Don't believe the photos , the original location for 21st Smog used the facilities in the photos location. The smog testing is done around the corner , enter through the alley. Apparently it isn't open on Mondays at 9:00AM. Moved on to the next.

Me and another guy waited there in the morning to get the smog check done. Hours were said on voicemail to be from 8:30 am on. No one showed up. I left don't know if the other guy got served. Super bad!!!

Having had a crazy wait further south on the El camino and walked out I tried this place! IN AND OUT IN 25 mins flat………. Bit expensive but hey my time is worth money too.

Doesn't reliably open during "open" hours. I checked the day before whether I needed an appointment and when he opened and was told no appointment, but when I arrived an hour after he opens, he was still not there. I went and did another errand but when I came back he was open and had people waiting, which would have made me late for my next appointment. I don't have time to waste waiting for someone with so little respect for his customers, I went elsewhere.

If you want your car smogged quickly this is the shop. I got mine done for $40 all in on a 2008 Prius. The guy that runs the shop isn't very social but he gets the job done which is all the matters.

If you’re looking for a grumpy fellow to perform the CA smog check then this guy should work for you. The test is a scam to begin with but I suppose that is not his fault. The price did not seem to be as advertised, I guess that is because it is an all wheel drive. I’m not sure what that has to do with anything, they still just plug into the onboard computer and I think that’s the same for any car. I was at the facility and he was available with no delay so I went ahead with the test. I won’t go back again.

I wouldnt know what kind of service they prove, as even after I called at 130, when i showed up at 240 they had all left for the day. I think businesses in the service industry reserve the right to maintain whatever hours they choose, but making a misrepresentation of the time that they will be open and causing clients to waste time going to their place of business and have everything closed and locked up with out a sign to indicate whatever change in their plans is not professional. Im sorry to be that guy with a negative review.

First off I get there and pull up and the guy just sits there and doesn't even say hi or acknowledges my presence so I get out and walk in and he says pull into the garage and gives me paper work. I sat there for 10min and he did no emissions testing only visual and that cost me $78?!? Seriously... 10 min of inspecting costs $78? I should've went to a place on old county in Belmont they charged me $40 last time I went, I only came here because they were to busy. After the work was done the guy literally said 4 words to me, no thank you no goodbye thanks for choosing us... NOTHING. I left confused and frustrated that I wasted roughly $80 here for 10 minutes of inspecting. I wish I could get a refund.

They took my money and told me I needed to drive 80 miles and come back so my auto computer could gather data for the smog check. So I did. Got back and they were closed. I called them. Apparently they shortened their Saturday hours without updating their data on Google. That's fine, I came back Monday morning. Nobody bothered to show up to open the shop. I called them and waited around a while but nobody showed up. There's no sign indicating why they are gone. So I had no choice but to cut my losses and go somewhere else. I went somewhere else, and they told me that I needed to actually drive 300 miles, not 80 miles - so the info I got was bad. Not to be trusted.

Guy maybe spoke all of the 5 words. Gave me the estimate for $79.95 and I stated that I had a coupon. He looked at the coupon, took a pen and scratched out $79.95 and changed it to $29.95. Work took about 15 minutes. Grunted at me when it was done and I paid. No conversation at all - no hello or thank you. Job done, but unlikely I'd go back. Maybe he was having a bad day ....

If you're looking for a govial talkative warm smiling face.... Stay away. I have been taking my cars here for 4 years. He is quick efficient, especially with words, like maybe 10 the whole conversation, and your out quickly. Coupon for 29.95 plus a few other fees makes it quite inexpensive. I use this place because of the efficiency and price... not to be socially charmed. You just need to accept this guy is a class A curmudgeon and have fun with it........

The owner or just the guy who runs it, not entire sure, was somewhat aloof and a bit gruff but he was no nonsense and just got the job done in like less than 10 minutes. The actual charge is around $50 due to 8 certificate fee and 10 for "Star Smog" whatever that is, even with the online coupon... It's probably gonna be that way wherever you go. Go here if you want it done fast and hopefully there's no line.

I came when it opened. No fuss. He got me in and I was done in 15 minutes and passed. I used a coupon and all in all it was under $40 with certificate. I had my 18 month old woth me so I really appreciate the swiftness. He was nice but not talkative.

Got there at 9:30am, the time that Google stated the smog check place was open, the next door shop said he usually gets in at 10:30am. Customer service is lacking, but the actual work performed was quick and hassle free. The stated price on the invoice was $78. I had a coupon and with taxes and such worked out to be just shy of $40. Worth it.

Advertised price is quite good, but not keeping to your advertised business hours is unacceptable. It's unprofessional and disrespectful of people's time. Their phone message says they open at 9:30, but at that time, they were still closed. By 9:45, they had yet to show up, and I checked with the shop next door who said they typically saw this place open around 10:30. At that point, I gave up and went somewhere else, having wasted a bunch of gas and my time. Very frustrating.

One of the cheapest smog tests in the area. But I would have happily paid the extra money to go to a different place due to the service I received. He (steven) barely spoke to me and when he did it was short and barely audible, leading to my confusion. He handed papers to me without a word and would not elaborate when asked. I left having not had such bad customer service in years. Would not recommend coming here even due to the price.
