show you the art pieces that staff has made out of the discarded parts. Expertise like these mechanics have doesn't come cheap, but given how little time that they take to diagnose and repair, the end bill comes out less. Extraordinarily trustworthy. I unequivocally recommend them.

While sitting on the shoulder waiting for a AAA flatbed to show up, I Googled “the best auto repair in La Mesa”. Vic’s came in with 4.8 stars. Had the mighty Subaru dropped off at their door and talked to Danny about the possible causes of my dilemma. It was an expensive fix, but I thought they were completely fair. I understood the problem, knew my options, and went with the best fix available. The car is back on the road, runs great, and I’m a happy camper. Throughout the the repair cycle there was really good communication, and that is extremely important. I like these guys.

First off, I'd like to thank Vic and his team for being amazing. I work down the street and went to my vehicle that was parked across from their location and had two flat tires. My tires had been punctured. Vic and his team came to my rescue, they walked over an air tank, gave me a temporary plug in both my tires and helped my stress level go from 1000 to 1 in a few minutes. I highly recommend this business for all of your auto needs. Very trustworthy and accommodating!

I've lived a lot of different places in the U.S., & Vic's is consistently one of the best mechanic's experiences I've had. They treat people fairly, charge fair prices, & don't try to sell you on things you don't need. If Vic's says something needs to be done, it's only because it really needs to be done. As someone who works on their own vehicles, I can definitely respect a good shop experience. These guys got it going on! I had an issue with my alignment on my truck after having another shop install new parts, tires, and alignment, but I knew something was off. With Vic's new alignment machine, that was an easy fix.
