I called up there three times to get my car in there explaining it was the only means of transportation and I have to take the day off to bring it in they said do it first thing Monday so I took off that day and when Monday came around they said it will be at least a couple of days you can't do that I went to budget muffler in independence and got fast reliable honest good working people they might be good for others but not to me

They were extremely helpful when i brought in my maxima. I have alot invested in my car as i am building it into a show car ( if my girlfriend doesnt keep trying to make me sell it to get a chevy ) . The owner set me up with a badass custom exhaust from the headers back and even found a major suspension issue i was not aware of and offered advice on the easiest way to fix it correctly because i do most car work myself. I will continue to go back there regularly for anything i cant or dont want to do myself. Always get compliments on my exhaust too.

3/23/16 - I stopped in today to get a simple union fixed between the cat and the muffler on my 1997 chevy... The main mechanic / owner ran me off "because I asked too many questions". He quoted me $400, when I asked what that got me he told me I needed need new cats, etc, etc... I asked so how much for parts, labor time at that price I am considering a new exhaust.... he said "i am done with you, too many questions"... I ended up going to NCC in Belton and they fixed for $125, it required a cut, a small piece of exhaust and weld. When you are getting work done, it is common practice for someone to know what services they are agreeing to purchase.

The owner of this shop was very fair with me. I needed a new exhaust manifold/bracket but could not afford it at the moment. He offered a much more cost effective, short term solution to keep me going and allowed the car to passing inspection at a VERY fair price. I got a whole new exhaust system from the catalytic converter back for a very cheap price. Welding new mufflers is about $95 when it's about $140 other places. These guys are nice and do a fantastic job. Their work includes a one year warranty and they stick to it.

I came in because I failed my Missouri inspection due to a flex pipe leaking. The dealership doesn't do these kinds of replacements, and recommended A1. (It says a lot when a dealership recommends your services!) The dealership told me to be prepared though because it can be an expensive fix, and gave me an estimate that brought me to tears. I would have had to sell my car rather than fix it. However. Because the A1 owner is able to do custom work, he was able to replace just the one piece rather than having to replace the entire exhaust system. It saved me a fortune! I had called the day before to get a quote for the work. When I came in, he remembered our conversation and the work that needed done, gave me the same price, and was done within 2 hours. I'm not sure what experience one reviewer had, but as a mid 20's female, I felt very safe and respected, and did not smell anything out of the ordinary from a mechanic shop. I went back to the dealership to reevaluate the inspection and passed. I'm so thankful for A1, and have already recommended it to a friend!
