We were really hoping to write a good review for this shop until we realized things were missing. Took our car here to get the AC worked on. Thought we were getting a great deal until we realized we were missing things out of our car. I had two disabled veteran parks passes that I use for part of my therapy in a specific place in the dash. But after tear the car apart to look for them, they were nowhere to be found. When we called they said they didn't know anything and they put all our stuff in boxes in the back. If you take your car here make sure to get all your valuables out of the car before you leave it with them.

Fix my A/C for a fraction of the price of the dealer. New compressor and condenser installed on Buick Enclave, done on the same day I brought it in. $1,100 out the door. 1 year warranty for parts and labor. A/C now induces hypothermia in passengers. Great, friendly service.

I had a hard time finding a clutch coil instead of the whole compressor for my BMW and they had one in stock. It was a good price at ~$34 and fit. Saved me from having to buy a new compressor. The only thing is that the plug on the new coil didn't fit so I had to splice the old one on but that is easy enough. Thanks again.

Came here to get an ac compressor for my car. Cost more than other places for a rebuild one. The compressor has no warranty because I didn’t want them to install it (why because I didn’t want to loose another leg) They made me put down 40 bucks deposit for the core. Here’s the trick: they slap the tax on the 40 dollars core deposit (which they are not supposed to). About 7 hours later I came back to return the core. They gave me exactly 40 dollars back so I reminded them that they need to return the tax money too. Without saying anything they silently doing some calculation and return the money to me. I’ve been here a few times. It’s always the compressor when you bring your car in. The workers in the back are nice but the guy upfront is all about money. I won’t come back here again.

Jose accepted my 92 F150 on a Friday afternoon at 4 pm. I got this truck out of state so it needed conversion to R134a refrigerant. He quickly and expertly did the conversion and advised me of other issues I might want to repair in the future. All that and he was $250-300 dollars less than prices I was quoted by other garages. I am very satisfied with this shop.

Where to begin?! I have nothing but praise for this shop and its employees. They are experts in automotive AC but also great to work with. Jose went out if his way to explain everything to me in a way that made me feel like it mattered to him that I understood. He took time to show me the parts that needed repair and was honest and upfront with me about the diagnostic process. AC units are complex, and one or more parts often depend on the efficient function of another part. Here is where you must take a leap of faith and be dealing with a shop that you can trust. In my opinion, AC Exchange is just this type of shop.

I was looking for a AC Repair place near me when I came across AC Exchange. I gave them a quick ring, the receptionist was very quick to answer my question and quick to give me an inspection fee. I took my 2016 Silverado 1500 WT, because I was having air flow issues. Jose, the mechanic on my truck, was very helpful and consistent with his turn around times. They inspected my truck, the air ducts were clogged, they cleaned them and boom problem solved. Now I have cold, not cool, but cold 🥶❄️ air flowing. These guys are great, fair prices and quick turn around. Definitely recommend.

I normally don’t do reviews but this place is amazing! The attitude of everyone is so welcoming and patient! I’ve checked out many places around Orange County for efficient service and the best pricing and this is the one! Being a woman, it’s easy for shops to try and get the most out of me and “fix other things that need to be fixed”, but I can tell from experience that they’re genuine and honest! That is something I noticed about them when I first started coming here. Especially Jose! He has been nothing but kind and patient with me! 100% recommend to come here, all my friends and family I recommended all had an amazing experience too

Service is slow waited like 3 hours to find out the issue they said everything was fine and I just needed a Freon recharge my ac was cold when I left but the next day it was nothing but hot air mind you I paid 245 for the refill and 75 for diagnostic. took my vehicle back for a another check up (free) and they still couldn’t figure out the issue I wouldn’t recommend but you might get lucky unlike I did

I visited this auto repair shop when my car's AC stopped working. The mechanic diagnosed the issue as a faulty AC condenser and a leak, with a repair estimate of $700. However, I decided not to proceed with the repair and paid $75 for the diagnosis. Seeking a second opinion, I went to another shop that offered a free diagnosis. They found that the AC just needed a freon recharge and confirmed there were no issues with the condenser or leaks. It's been six months now, and my AC is still working perfectly after the simple recharge. I would advise others to be cautious with diagnoses from this shop. While the staff were courteous, the initial diagnosis seemed to be inaccurate and would have led to unnecessary expenses. Always consider getting a second opinion, especially for major repairs. They left some scratches after checking my car's AC. I know who did that but i just found out today, if i found out yesterday right after that happened. Why i said i know who? Because the shop owner_ Quang_ did not want me to stand near my car ( 25 feet away) and i refused to let them fix it, i then got charged $75 for 5 minutes looking. My car always shiny and has no scratches ever, even a tiny ones. He or the mechanic did it on purpose cowardly. Never again!
