The service tech was a jerk and made up some nonsense about an after-market part that would prevent the smog check. No other shop has ever told me this before. I'll never go to this ghetto shop again.

I read review look good.. Becase good review I take car 1991 for smog test ..They should do visual test before do the computer test (I was missing preheater hose) A easy fix part i forgot to install) So the do the computer test first I pass.. But visual test missing ( preheater hose) I have to re- test and re- pay againt... They give me 20% off for second test. Im no to happy with that..is not okay

I called before bringing my vehicle back for a retest. Asked if the 2nd test is free. They said no, its just half the price. I bring my vehicle back and they hand me a full price bill. I asked the dude, he pretended he wasn't aware that a retest was half the price, and charged me half. I asked him if half price for retest was not standard, he said the 3rd test is hull price again. This feels shady. Im not coming back.

I was pleased with this place. Was in and out within 20 minutes. Customer service was good (does not accept check in coupons) and offered "meet in the middle" discount. Parking is very rough, but I still recommend this location.

This should have been a quick and easy pass, instead of throwing away $70 in 20 mins. Called before hand to get a quote for the smog before I even got there. they quoted me $60 out the door. There is not a lot of parking and it's a pain in the but to enter the area. Talked to the customer representative and let them know that I need a smog done. They said that I passed everything, but the visual inspection. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BEFORE HAND in order to see if it will pass. Therefore, you could tell the customer that it will not pass for whatever reason. In my case they did it last and failed me for a piece of tubing that didnt look factory. lastly, to kick while I'm down and they offered me $20 off my retest. Like I would ever come back here. I am not someone that knows nothing about car by the way. I have gone to school for automotive repairs. I unfortunately do not have my smog license to do it myself. This is not a place to get your car smog. Go elsewhere.

My minivan failed a smog check here because another shop had installed the wrong kind of catalytic converter on my van. The man at this shop was super helpful, calling the repair shop to find out what the mistake was about. It turns out the repair shop saved a buck by putting in the wrong kind and figured they'd never see me again (because I'm new to town and they're near the DMV). The man at X-Ray Smog said the other place could get in big trouble for doing that kind of thing. Anyway all this goes to say that I highly recommend this shop! Very trustworthy and helpful.

Love this shop! My family has been going here for 18 years! We take all our cars here! Any kind of repair, they can do it! AAA+ and they are sooo trustworthy! You wont be ripped off here. Gabriel knows old Volvos better than anyone! After trying lots of places who were scared to even look at my 850's evap system, a local mechanic referred me to X-Ray. It's an hour away, but I went for it anyway, and I'm telling you it was worth the drive. He found the problem, found another important problem, and fixed them both in a day and a half! He got my car smog tested too, and it passed. I can't think of a better place to get your car in order.

After being given vague answers at a different repair drop, they helped me diagnose an air conditioning leak for a reasonable price as well as getting my gas recharged. Thanks to their service, I was able to get the gas removed after finding the leak and put back in again all covered under the same service. Kind and compassionate guys I would highly recommend.

Absolutely horrible and not reliable, they want just charge diagnostic 160$ even if you know what’s wrong and just want it repaired, they also jack up the parts prices as u can see they get it from across the street, if they get it and if they let me buy my own from the same shop( autozon or Napa) they blame the parts for their bad work, the drove the car badly when they took it out for a test drive, if you love your car don’t ever take it there. Very bad and horrible experience.
