I went in because a family member recommended this place . That turned out to be the right move . I had brakes done and tires replaced and the brakes were 28% cheaper than the Subaru dealer the tires were also way less expensive than I was quoted from my local shop . The staff was professional and friendly. At any car service place they’re hardly ever friendly but they were here . I will recommend this place to everyone. Thanks you’ve made a new customer. These guys are awesome! You always know a good business when they know how to handle with a disagreement with style. Somehow I was charged one amount on thought it was to be another amount. The owner gave me the benefit of the doubt. The service was phenomenal and I even got limo ride home and they rushed my truck through in 3 days!. The business owner here, James, is full of integrity and good service. I totally recommend going here. If you like me you’re probably gonna get your catalytic converter stolen like we all are in Benicia. Aamco Vallejo is da best and totally recommend this business!!

Needed work done on my ride but didn’t have time to shop around. Thought I’d give these guys a try. Years ago I wasn’t happy with this AAMCO, but I was desperate. Well, I’m glad I gave this shop another shot. New ownership is there and it shows right from the get go. The shop was clean and had a professional look (wasn’t that way before). Greeted by Kay. She was great. She got my car into the techs, diagnostics was done quickly, the repairs were fully explained to me and I went ahead with getting the work done. Everything fixed. No problems. Still I wondered if I got a good deal. I decided to call around asking for estimates. Most shops wanted me to bring the car in, but I was able to get some quotes. Turns out I got a great deal. So, as long as the new management is around, I will make this AAMCO my go to shop from now on.

The service and people are excellent. The issue keeping me from giving you 5 stars is that you replaced my windshield wipers at a total cost of $175.00. This is way more than I would have expected considering the time it took was about 10 minutes. The cost of the wipers was $62.00. Your hourly rate to perform this will keep me from returning. Your hourly cost of $149.00 is way more than I will pay in the future. Your ad on the radio says to come in and buy the wipers and you will replace them for free? What was free?

I had an awesome experience here. Staff was very welcoming, friendly and even quick witted when I sent some dad jokes their way. I replaced my compressor on my truck and had the system recharged here. My vehicle was only in their care for a couple hours and then it was as good as new. Also charged $80 less than the stealership quoted.

I wish there was a way to give zero stars and just give my feedback after my experience with this merchant. I took my beloved car for a clutch replacement which was very pricy (over 2K) and after exactly 95 days, when the warranty expired, the car broke down. After taking it for a second and even third opinion, all the experts agreed the repair was incorrectly done, which lead to further issues. After 4 failed attempts to contact the service manager, I had to scrap my car and move on. Stay away from this place!

I brought my vehicle here over the weekend to get a set of four new tires I paid in cash up front and never received my tires. They are refusing to give me a refund I have no new tires and now I have to go to court to get my money back this place is a freaking joke I would never do business here again

The owner or manger James has resorted to ignoring my calls during business hours after repeatedly feeding me lies about my warranty claim he supposedly started back in February. Now he is silent and I can’t even go down there in person because for some reason they are closed Friday though Monday, must be nice James! If you’re looking for decent customer service and a business that keeps up to their warranty without issues DO NOT waste your timing choosing aamco vallejo

James helped to find a better transmission replacement at a lower cost and his crew did a timely and great job. I was back on the road and my truck is running better then when it was new. Had to get a new transmission on a used car I bought about 3 weeks ago 2013 Ford Escape. I had an extended warranty on it so took it to Aamco. Had it towed there on a Friday. Called to make sure it got there, James called me back and went over the whole process of what would happen with the warranty I had. They are closed on the weekend so James called me back Monday to let me know I needed a new transmission and he would send all the info to the warranty company. I was informed my James on every step of the process and what would happen. I didn’t have to call and check up he was always on it letting me know. I called the warranty company to see when it would be shipped and they told me it would be there the next day. So I called James and told him. He already had the part and the mechanics were putting it in. He offered to swing by and get me on his test drive so I didn’t have to use a Lyft to get my car. On top of that he saved me money on the final cost. James and his crew went above and beyond to make sure I got my Ford back as soon as possible. Can’t say enough about the service I received from James. Highly recommend this Aamco!!! Never had such a good experience with taking my cars in before this. Thank you James and your team of mechanics!

This company will try and just take your money! Look elsewhere for honest people!! I paid this company to diagnose my problem. I was leaking transmission fluid out of the front bumper of my ford. I didn’t drive my truck after I saw the puddle of fluid underneath my bumper! James and I had a discussion about what the problem could be and we talked about my cooler lines breaking. He totally ignored this problem and went straight to telling me I need a new transmission! Costing over $6,000! Turns out a rock hit my cooler lines on the freeway and all that needed to be done was that and add transmission fluid! Worst part is he couldn’t explain to me why I was leaking where I was he just said “I don’t know we have to break your transmission apart.” (Which by the way the leak was located near my radiator and nowhere near my transmission) Good thing I listened to my gut and went to an honest man, he found my leak in literally 1 minute of me explaining to him my problem, fixed my cooler lines replaced the fluid and it runs just like when I bought it! What James said was a $6000+ dollar fix was actually just a little hose and an hour of work for 300! Moral of the story these guys are just trying to make a dime, not honest, and will tell you anything just to take your money. Highly recommend looking elsewhere for work especially if it’s out of pocket

Specialize in transmissions? Or is it more like unnecessarily replace them? Why did AAMCO charge $175 for a misdiagnosis? Again, do you or do you not claim to specialize? I was quoted $4500 to replace my so called shot transmission. I got another opinion from an actual mechanic and he completely fixed the issue for $300. Had you dropped the pan you would have discovered no metal shavings and a filter that needed replacing. And if you had done that, would you have told me it was only a filter replacement instead of the entire tranny? When I stopped by looking to be refunded my $175, I was told that the gentleman who dealt with would get ahold of me. Unfortunately, no return phone call. I didn’t expect to be refunded but I did expect common professional courtesy along with an acknowledgment in accountability. From everything I have read and heard, AAMCO Vallejo is pretty consistent with this sort of customer service. I’m sure this review will be responded to with “We did our due diligence in diagnosing your transmission issues and everything indicated that a replacement was the proper course of action.” Sure. But we both know better. The AAMCO corporate office along with the BBB will be notified of this matter.
