I called to see if they gave free estimates. And since the location was close to my home, I decided to go ahead and give them a try. The lady on the phone informed me that they would have to look at it from 82 twelve sometime on a weekday that I brought it in. Add my wife, follow me to the location and drop it.The understanding that they would get back to meet before or by noon. It was no big deal when I didn't hear from them till I called them at about twelve thirty. At that time they told me that the mechanic was just bringing it in to get a look at It. 20 minutes later, the mechanic called me and told me the estimate and the work that needs to be done, which was over $1900 for a air compressor for the air conditioner. I forgot to mention that was the reason I was taking the car in to begin with.It wasn't blowing cold air and it had a Leak. I was shocked about the price of the estimate and hadn't break it down and he told me that the parts were gonna be well over $900.The rest of it was the labor I guess he said it was a all day job. He also mentioned replacing the Condenser. I kind of suspected that they didn't really give it a good going through since they called me twenty minutes after it had just got pulled in. Getting a second opinion was the next step. And it turned out that I got the whole thing done, replacing the compressor for under $600 total labor and everything. So I would not recommend this place. I think they're just out to clip people and because they've got some good reviews of of late. I think those people probably got kicked right in the ding. Ding ding.

I recently took my 2013 F-150 in for service. I had an oil leak and coolant leak. I had gone to another repair shop and just for finding and fixing the oil leak alone they were going to charge me over $4000. AA did an overall check of my vehicle and found that in addition to the oil leak and coolant leak, there were three other items that needed to be addressed and fixed. They called me and went over each and every item, answered all my questions and quoted me a price that was more than reasonable, and far less than what the other repair shop had quoted me just for the oil leak. I was told it would take a few days to get all the work done, but my truck was actually ready late the following day. I am so impressed by the quality of the work at AA, the friendliness of the staff and their whole operation, I will never take my cars to anyone else, it will always be to AA. In fact, I took a stack of their business cards and have already passed them out to my friends and family so they will start taking their vehicles there also. I cannot say it strongly enough, AA is the finest repair shop in Albuquerque! Give them a call, you will not be disappointed.

Needed daughters AC checked. I had already charged the freon to green, but AC still wasn't working. Lisa welcomed me, explained with out an appointment it could take most of the morning, but was willing to work me in. She even mentioned a coffee shop & a bakery outlet near by. I had brought a book so I was good to go. Perry called me 45min later telling me I needed a pressure test on the AC system, quoted a price for the testing to troubleshoot. I agreed & waited. After they spent quite awhile on the vehicle charging the AC with a dye to check for leaks. Perry came out to inform me I had a leak down in the core areaof the engine. It was in a area that would require dropping the transmission & some other tight areas. He was honest and straightforward about how big this job. He was rock solid with the fact they were not equipped to do this job. His honesty was impressive. Even if they couldn't fix it he was able to make recommendations to who could & explained the cost. I noticed a lot of seniors using this place, even ask one gentleman about the place. He said "I have been coming here for 50yrs that says it all". Even though they didn't fit the AC I know what is wrong, price was less than a hundred for all the investigation to find the problem, & a solution was presented. I highly recommend this place

The family at AA Auto & Air Conditioning is an amazing team of professionals. Honest work and repair was completed as planned and no intention of taking advantage of the customer. I took in my RAM 2500 for hot air coming out of the vent. Come to find out, the previous mechanic, which I thought i could trust, installed a new compressor with incorrect seals. Resulting in the AC running without refrigerant. Perry called and explained what he found with suggested plan to repair my system. Had such a great experience here, very accommodating and very knowledgeable. I was able to drop off our car the night before and they made it real easy to just leave it there for service in the morning. I was notified very quickly about repairs that needed to be done. I was driving across the country from CA to NC, and just before Albuquerque the A/C stopped working. AA Auto & Air Conditioning was able to fit me in for a pressure test on the day I arrived. The next day, after picking up parts, they fixed the problem and had me back on the road by 11am. I felt so lucky to have found them and to be so well taken care of!
