I needed a new battery for my car and I ended up at “Why go to the dealer,” due to the glowing reviews I had read through. I am extremely pleased with the service I received. My car was done within the same day (within 1-2 hours) and the price was even lower than the ballpark estimate I was given by my dad’s friend who has worked with cars for over 20 years. I even attempted to give the owner an extra 20 bucks for labor because I felt I was being charged too little and he wouldn’t accept the extra money. I wasn’t up-charged for anything or convinced that my car needed additional services. The battery I was given comes with a warranty as well. This will be my “go to” auto-shop moving forward and I 10/10 recommend that everyone else goes here as well.

We have a 2020 Genesis G70 with 30k miles and the a/c stopped working. Took the car to the dealer and they quoted $3800 to repair. Marc’s quote was significantly less. But before I could book the appointment he recommended we contact the dealer again because the repair should have been covered under warranty. Been a customer of Why Go To The Dealer for years, and just here to testify that this shop is still the best. Mark not only took great care of my previous BMW and Alfa Romeo 4c Spider when I had it; but when I recently purchased a new car, he saved me lots of money by inspecting it and spotting its issue within a couple minutes of looking at it. (It took two other shops the warranty covered several hours and tests to agree.) I ended up thinking I had to take it to a dealership to get the repair done under Silver Rock's 100-day warranty, (Mark later told me that his shop could have done it under them, as well); and not only was their price, indeed higher than Why Go to the Dealer's, but it took them a full week to complete a repair that Mark quoted as seven hours of labor. So, thanks again, Mark, for being a great, honest, and affordable mechanic. I look forward to having another worry-free, car-ownership experience thanks to you!

This man got over on me. He could not repair my car after several attempts and refused to honor the warranty. Please beware this business. Very shady and dishonest when things go wrong with his service. I am out $1,300. Mark Brodsky is an unprofessional businessman. I believe he will get his comeuppance sooner than later.

Paid him to fix my truck. He had my truck so long I think it was over a year. I came to pick it up and he told me it was at another shop. When I return to get my truck some had broken into my truck took my speaker,my TV and radio and whatever else they could find. And my truck abs light was still on and not running correctly.

Could not recommend Mark enough. So nice to have a mechanic i can trust now. I dropped off my 2022 Nissan for an oil change and tire rotation. I mentioned to him how the last time i took it to the dealership (i95 Nissan - would NOT recommend) they told me I had a damaged strut and was leaking break fluid. They quoted me at over $2000 to fix it. Mark checked out each strut and break (even took me back and physically showed me) they were in perfect condition. Safe to say I’m taking my cars to him from now on and feel great knowing I have a reliable guy that knows what he’s talking about and is trustworthy. Could not recommend him more for anybody in the area looking for a mechanic.

I enlisted the services provided by this business to replace the struts on my BMW. The quoted price was $1253.20 for what I was told would be an 8-hour job. I was called right at the 8-hour mark, notifying me that the job was complete. On my way home, I noticed a creaking and knocking sound coming from the front suspension components. I called the business owner, Mark, to notify him of the issue to which he responded that it was a mount that wasn't replaced - a part that was perfectly fine before. I called again the following morning, asking that Mark look at the vehicle again to ensure it was safe to drive - I transport my baby in this vehicle. I took time out of my work day again to have the work reinspected. After a few hours, I was told that everything was fine and that it was the mounts. He offered to give me a quote on the additional work. The noises persisted. After a week of nerve-wracking commuting, I decided to get a second opinion. The second mechanic told me that the springs were installed upside down and that I needed to return the car to the mechanic who originally performed the work immediately. I once again called Mark to find a resolution. I then had to see. him for a third time to get the job done correctly. To top it all off, I returned to the second mechanic after hearing a similar noise coming from the front suspension. Upon inspection, he told me that only the right front spring had been reversed, with the left still being upside down. Instead of calling Mark again, I decided to pay the second mechanic to fix the issue. At this point, I am out well over a thousand dollars paid to two mechanics, three Uber rides, and eight hours away from work to ensure that a job was performed correctly by a "professional." THIS is why you should indeed go to the dealer. You will end up paying a similar amount of money while having the piece of mind that the job was done correctly the first time.

I was looking for the phone number of Why Go To The Dealer since I was having brake issues with my Lexus SUV, and I came across two relatively recent negative reviews. Although there are very few reviews that aren’t positive, I felt it warranted comment. I have been a customer of Mark’s establishment for close to 10 years. There’s a reason I keep coming back. I have always found the prices to be reasonable and the diagnosis to be honest. I even had them work on my Jaguar sports car, and not many mechanics have the expertise or the experience to do that kind of work. If I ever brought one of my cars back because I was still having issues, which was quite rare, any deficiency was acknowledged and rectified. You can’t ask for anything more than that from a business.

I stopped by to ask a question about my new led headlights getting installed into my jeep wrangler and Mark was very helpful right away and got me into his shop to start working on them immediately. I've been Facebook friends with Mark Brodsky from Why Go To The Dealer for quite some time and have followed his work closely. Although I live in Delray Beach and have a trusted mechanic in my area, I’ve always admired how Mark runs his shop in Riviera Beach. He consistently treats his customers with fairness, honesty, and genuine care—qualities that are hard to find in today’s automotive world. Recently, I had an opportunity to work with Mark firsthand. One of my clients, an 83-year-old U.S. Air Force Veteran, was in a difficult situation. He had lost his home due to a fire, and the city had condemned the property. With no other options, he was forced to live in his car. Fortunately, we were able to move him into a Senior Living Community to get him back on his feet. As part of helping him rebuild his life, we wanted to get his vehicle properly serviced and safe to drive again, so we could sell it. Since he lives closer to Riviera Beach, I didn’t hesitate to take his vehicle to Mark at Why Go To The Dealer. I dropped the car off on a Friday, and to my surprise, Mark called me first thing Monday morning to let me know the car was ready. The repair was not only done quickly, but also at a very fair and reasonable price. There was no upselling, no unnecessary repairs, just honest, quality work. If you want a mechanic shop with integrity, honesty & fairness, Then this is the place! Mark is a great person & friendly, he will treat you right and he employs other knowledgeable mechanics, besides himself being a great mechanic. My car is now 30 years old this year, It was tough hunting down parts for it, But he gave me some good companies and some good leads to talk to. And I was able to find what I needed, & with his help it was much less stressful. I had it shipped directly to his shop & it turned out great. I brought my vehicle back at it's new appointment & I was a happy camper when I left. They don't judge anyone here, everyone is welcome & LGBTQIA friendly. They are respectful & he expects the same in return.
