Make sure to get your estimate in writing, in advance. My $150 oil change and fuel filter change turned into $250! First he said "You didn't tell me it was a diesel.." I DID tell him in advance. Then he quoted me $220 and later changed it to $250 "because it took more oil." He didn't know a duramax diesel takes 10 quarts of oil? What kind of mechanic is that?

A & L is by far the BEST AUTO SHOP I've experienced since moving here 6 years ago. After being referred to Alvin by a friend in the midst of an unexpected car dilemma, and no one in the area being able to take me without an appointment, I reach out to A & L and they invited me in right away! The mechanics here are not only friendly & reliable, but they seem to care about your vehicle just as much as you do. My car was diagnosed on the spot and ready to be picked up the next day! With such amazing service I expected to be sticker shocked by the bill, but I couldn't BELIEVE how affordable it was compared to what I've paid in the past. New Year’s Day, my tire was losing air suddenly after dropping off my mother at work. Had a nail inside and what’s worse is I had to drive back to Fort Myers. I call almost every repair shop nearby but none were open or able to. Luckily, this one answered and though closed for the day, the mechanic went out of his way to open his shop and plug up the tire for me. Very friendly and helpful, saved me from a stressful drive too. Recommend 100% ☺️

A&L auto repair is hands down the best auto shop. I’m honestly satisfied with the price, friendly service, quality care, prompt response, and actual pictures shown of parts being no good and tell you the reason why. Most importantly getting the job done properly not like other shops guessing what the issue is or just over charging me. Alvin was definitely a haven sent!!!! He’s the best.
