Everyone knows how difficult it is to find a truly honest mechanic who would give you his unbiased opinion about your car problem(s). And the only way you find this hidden gem is by word of mouth. This is exactly how I found Feriz after asking around my community center. Although his workshop is not the largest and the most tricked out, his honesty, service, and experience shows thru every aspect of his business. My car was making some noise and someone told me I needed new brake pads so I brought the car in with the pads I bought at a car parts store. I explained the problem to Feriz and he was quick to diagnose the problem as being a bad set of rotors. Not only did he save me time and money by getting the correct parts himself, he even test drove the car before handing over the keys to make sure the problem is resolved. I would highly recommend his services to anyone who needs an honest and professional opinion for their vehicle. Also, I asked around for a number of quotes before bringing my car here just to compare and nobody even came close to his prices!

Feris is fair priced and goes out of his way to make sure you are taken care of. Went in for turbo leak and it ended up being a oil leak by way of hose. It was done same day but I took it home and few days later seen oil spill. Took it back and he got on it right away. Showed me actually went under the car and he pointed out everything he had done... well it ended up being some trapped oil that had fallen out. Car didn't leak at all. Thank you Feris.

Great honest mechanic. You will not find a better one in Des Moines. Edit*** I originally wrote my review a week ago, my car was fine with no issues. Little did I know a day or two later I’d have the same issue Feriz already fixed and a couple more added to that. Words cannot describe how kind honest and patient this man is. He worked with me bringing the car to him when I can and with everything else. I will absolutely not go to any other mechanic no matter what. Do yourself a favor and visit him when you need repairs, you will not regret it.

Moved downtown a little over a year ago and had a cylinder 2 misfire. Read the solid reviews and knew I could walk home from the shop. I rely heavily on my car for work. Great, friendly, honest, and reasonable prices. They got my car back on the road in a timely fashion after changing the fuel pressure sensor and also opted to get my spark plugs done since they had to remove the same parts out of the way. Never take my cars to shops as I do my own work, but I am not back home and did not have my setup. Glad I picked this spot.

I dealt with Faris and hope I'm correctly identifying him as he was awesome. I went off a recommendation from my son, who'd used him for brakes. This gentleman is the truth! Not only did he fix my condenser for $200 less than my lowest quote, he went above and beyond. When coming back from the final test drive, he noticed the car abruptly shut off. He did another schematic and found the issue. He then fixed a misfiring cylinder and only charged for the part, not the labor. He's truly an "honest mechanic" which is super rare and we need more like him! Totally recommend as you will get good honest service at a fair price.

I went to Yugo Auto Services after being told my axle was broken. They first quoted around $700, but after they ordered the wrong part, the price jumped to $1,700 which was fine. I explained I just needed a few days to get the money, and instead of working with me, the owner got angry and told me he didn’t want to fix my car anymore. They made mistakes, changed prices, and then refused service. Very unprofessional experience I would not recommend this shop. Times are hard enough unexpected car issues happen and due to his mistake of ordering the wrong part he still should’ve fixed my vehicle. I was still willing to pay for it. That’s not how you run up business you work with your customer, but I wasn’t asking for him to work with me I just needed a few days to get the money.
