Took car in for 4L60E transmission, price was good. After less than 500miles I had a leak. Took car to interior shop for work and detail post $6000 paint job, called Paul told him about leak said bring in right away September 14 2017, did that. Called after a few days, left message no answer. Called following day, daughter answered gave me Paul's cell number left message and no call back. Went up to shop following day and car was filthy and had damage to paint. Now he wants to blame shop for messing up tranny and he tells me to sue him and said they didn't lift hood even though he said fluid level was good and still don't have car October 16 2017. Paul is a great salesman but once work is done customer service to fix WARRANTY WORK is terrible and he had the nerve to tell me to shut up and cursed at me. Paul has alot of excuses for not completing work in a timely manner(ie daughter out of town, workers not showing up, computer problems, door bell not working, etc). DONT GO THERE!!! By the time I get car back I'll be out of warranty as long as he has taken. Contacting BBB

This place is a joke! I called to get a quote over the phone, and the person that answered the phone kept saying hello like he couldn't hear me. I asked, "Can you hear me?" and he replied, "I yelled hello three times, is that enough for you!" They will not even get a chance to earn my business. I don't believe they should get one star in my opinion!

Spent almost 2000 bucks. They said it was ready to be picked. When I got almost to the house, the transmission was doing the exact same thing it did when I brought it to them. Plus, now the engine had a cylinder that was miss firing. I brought it back to them. They had it for a month and a half. No one call with updates about it. I finally called. They said they drove it several times and couldn't get it to run bad. They said it ran fine for them. I picked it up this morning. When he pulled the truck around front, he said it was miss firing. I was fed up. I drove it home. It was no better than when I originally gave it to them.

A to z Excuses. So Paul the owner sold me on the amount of "time" he's been doing this for, it was all for nothing as it became a 3 day ordeal. Followed by excuses on why he hadn't even started on the car. If you're sick than why take on a job in the first place? Made no sense to me. Originally I went in for a belt change and left with it worst then i came in. The 2nd mechanic had to adjust the belts on the same day it was fixed which was a Sunday, I proceeded to come back twice again. Followed by Paul telling me that he couldn't service it again for another week. I couldn't wait so I went to my local dealership where i was told that the belts were barely put on there correctly. $300 later and i pick up my vehicle from my dealership with NO issues what so ever. It was an expensive lesson to say the least. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle elsewhere unless you have extra money to have it done right afterwards💸 Never again. EXCUSES don't pay the bills.

This shop is our go to for Trans work. They are very good at what they do, and very busy because of that reason. So if your willing to wait a little while it's worth it, I promise you won't be disappointed . Good people and great repairs. Thanks Again AtoZ for putting up with our junk. Sincerely Eric Humiston ( Fleet Manager Class Services Inc.)

Paul rebuilt my transmission and it never worked right. I took it back to him and he blamed the problems on me not putting enough fluid in it. He rebuilt it again and after multiple excuses and delays, charged me extra money and said there would be no warranty unless I paid an additional 800.00. Got the feeling he would squirm out of it anyway. Six months of poor performance, I now have a completely destroyed transmission. Wasted alot of time and money with Paul. Lesson learned. Don't waste yours.

I had two truck transmissions done by these guys and no issues, main guy Paul can comes off cranky but he’s a older man, i get it haha the lady is very friendly (sorry i forgot her name) but i recommend these guys to anyone. Just let them do their thing, they haven’t done me wrong so I feel comfortable letting some others know how good of a job they do. 👍🏻

Took my nephew's vehicle to this place to get engine rebuild done was told it would take a couple months . 14 months later finally got it back after being told every week for 5 months "It will be done this week". And the check engine light is on. Owner said the knock sensors and o2 sensors that are throwing the codes were not part of the rebuild. Needless to say we are not taking it back there and The owner is Rude old son of a gun. Too bad we had a bad experience here the shop came highly recommended ¿ don't know why?

I used another company for years to rebuild transmissions for our family , they moved to the East Valley so I went looking around for a good transmission shop. Every awesome mechanic I new said the only one they would go to was A to Z. I called around for pricing , all the firm prices I got from reputable shops were over $1800 , I made a Visit to A to Z transmissions after an initial phone quote of $1050. As I arrived I remembered that I had looked into renting space next door to them and remembered the landlord saying that they had been there forever , were good tenants , weren't leaving and worked late alot of nights to get projects done. That didn't affect me one way or another as a tenant , but now it sounded pretty good as a customer. They drove my truck , told me the same thing as my mechanic , hooked up a diagnostic tool to it and quoted the same price as over the phone and included all the things that the $3500 companies said I wouldn't get for that price. Before they would take my keys they let me know that there could be things broken that they couldn't tell and those items on my transmission could be up to $500 but wouldn't proceed without my ok. I picked up my truck a few days later and it ended up costing within $4 of the original Estimate , none of the $500 was needed. The truck runs like it is new. They gave me a 24,000 mile 2 year warranty and went over specifically all of the terms of that. Not like they didn't want to be liable , but so my transmission would outlast the original one. I never got the feel here that this shop was out for the money , just to provide a good service for a fair price. I am a locksmith in Surprise and I will go through more transmissions with the miles our family drives , every one of them will go to a to z. I rarely write reviews , but feel I'm fortunate to find this shop and that they're close to my home.

Emplyee/mechanic Paul drove into me on Dysart while on a test drive. If you own a Jeep Wrangler look for some left front bumper damage. He refused to give me insurance info. El Mirage is aware.

Paid 1500 for a transmission rebuild and a small leak after over 2 months I received my car back and within days it was dumping trans fluid all over the under carriage, So I called Paul at A2Z to let him know and right away he's telling me if it ran dry it would void the warranty! Accepting no accountability! He did tell me to bring it back for repairs but I didn't I decided so take the loss and went to a highly recommended shop they had to reseal the transmission it was leaking from the front pump, rear seal and speedo When I picked it up the other guys said it was never rebuilt and my converter was damaged.

Ruth and the owner Paul are great. They don't give you the run around and they make you feel welcome. They have worked on both of my vehicles and done a great job. I have never had any issues with them and there prices are far. I highly recommend them.

I took my vehicle to A to Z after having failed a smog check. The office staff was friendly, cordial and extremely knowledgeable about my situation. Upon inspection of my vehicle they determined I needed a complete overhaul of my emissions system including my catalytic converters. I must say, Pedro, the Office Manger and Paul, the owner exceeded my expectations with prompt and efficient service. Throughout the process of the repairs Pedro would call me to give me updates on the progress which was helpful. I must say the cost was not what I expected for the value I received. I'm so happy and thankful I found them and will continue using them for all of my future automobile repairs.

I decided to write this review because of some of the bad reviews of the business which I read while looking for a shop to rebuild my transmission on my truck and to give my honest opinion of them and their work by letting a good portion of time pass before writing this review. I decided to take my truck to A to Z transmissions after doing some research online trying to find a shop near me that would rebuild my transmission and offer a warranty on their work (I shared with them some of my terrible experiences) and I felt as though they were a good fit. I don't remember the exact date that I took my little ranger to them but it was close to two years ago now. They had the truck for maybe two weeks and gave me a call letting me know it was ready. Ruth and Paul were both extremely kind and patient with me (I call and check on my vehicles to the point where its probably annoying) giving me information on the vehicle and what was being done to it. The transmission is still going strong and I have complete faith in the work preformed. This being said we did run into some problems with my truck that I would like to address since a portion of the reviews on google mention Paul not warrantying his work. While They were redoing my transmission they mentioned that my rear main seal was leaking and that it should be replaced ( don't remember the exact cost but it wasn't a lot since they already had the transmission out of the truck) Well over time I noticed that I was leaking some oil and after looking around was positive it was the main seal. I called them and explained the situation and they had me bring it in so they could look at it (NOT THEM BEING JERKS, IT'S THEM DOING SOMETHING EVERY SHOP IN THE WORLD WOULD DO TO MAKE SURE IT IS THE PROBLEM) well after a couple days they said that it was their mistake and the seal was leaking they pulled the transmission and replaced the seal at no cost to me. I've since brought both my Ranger and Silverado to them for different jobs and feel comfortable recommending them to anyone. Like so many reviews before Paul does know his stuff and that is extremely obvious once you talk to him and Ruth is a great help and very friendly. They are amazing and definitely stand by their work and back it up!

I needed a win with everything that’s been going on and this shop performed. We brought our 96 Impala SS for a transmission rebuild. I was very happy with the repair. Price was fair, the repair was clean, repaired early and they have an honest and welcoming Staff. Thank you.

Paul and his team did a great job fully rebuilding my 4R75W Transmission in my 05 Expedition 4x4. It had blown 3rd and 4th gear completely and could only do an average speed of 45 MPH. In only a few days they have the transmission running like new, and also fixed a balljoint that was about to fail which was discovered when i asked them to investigate a vibration in the front end. The price was literally less than half of what AAMCO wanted, and took less than the week AAMCO had quoted. This was my first time using them, but i have already made plans to bring my Mustang to them for a clutch job sometime soon. Hell they even did the rear main seal for only a few bucks more while the transmission was out, all at my request.

I recently had A to Z transmission work on my 2005 Monte Carlo SS I dealt with Paul. They did an excellent job I couldn’t be more pleased I contacted several transmission shops in the area and just wasn’t comfortable after talking with other shops about this type of transmission. I was referred to Paul at A to Z transmission by my Pool Guy who has had Paul work on his son’s car and was very happy with the work done. I called Paul and spoke with him and I could tell right away he knew what he was talking about I’m extremely picky on anyone that works on my cars especially the transmission. The transmission operates now better than factory I wasn’t sure that was possible but it is. Thank you Paul & Ruth 🙏🏽 and staff for a job well done I would recommend you to anyone thanks again Russ🙏🏽😎🙏🏽
