Tried to rip me off and said they don't work on CVTs and then when I told them not to touch my car, they did the work without my permission. They told me my transmission wouldn't last a month and it's been going strong for several years. Awful place with lying staff.

outstanding service...son's clutch went out while going to school up there, got the thing back on the road quickly and no surprises and the prices were not out of the world like the dealer wanted. Buyer beware!!! Great guy to talk to and seems honest and sincere, but.....had our Chrysler Pacifica transmission rebuilt here. He said new transmission should last 80-100k miles. Immediately after I drove away and paid him caution light kept flashing. 2 weeks later, I called and explained what was going on. He said it's fine and something is probably not just "perfectly" aligned bit everything is okay. Fast forward, transmission went out 34000 miles later (all easy highway driving with cruise on) he seemed shocked this happened but said it was over a year later and said sorry about your tough luck nothing I can do for you. REALLY????? So even if this helps 1 person out and prevents this from happening again I'll be happy. Seems like a good guy but I feel like he'll tell you what to hear at first to get the job. After that, all bets are off and even if his work is sub par and doesn't hold up to his word, the customer service you'll get out of him will be long gone and will leave you financially in a bind again...best of luck on whatever decision you make.

When making the decision on who to let repair my transmission, I listened to my local mechanic who recommended I consider Aamco. I also contacted three other local shops with good reputations on Google. After visiting Aamco in person, and meeting Richard, the local owner, in person, I felt I found my shop. Our truck broke down on I-80 eastbound. We had it towed here as it need transmission work. They explained everything to us, and repaired our truck timely. The dealership said I needed a new transmission , which took them 9 months to figure out. They also pressured me to make to make an appointment or face dire consequences. I took my car to AAMCO for a second opinion. I did new a new transmission, but they said I had time to decide what I wanted to do. I appreciated their honest opinion that the transmission was just beginning to have problems and failure was not immediate, as I was lead to believe by the dealership.

I was quoted $185 over the phone for a transmission flush and was charged $281. I told them what I had been quoted over the phone and they brought it down to $220. If I had known they were going to do that, I would have gone to a different place that quoted me $200 and were more professional. There was also a huge fight between employees and it scared me because I thought they were going to get violent and the door to the lobby, where I was sitting, was thrown open and one of the employees tried involving me in the fight. I will not be returning.

Update to add: I have emailed you twice with no email or return call. Please don't act like I didn't do everything possible to take care of this before posting my review. If you cared at all there would have been a reply email 72 hours tops after I emailed you. It has been over a month with ZERO communication from you as the shop owner. Because you do not care. Feel free to respond to my email if you are going to do what is right. Otherwise don't bother. If I could give this place zero Stars I would. Richard and Brian are trash. Pure trash. They evidently also don't pay their bills between the two aamcos and punish the customers because of it. They are making a small business pay for their mistakes. Do not ever buy from them if you are a shop because they will sell you thousands of dollars worth of parts that don't work and then tell you it is your problem. I am in contact with the BBB and so much more. Spent 7k on a transmission that completely locked up from the inside the amco here told me it never should have been bought or installed and yet they want to blame it on everyone but themselves. They won't cover a transmission that hasn't even been driven 500 miles oh and they want $7,000 for a rebuilt and labor when another shop can do it for half that. They are a trash shop with trash owner/management. I hope the small business shop takes them down and takes all of their customers because that is what he deserves.

My transmission went out and I called two bigger shops in Lincoln that I USE to frequent. For the prices they quoted me I could have bought a second vehicle. A friend remembered taking a old car to AAMCO so I called. Richard listened to my story, said they could fix it and quoted me a price quite a bit less than what the other places gave. Not only that, but it was done in less than two days! Why it didn't occur to me to look at a place with the word transmissions in its name in the first place is beyond me...... They are all about quality, integrity, honesty and helping people. I'm not taking my Escape anywhere else!!! Richard even brought my vehicle to me at work!! Honestly people, it's so hard to find a place that treats you with respect, one you can trust that doesn't just have you bend over and not use any lube or spit when they take advantage of you. Richard is like a favorite uncle, humble, honest, and has your best interest at heart. I'm telling everyone I know about his shop as I'm done being taken for a ride and $$ Check them out for your cars needs my friends, you won't be disappointed.

I brought my truck in it wasn’t shifting correctly. Richard was very helpful, very quick to communicate with me. Richard inspected the transmission and gave me a thorough explanation of what I needed fixed and provided me with an estimate. I discussed with him the options and what I use my truck for.He not only rebuilt the transmission, but put in some upgrades based on what I told him I did with the truck, and he kept the price on the low end of the estimate he provided before I even told him about what I used the truck for. Richard definitely was looking out for my best interests as a customer and I greatly appreciate him and his employees.

No one enjoys having to replace their transmission, but when it happens, like it did me on Febr. 20th, 2024, I trusted Brian, shop manager and owner Richard Hobson to repair mine. They did the job on time as promised and I'm back on the road. This place is freaking awesome, Brain helped me right away when nobody else would. I was stuck on the side of the road because my transmission went out while traveling with my two small children. My own car company wouldn't help me get a tow without paying $177 and Brain recommended a tow company for me that was half the price, to get to his shop. My car company was a pain to deal with, but Brain did right and worked with them and got the job done. The entire time there was great communication and I didn’t have to worry. They definitely went out of there way for me and I will never forget it. My car sounded beautiful, and my kids and I are so happy. I definitely recommend these guys!

They are AMAZING here! They're professional, honest and fair. They're fast and efficient and treat you like you're the only customer in the world! The owner, Richard, is a sweetheart and honest man. He understands customer service and the importance of a returning customer. I am skeptical of anything auto related, but they've never tried to up sell/over sell me at all. Spent 8k on a rebilt transmission for my truck they gave me a 12 mo warranty and only 12k miles 11 months later the transmission went out at only 27k miles!!! They offered me another rebuilt one for even more than I paid the first time what a joke avoid Aamco at all costs I could have gone to Certified and got a 3 year 100k mile warranty for the same cost.
