I went to Youngstedt’s for an oil change and asked them to check my brakes and perform a general check-up. I initially trusted them to be honest and customer-focused. The oil change went smoothly, and I had new tires installed. However, during my next visit, they claimed the front brakes were nearly worn out and quoted $500 for replacement. They also said my tire, which I knew was leaking, was fine until I insisted they check it; they then agreed to fix it. I took my car to a different local auto shop for a second opinion. They checked my brakes and showed me that all four were in excellent condition with thick brake pads. They also pointed out that one of the tires had been installed inside out. It appears that Youngstedt’s may have misled me about the brake condition and tire installation. Be cautious and get a second opinion to avoid potential scams.
