Recently purchased a 2015 Leisure Travel Van with about 83,000 miles. I had been doing my research and it looked like this was a good place to get Spinter service done. While I was there, they gave it a good inspection and showed me a few areas to address. Rats had done some damage near top of the engine and they took care of those as well as regular work that was due. They suggested installing a device to repel rodents (high frequency sounds and flashing lights) in the engine compartment. Seems like good insurance to me. They also pointed out some potential future problems that should be addressed soon. These folks are very professional and will take the time to explain various aspects of the Sprinter and how to best care for it. I plan on having them do all regular preventative work going forward, and if needed, any repairs that might be needed. 100% will recommend these folks to anyone wanting the best service for their Sprinter! Just to add, I've been back twice since this review for ongoing maintenance and they will continue to be my go to place for my Sprinter!

Wow! I am beyond impressed with the service I received from this shop, and they will have our business from now on! There’s a reason why these guys have a solid 5.0 rating, you can trust the reviews. We’ve been taking our Mercedes Sprinter van to the Mercedes dealership in Carlsbad thinking we would receive great service because, well, it’s a Mercedes. That thinking couldn’t be further from the truth. Let me tell you right now, if you’re in North San Diego county and going to a Mercedes dealership for Sprinter van service, STOP!! Sprinter Service and Repair in Vista is the only shop you should be using. I popped in with no appointment on a Monday morning, and probably got lucky they were able to fit me in. Next time I’ll be more courteous and make an appointment. Nevertheless, I was looking to get an oil change, but learned we needed a couple other services that we had missed. They also found a couple other problems that the Mercedes dealership in Carlsbad missed. They were extremely knowledgeable, took the time to explain things to me, and got me in and out in a couple of hours. Let’s face it, nobody like paying for maintenance services. There’s little joy in it, but I’ve never felt so good about paying for vehicle service before, ever! These guys care about their customers, and prices are very reasonable. The only regret I have is I wish I would have found them sooner. I also wanted to add after reading another review, that I was not asked by anyone from this shop to leave them a review, nor was I offered a discount to do so.

True Sprinter experts! After I had my 2014 Sprinter "sitting" for over 3 weeks at MBZ Escondido and spent money on repairs, but still not having a drivable van, I towed it to Sprinter Repair shop in Vista. Max and his team looked at the van immediately and decided to start working on diagnostics right away and pointed out to several issues. I was explained all about it and provided with a detailed estimate. After working exhaustedly to solve the problem, finally the decision was made to order a new engine replacement from Germany. The delivery took some time, but after replacing the engine and other necessary faulty parts, in addition to required regular maintenance service, my van was finally fixed. True Sprinters experts! Thank you!

10/10 experience; so happy I found this repair shop. These guys are the sprinter wizards!! Anywhere else is a waste of time! I have a 2011 Freightliner 2500 and have been chasing a boost leak / limp mode and finally gave up. Took it in for a free diagnostic and they had it figured out in less than 30 minutes. Maxim and his mechanic immediately recognized the exhaust leak, inspected all boost points and found the turbo to exhaust gasket was missing / too long of screws were used. They gave me a price to do the repair and a price for just the parts. They also gave me pointers on how to do it myself. I opted to buy the parts from them and do the repair myself with the newly gained knowledge and knowing exactly where the bolts are and steps to take. They have a fully stocked shop and very reasonable parts prices! No need to wait for shipping; I was on my way in less than an hour with all the knowledge and parts I need to fix my Van. Van is now up and running better than ever! Unbelievably quick and genuine service, they earned a lifelong customer. Thank you Maxim and team!!

I was referred by a friend who said, “Sprinter Service & Repair is the best! I’ve never used anyone else!”. I just bought my first Sprinter van this summer and it was due for its first Type B Service. I was able to pull up to get the service done same day. They make you feel comfortable in their lounge area while you wait. They’re super knowledgeable and fast. My Type B service only took about an hour and I was on my way. I’d highly recommend to anyone with a Mercedes Sprinter!

We were lucky to find Sprinter Service and Repair in Vista. These guys really know Sprinter vans and all of the quirks, Mercedes designed into them. We had a check engine light that was pointing to a bad water pump. I did some diagnosis myself and was skeptical that the real cause was the water pump and not just a symptom of something in the vacuum system. Sasha (at Sprinter Service and Repair) and I were able to discuss the system and they were able to diagnose it to various vacuum related valves. They were able to show me where that and potential other issues with the van are for future consideration. My experience with dealers and other mechanics is that they just start replacing parts until the problem is fixed. Not Sprinter Service and Repair. They find and fix the actual problem. I trust them with our van!

This was my first service after purchasing a used 2023 diesel Sprinter Van. I considered making an appointment, but wanted to make a visit to their facility prior to having service performed on my vehicle. The staff was very friendly. I asked if they had time to perform an oil change and, fortunately, they did. They showed me fluid samples of the transmission, rear differential, and showed me the condition of the air filter. They gave me recommendations on additional services and gave me no pressure on whether or not to proceed with them. I feel confident with future services from them and look forward to seeing them in another 7K miles.

I am so glad I found Sprinter Service and Repair! My anxiety about finding a trustworthy alternative to the dealer has been fully alleviated. 11/7/25~ Since I cannot write an additional review, I'll add to this one. Had another service and inspection, went just as smooth as the first! Very happy with everyone there, the cleanliness and organization of the shop, and their courtesy and attention to detail. Thanks for another great experience! 6/29/25~ I’ve been turning wrenches for over 40 years, even worked as a professional mechanic before becoming a fireman, but I’ve never had or even worked on a Sprinter, let alone a 2006 MB diesel. I’m extremely hard of hearing, my hearing aids don’t seem to help, I rely on reading lips, so the language barrier was slightly challenging for me. To explain what my Sprinter needed, they used adjuncts, they had examples of various stages of oil, transmission fluid, gear oil etc, so I was able to see exactly what the proper German oil was supposed to look like. They were very courteous, super informative, competent, and got everything done in one day, which helped because I drove from an hour away. They used P Touch style labels under the hood with all the service information completed and what mileage it was due again, much easier than digging through my files to find out what’s due and when. Their shop was clean, the waiting area and office were spotless, they had coffee for customers, definitely a class A operation. My new (old) Sprinter is a unicorn, it’s a 2006 with only 107,000 miles on it. I am confident that if I have these folks take care of my van, it’ll run forever. Thanks much for being great at what you do, you’ve got a dedicated customer for life!

I should’ve taken it here to begin with. Top level Sprinter service. These guys were recommended by my regular very good and trustworthy mechanic. “Just around the corner”, he says. Before I knew it, these Sprinter guys, with about 30 various Sprinters in their lot, had all of my fluids checked and replaced because I was to begin a 5K mile road trip and experiencing an intermittent oil level light. Within an hour-and-a-half they had my Sprinter completed and ‘ready for the road’, they said. That was Nov 30. On Nov 31st I made it to Yuma without incident and without the light. I have now, Nov 17, made it all the way to Nashville and am heading back for another service to get ready for my next trip. I just wish I knew of more Sprinter specialists on the road, just in case. Outstanding service! Outstanding customer service. Sometimes you just gotta spend the money to get what you need. Nice guys too. Dicks
