My car's battery died at 4:30pm on a Friday and they stayed open past their 5pm closing time to take care of me and give me the best experience! Extremely friendly and helpful, and it is no surprise to me that they have remained open for business for over 40yrs. Amir and Al are both tremendous human beings as well as mechanics. I was visiting out of town and I have a very specialized car. My breaks were making sounds and a wrench light was on. I made an apt on a Friday morning and mentioned I had to leave the next day. The team went above and beyond to meet my extremely tight deadline and it didn’t help that my car needed very specialized parts. The team used their connections and worked tirelessly to find the parts my car needed. Amir was very knowledgeable and was a straight shooter and I was extremely surprised they were able to fix my car in a few hours! These guys are the real deal and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them! I wish I lived in LA because they would be my mechanic for life! Thank you

Needed engine service at the last minute, and this company was kind enough to examine my car and resolve its issues. Called, explained the situation, they asked me to make sure I arrive by a certain time, and that was pretty much it. They were very fair with their prices, didn't force anything on me, and provided an estimate for future service the car would likely need. Very courteous, friendly, and professional. Very positive experience with them.

Amir and Al are great! I needed a set of engine mounts for my 2005 Mazda 3, plus some other small maintenance needs. They were very straightforward about the cost and what work would be performed, and didn't talk down to me or try to upsell me. They came in slightly under another estimate I had with another local shop. The work was completed before the end of the day, and I had my car back by 5pm! After the work was done, I took my car on a 3000 mile trip to Austin and back, and had zero issues. I'm so glad I went to A1.

I've been in LA for 12 years but always joked that I won't consider myself a local until I find MY mechanic. These 12 years I've tried 5 different mechanics and I'm happy to say I finally fond THE ONE. These guys are the most incredible I could have found. They went above and beyond trying to help me. They did extra work I didn't request, for no extra cost. They communicated with me, and made me feel I was the priority. They worked everything out with my insurance and they not only had the best attitude, but their work in my car was pristine. I won't ever dare to use someone else for my car needs, they just got a new lifetime costumer. I wish more people were like them. 10/10.

I'm so glad I found Al & Amir after my catalytic converter was stolen. The entire process of getting my car repaired was so seamless with insurance and a car rental. Awesome service. Honest!!!! This will be our new auto repair center for all our cars (and we have a lot! Car rental company) Experience: Called and spoke with Al who allowed us to come right away today to get breaks changed. (Very convenient thank you!) He checked the car out fully, had tires out and everything and told us we actually did not need to replace the brakes! We only ended up paying for the inspection and he told us we would not need breaks for at least another 5k miles. Most auto repair places would replace the breaks anyway and not consult honestly but A1 really provided A1 service and honesty which we really appreciate. Al - you are awesome and a good person. Thank you for your honesty and good service. We will be back!

I’ve gone to A1 several times for a variety of issues— new tires, collision repair, brakes, etc. Each time the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and communicative. They go above and beyond to make sure that your vehicle is in top condition when leaving the shop. The prices are also fair and they’re transparent (I’ve asked for an itemized bill and they provide it.) This is an all around solid shop (that I believe may be a family business) and I’d recommend them for holistic auto care.

It is so comforting and rejuvenating to be reminded that there are good people & energy in the world. I hit a curb and destroyed my tire at around 4:30 on a Monday. The shop was half a mile away so I was able to get there just before it closed. They told me that my tire would have to be replaced, it was too damaged to be repaired. I would have to leave my car there for them to fix the next day and that they would likely have it ready at some point in the afternoon. I have an electric vehicle, so they would have to contact other places to get the type of tire that I needed for the replacement. I was amidst a very busy time at work, coming off of hosting a guest for a week, and I had multiple appointments and commitments coming up. I was so upset and frustrated. I needed to be locked in the next day and I had like 5 different places to be. I didn’t want to make a big deal of things, but I was also about to cry from frustration, so I was just like ‘yeah, got it - just swipe my card,’ and left to keep myself collected. I had no idea when in my schedule tomorrow afternoon I was going to be able to pick up my car because I was scheduled for back-to-back commitments that I couldn’t miss. At around 10:30 am the next morning, I called to ask at what point they imagined my car would be ready to pick up so I could begin to try to figure out my stressful jigsaw puzzle of a schedule. When they answered the phone, they told me that they were just about to call me - my car was already ready to pick up!!!! Even though I had not said much, they were able to pick up on how stressed I was from my energy and what little words I did say. They made sure to get my car in first thing in the morning to have it ready for me as soon as possible. It is so rare in this day in age to meet strangers who truly just want to help you out and give you a break. I couldn’t have said how appreciative and thankful I was enough times. And they charged me infinitely less money than if I had gone to my dealership!!!!!! Efficient, timely, great service, and better people with the best energy. I will be back for all future car woes!
