AGS stands for Alternator, Generator, Starter. Their front sign also has "Magneto, Distributors" listed. I was in a bit of a pickle with my starter and Matt helped me out. I would recommend them.

Let's say you are told your car needs a starter. Sure you could go buy some cheaply made starter that may work for a while until it totally fries. Or you could do the right thing for the environment and your wallet and get it rebuilt. Fortunately there is a place that still does real work, like with your hands, building and fixing stuff. Unbeleiveably good service, brought a starter in late on an afternoon and within 30 minutes got a call back with diagnostics and a quote for repair. Within a day I had the starter back and it works like a champ! That was faster than I thought, and it was a totally reasonable price. When you extend the life of something, that means you care about the environment. It is also good to support local business, people with whom you can talk face to face, learn something from their experience, and shake their hand when you're done.

I've been bringing my starters and alternators here for 42 years and the man that I worked for as a kid was coming here long before that when Matt's dad, Al, owned the place. It's an 'old school" type of business where they really know their stuff ,give you the straight scoop with excellent work and more than fair prices. There is no "upselling" and you can count on what they tell you.
