I went in today to ask about replacing all the rusted bolts on my sailboat trailer or at least information on the type I could use. The sale person would not stop talking about the bunks and that "any regular bolts" is what I needed. I tried to explain I wanted to use stainless steel or graded bolts on the bolts that will support the sailboat. She only told me about they only use regular bolts . I will not refer anyone here for any trailer supplies and If I go somewhere else and the refer me here I will ask about getting referred somewhere else, even if I have to drive to Carson City. Bad customer service.

I would leave no stars if I could. Needed a front end alignment and a warning light suggested I also needed a pump for smog system (a common issue). They didn't meet their time commitments on the alignment or this add on fix. After repeated calls, (and no return calls as promised) they finally took care of the work requested as I left work to check on things personally and sat in their lobby while the work was done. And ofcourse, they indicated the ECM (computer) must be bad as the warning light did not resolve once the pump was changed out. (They had my truck for a week to get this far). They asked for more time to research the error on the ECM and would get back to me. Nothing. tick tock tick tock. More nothing. Several phone calls and no return call. I spoke to Eric (owner or manager) and he indicated he would have it resolved for me within a day. 3 days later, I picked up my truck, still sitting in their parking lot where it was left days before. I actually had to ask if it was roadworthy before I took it as no one seemed to have a clue where they left off on the work. When I picked up my truck, I told them I was taking my vehicle to the dealer and the woman behind the counter arrogantly tells me reno dodge did business with them and would most likely just take my truck back to them. This shop has definitely gone down hill fast. I will definately be taking my future business elsewhere.

Brittany at the front desk was so friendly and amazing as we were driving through town with a trailer emergency and she was able to get us in right away. Thank you so much- great service!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! An extraordinary "above and beyond”-experience! Extremely friendly and competent staff, with great sense for customer service and communication. Me and my family had a what's called a "catastrophic failure" on our travel trailers and we could not have asked for more from the amazing staff att Washoe Metal! Three people worked overtime to get our camper ready in time, and Eric, the manger, even fixed our broken stoplight (not a part of the scope) himself AND gave us an extra bulb free of charge, 40 min after closing time! THANKS AGAIN, was great pleasure doing business with you guys!

I had a 2 inch hitch welded to my truck and the welding was top notch strong, however the receiver was mounted on totally crooked and when they realized their mistake, they tried to cover it up and would not fix it. I ended up cutting the whole thing off and rewelding it on with a much weaker welder and its been fine. Never again would I do business with this shotty company. Totally unorganized, scatter brain customer service.

Do Not Go Here!!! I had a small boat trailer axle that I was unable to get bearings and hub back onto. I wasn't sure if there was damage to the spindle (since the bearings had disintegrated), or if I was just having issues since it was my first time trying to replace the bearings on my own. Scott came out and looked at my axle and said it was bent and needed to be replaced with a heavier axle. I questioned this but didn't know, so I trusted Scott, who seemed nice and professional. He told me, he would call me with a quote the next day, but he thought it would be less than $200 for a new axle (possible new hubs if needed) and to have the bearings packed. I brought my axle in on a Monday and he thought I should get it back by Wednesday or Thursday. Scott never called with my quote. I called the day after he was supposed to call me. I never completely understood exactly what was happening, but my understanding was that they were not going to be able to order an axle that small, so they were going to have to fabricate one in their shop. It was now going to cost $280 and wouldn't be ready till the following Monday or Tuesday. By noon on Monday, when I hadn't heard anything, I thought I would call to see what the status of my axle was. After 5 minutes on the phone the friendly sales rep was unable to find my work order and said she would have Scott call me later in the day. However, I never got a call back. I call back on Tuesday morning, Scott now tells me that they are waiting on the axle be delivered but it should be ready on Wednesday or Thursday morning depending on when it arrives. By 2pm Thursday, I still hadn't heard from them, so I again must call. After dealing with the same missing work order issues, Scott tells me that now it won't be ready until Monday or Tuesday of the next week. Two weeks later, when I was told this would take a couple of days. I told them I would be picking up my new axle Friday at noon, or I would be taking my old axle elsewhere. Friday at 9:30 they call and tell me my axle is ready. I go to pick it up, but now they are trying to charge me over $400 for it. I end up getting my quoted price, but when they load it into my truck, I notice that they had not touched my hubs/bearings at all and now I still have the same issues that I went there with. When I go back inside, Scott says that they can do it, but they will have to charge me for it. At this point I just decided to leave. I ended up taking the new axle to Sparks Trailer and Repair. Within two hours they had the bearings packed and ready for me to pick up, and after looking at my old axle, they told me it would have worked, and I didn't need a new axle to begin with. I highly recommend Sparks Trailer and Repair. Do not go to Washoe Metal Fabricating. The customer service was not great, the communication horrible, and they will waste your money.

I needed a part for my trailer. I had called several other stores and everyone was out of the part and wouldn’t be able to have it in stock for several weeks. I called Washoe Metal fab and was greeted with an extremely nice gentleman who knew exactly what I needed and was able to overnight it for me! Not only did the part come in the next day but they also installed it and showed me how it worked! Extremely nice, professional, and knowledgeable. Will be getting all my trailer parts from them in the future!

They may be slow, but they do poor work. Only kidding, everyone from the owner on down that we dealt with did their best to accommodate our needs. They installed a 5th wheel hitch in the back of our new 2019 F350, which caused them a little more work as it has an aluminum bed. Cost was, in my opinion quite reasonable. I would have given them 5 stars, but when I hooked my trailer up I found that the installer neglected to install the pins that connected the hitch to the rails. No large, just shocked me when I hooked up and saw 2 of the places where the pins go sticking up in the air. I corrected the situation and down the road I went. Highly recommend this company.

While everyone I dealt with were very friendly, from one person to the next, things got lost in translation. So I was very frustrated by the end. The work they did of putting on a fender for me was well done, so no complaints there. When I made the appointment the work order was for a Wed., I dropped the trailer off on Monday and didn't get it back until closing on Thursday. WORK ORDER implies that the work would be started on that date. At one point I was told that only meant that an estimate would be done on that day, which doesn't make any sense at all. After many phone calls (one hand wasn't telling the other hand what I was telling them I wanted done), I finally got the ball rolling. The 2 things I wanted completed was alignment and camber checked on the trailer and a new fender installed. They said that they looked under the trailer and everything looked fine. That isn't checking camber and alignment. By this time, I just wanted them to get the fender on and have my trailer back. So, if I just wanted metal fabricating done, maybe they'd be a good choice. I don't know for sure since I furnished the fender. But my experience left me with a bad taste and right now, they're one redeeming factor was that they were always nice.

An axle piece that attached to my aluminum frame wheelchair completely broke off while I was in full stride! We brought it in to Washoe Metal Fabricating and they had it fixed in 15 mins! The weld is much stronger than the original. I can't tell you how happy I am with their knowledge and top of the line service and pricing. If I could, I would give 10 stars in this review. Thanks for getting me back in action.

I had a hitch attached to my Dodge Challenger and they did a great job. I originally got a quote online and I was surprised that there was no extra charges or fees because this was the second shop I went to. I went there out of the blue and they were able to get me in that day and I had originally arrived when it was their lunch but a guy was nice enough to talk to me real quick.

I just had three different trailer projects done by Washoe Metal Fabrication in Sparks Nevada. They did an amazing job on each. From general hub and door lubrication, to customer aluminum fabrication, to replacing safety chains, to changing out tires and wheels, to electrical and lighting fixes, to mounting a set of foldable bunk beds without directions. All was done well and I’m very happy with their service, their management and the team overall. As we all know these days service is worse than we’ve ever experienced on all fronts. That's why when we experience great service we need to let people know about it. Good front line service means there is great company supporting leadership. One does not come without the other. Thank You Washoe Metal and Team. I’ll be back for all my trailer needs in the future.

Got a Tommy Gate installed on our delivery truck. The price was reasonable, the work was done by the next day and the lift gate works perfectly, would recommend!

Good place cool people. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience today. I had called for some steel plate that I needed cut to a specific size. It was no problem when I got material from Washoe metal fab in the past, they put in the work order I waited a couple days, and it was done. When I picked it up, I asked if they have no issues doing stuff like this because I do a lot of fab work. The guy said yea no problem we can do it any time, but I might have to wait for it when they are busy. I was very disappointed today when I needed the same thing, just a custom cut piece of steel plate. The guy on the phone said we have it, but it is buried, and I don't have a guy to do the work, you would probably be better off going to Reno Salvage. I don't understand why a business turns down work like this. It's all profit for them. I pay for the material and the labor, but you recommend I take my business somewhere else. So, I called reno salvage and the guy was super nice and had no problem doing the work and said it would be done today, and it was cheaper. So, if you need material go to Reno Salvage.

I own a local Mobile Welding And Trailer Repair business here in town and get a lot of projects that are either too big for me or I don’t have time or I just don’t have the experience that Washoe Metal Fab has. They have been an amazing support system to help me grow my Mobile Repair business, and the staff and owners are very nice and very helpful and they are reasonably priced. They are always my first recommendation when I can’t do a job.

It’s rare that you come across a business that really cares about their customers. WMF is one of those rare finds. Professional and courteous. We were traveling across the country and hit some boulders on the road in Montana that managed to damage both of our axles on our camper. We tore through 4 tires in 800 miles so we knew something was amiss. When we got to Reno we called half a dozen RV repair shops and were quoted $2700 per axle and 5 weeks to repair. The last one I called recommended WMF and they got me in a few days later. They worked like crazy to get our trailer done in a day because we were staying in our trailer at our friend’s house. We were so pleased when they called us to let us know it was done. Under $1600 and a professional job. Thanks WMF you guys were our heroes that day.

Our travel trailer had an accident that broke the A-frame. Washoe metal are trailer frame repair experts so we had it towed there. I can recommend Washoe Metal without reservation. They are sooo helpful and expert, adapting to unusual repair situations on the fly with creativity and hard work. Jason on the front desk is so knowledgable and gives expert advice. Dan, one of the techs, is so positive and cheerful and hard-working I gave him a BIG tip. He got under the trailer, and on the roof, in pouring rain and did what needed doing, solving unique challenges quickly and the right way. Washoe Metal rocks! You could not be in better hands.
