Don’t waste your day coming here. Brought my car in to have one tire replaced. After 2 hours of waiting I came back to check on the status of my car and found it sitting in the parking lot with no sign of work. Also the trunk was open. I also tried calling multiple times to check on the status of my car before showing up, but nobody would answer the phone. Take your car anywhere but here. I truly don’t think they know what they are doing. Homeboy seemed irritated that I took my keys and left. “So you don’t want any work done?!” Lol. Good luck to those that come here.

I've scheduled an appointment for the oil change on my Hyundai Tucson 2022. The check in was good. I was waiting for 40 minutes and didn't get a text about my oil change status, I came back to the counter and they told me they don't have a filter for my car! They just wasted my time!

This happened twice and dealt with same manager. Shame on me for giving them a second chance. Spent over 3 hours to get an oil change and install 4 tires. I was there at 9: 12 and had appt at noon for an alignment at firestone I did not make that appt. The gal working the register was great. The manager of the tire center was not helpful and made me feel like i was a big inconvenience for him even tho he wasn't doing anything. I do not recommend walmart tire in college park

I’m only giving a one star because it won’t allow me to give a zero or -20 star. This is the worst change experience I’ve ever had First, I had my appointment at 5 PM. I was there 15 minutes till five finally someone came out and let me know. I might be a little late. I did not know it would be 2 1/2 to 3 hour wait. And after paying and leaving and not even getting a thank you I discovered my entire front two fenders. My front part of the hood in my grill had grease all over them and I took pictures. Ridiculous. Take your vehicle any other place but the Walmart on 242 and I 45 to get your oil changed. You will thank me.

Glad I know better. Got a full synthetic oil change and their advice is to change the oil again in 3 months or 3000 miles. The agent says that this is right. Don't be fooled. I can more understand the 3000 miles, but certainly not 3 months. It won't hurt anything, but it is a total waste of your hard earned money. I don't get it, but he said this advice comes straight from a rap song..

First off, I ordered the tires online and the system makes you pay for the installation before being able to place the order. When I arrived for my appointment, the service department tried to tell me for an hour that I had to pay for installation and that I couldn’t pay for it online, even though the system needed me to install order to place the order. Second, when I arrived for the appointment for my tires, which I made 2 days in advance, the service members had no idea where my tires were and after 45 minutes past my appointment, they finally found them. Lastly, I went shopping as soon as they told me they had everything they needed and told me they would start working on it 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment. The shopping took about an hour and when I arrived and asked for an update on where the car was, the attendant explained to me that the person in charge of doing tires was on lunch and had just gotten back to start on my tires. So before anyone started on my car, it was 1 hour and 45 past my original scheduled appointment. I ended up being at Walmart for 4 hours with my two year old son. This Walmart needs to figure out their service department and be better at managing/scheduling appointments and employees’ schedules. Very dissatisfied and they wasted 4 hours of my day because they were not prepared and should have been.

I showed up without an appointment one day so I understand that point. I was close by and was going to multitask errands. The intake person was trying to convince me to go home and put myself on the list because they were very busy even though there was nobody there and at least 3 bays were open. He said he could add me on for the next day if I wanted. He was pushy about it and said I’d have to wait 2 hours plus. Since I had to get a hair cut anyway and really needed the service I left it and took my chances. 10 minutes later they call me that they can’t get the filter off and to come get it and take it somewhere else. Yeah, the other Walmart never had an issue.

Went in for a oil change with replacement of engine air filter. After they finished, guy said when he was driving car out of the bay that the car shook a little and seemed to misfire. He recommended I get a tuneup, replace spark plugs. When I turned on the car my engine light came on for the firsttime. I drove the car 2 miles to auto zone so they could check the codes and I explained my experience at walmart. Auto zone guy said sounds like they knocked something loose when replacing air filter. He lefted the hood.... When replacing air filter Walmart left hose disconnected or dislodged which caused engine light to come on. I still went ahead replaced the spark plugs on my own and all is good now. Very unhappy that walmart didn't have someone lift my hood a 2nd time after the experience the walmart mechanic had when driving my car off the bay. Never going back to any walmart automotive again. They are to careless. And I've had other incidences at other walmarts with oil changes.

Showed up today 6-1. Got there and an old woman told me to wait in the car and wait for a technician to check me in. I waited in the car as advised. 3 other customers showed up after me and got worked done. Then, they told me that I would be hours for them to get to me. That's is completely unacceptable and unprofessional paying around with customer times. They lack professionalism, efficiency, and organization. Don't waste your time here. They will gladly help you with it.

I bought my tires from Walmart partially for the lifetime rotate and balance. But the 3 times I've tried to get it done, it's a 1.5 hr wait. And with no cars in line. And you cant make an appt for this service. Coincidence? I guess it's easy to promise something that you don't deliver. Should have gone to Discount Tire.

The older employee was rude during visit. Damaged my car and said “it’s just cosmetic”. Don’t come to this Walmart tire center.

These mechanics couldn’t even remove hex head screws. I waited more than two hours, and they still hadn’t started my oil change. I told them to cancel it and left. What kind of mechanic shop doesn’t know how to remove a hex head screw???

If i could give no stars i would. Went in to have my tires rotated as we always have on all of our vehicles just to upkeep. As i waited for someone to come to the car and older man finally approached me. Upon him first speaking i immediately smelled alcohol on his breath (first red flag) told him what i needed he stumbled around trying to find something then walked around my car and told me i was “wasting my time” at this point he was sweating and smelled even worse than his breath and I finally decided to leave because for one, my car my choice on the maintenance , and two i would like my family to be safe driving after a service and would NOT want a drunk employee working on it. I will never be back to this location for any sort of car care. They have lost our business.

On August 4, 2024, I arrived at Walmart Auto Care at 8:00 AM for a scheduled oil and filter change on my VW Taos. Upon arrival, the service advisor accepted my vehicle, but after a short while, he approached me and informed me that I needed to purchase a new plastic oil plug. I started researching this online and found that this plug is typically designed to last for at least 4-6 oil changes. My vehicle only has 50,000 miles, and I definitely haven't reached that number of oil changes. It seemed like the advisor was simply unwilling to do his job properly so early in the morning. I told him to reinstall my existing plug, to which he agreed. A little later, he called me to say my car was ready. I paid for the service, but noticed that the dashboard warning indicating the need for an oil change had not been cleared. I called the advisor over, and he simply reset the warning using the vehicle’s computer after looking up the instructions online. Later that same day, I noticed an unpleasant noise coming from the lower front part of my car. When I inspected it, I found that the plastic undercarriage cover, which is removed during an oil change, was loose, and the tool used to remove it was still there. At the same time, a warning light appeared indicating that the oil level was too high and needed to be drained. How could your team be so irresponsible and careless in their work? Due to the poor quality of your service, the plastic undercarriage part is now broken, and the high oil level warning is still on.

I’m extremely disappointed with the service at this auto center . I made an appointment and waited over 3 hours for a simple “oil change”only to be told at the very end that they “couldn’t remove the oil filter” from my truck. The only reason I even found out was because I asked for an update myself, no one had bothered to notify me about any issues. If I hadn’t spoken up, I would’ve continued waiting indefinitely with zero communication I also informed the manager on duty, but he was no help at all, There was no solution offered, no urgency, and no accountability for the lack of communication This was incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of my time. I expected at least basic communication and customer service, and unfortunately, this location didn’t provide either

I went in to get 4 new tires for my car (2019 Toyota Camry XSE). Alot of places don't carry my tire size in stock. But I called and Walmart on 242 had them. And they had them for like $300 cheaper then anywhere else for a comparable tire. So absolutely zero complaints and all I can say is WAY TO GO WALMART on the price. I arrived at 5 pm and I did not leave until 7 pm. No joke it took 2 hours to get 4 tires on a Tuesday evening. Well I guess cheap and fast don't go together. But I'm ok with that. I mean I saved that much $ and only had to sit it out for an extra hour. I'm down. The guys who worked back there were all nice and seemed to do a good job. Absolutely zero complaints about that. So all in all I would say give Walmart Auto Care Center on 242 a go just expect to have a bit of a wait.

I scheduled an appointment earlier this week for Sunday at 8:30 a.m. for my daughter’s car. This was my first time using Walmart Auto Care Center, and I figured I’d give it a try. When we arrived, we were immediately told they didn’t have the oil filter needed for the car. The manager, Rigo, explained they didn’t have what was required—even though I had entered all the vehicle information when I made the appointment. I asked why no one called or emailed to let me know ahead of time, especially since all my contact information was provided. I was told they don’t offer that service and that customers are only informed once they show up. So essentially, the appointment meant nothing and our time was wasted. Pretty disappointing experience overall, though I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised—it is Walmart Auto Care.
