I have been taking my German vehicle to Advanced Auto Service for the past year now. Despite some delays through the process of certain factors/prices, given the circumstances. I have come to trust bringing my car to Garret and how he has made sure to take care of me and my car. it’s not easy finding a good mechanic all the time or trusted. So I would recommend and refer them to anyone especially with a European car make. I have a VW!

The first time was good. But every experience after that has been worse. They give me timelines that they don't keep. They tell me the car will be looked at on that day or the next and then don't actually look at it until the end of the third day. Then repairs always take a couple days longer than they tell me. Twice they have told me the car was ready to pick up when they haven't actually completed the work I paid for. They charged me for diagnostics on my transmission knowing they don't do transmissions and they sent me somewhere else. What work they do seems fine, but don't expect it to be timely.

I've been working with Advanced Service Automotive Repair since I moved here in 2005. They have always given me a comprehensive estimate, never more than what is needed. Honest and trustworthy all the way. If they could fix rust..haha Utah is famous for winter. Great teamwork.

Brought our vehicle for emission test tag renewal ..was informed that our car needed other service/ repair on gas leak which will be required to complete our emission test.as of now it failed and apparently no emission test was done, giving me vetbal quote of 900+ cost expense..then we decided to get a 2nd opinion at in/out testing at 500 W.. it passed emission test. Thats a rip off .

I was just getting my oil, a coolant flush and my emissions done. While they were working on my car I was doing a proctored exam it took me a little while and when I was done I rushed over to get my car but I notice that they were closed luckily I saw someone who was just leaving and happened to work there and they had no problem reopening their shop for little bit so I could pay and also get my car. I would definitely recommend this place my brother and my dad have brought their cars here all the time and we have had no issues with them.

I took a car here for a pre purchase inspection. First of all it was very quick compared to other places I called. Other places said they needed the car for the full day which meant I would need to find rides there and back. Second, I’m not a car expert by any stretch. After calling five other shops trying to get an estimate for an oil leak, I decided to go with Garrett and his team. Not only did he walk me through helping me understand where the oil leak would most likely come from. Garrett also walked me through how much it would roughly cost for all three areas of suspicion. Ended up being a gasket for the oil cooler line which is a common issue. Very good price after getting the lower half of my engine decreased and the new gasket installed. The team took extra steps by taking my truck for a drive and then bringing it back into the shop to ensure that the gasket has properly sealed. Thank you guys for the awesome work that you've done.

I’ve gone here before & thought they were “trust worthy”. Was very disappointed. Came in for a coolant leak diagnosis and dropped off the car before they opened. Didn't hear back until 2 pm, which was late. Feeling obligated to accept their job, but didn't. They said I needed a whole new radiator and thermostat. Worst-case scenario, already knowing what it could possibly need, but wanting a diagnostic from a shop to guarantee. As a single special needs parent, I have no time to work on my vehicle or get a sitter. I checked myself and found they didn't even clamp my hose to the radiator, as if they didn't even check it in the first place. Ran leak tests myself after fixing the issue and have zero leaks now. Saved myself a $900 job that I declined. Lost $100 from their "coolant leak diagnosis".
