I have been getting tires and vehicle service there since 1998. Always a positive experience. Their pricing is competitive and work top notch. They will do what you ask but if you are wasting money they will advise you so you know. The owners and mechanics have always been friendly and did their best to work within your schedule. While the people were nice, I was up charged around $35 for an oil change from what it would have cost me for materials…for a 15 minute job…This is much more expensive than other places charging in the $50s (they were booked so I couldn’t go to them the day I needed to), where I spent $67 for an oil change for 4 quarts of synthetic here. Same issue when it came to the other service I requested: tire sensors-$70 a piece! On top of all this, what really got me is they charged me for a service I did not ask for (washer fluid), when I only asked for oil change and two sensors…unprofessional. This aside though, most places top you off and don’t charge anything for it. I paid $225 for the services asked which is insane and not comparable to other places; their markup/profit margin is too high. Definitely felt taken advantage of. Will not be going back.

Honest, reliable, trustworthy and dependable. Everything that you would ever dream of for a car mechanic. They won't fix it if it doesn't need fixing, and will be honest and upfront with you about what does need fixing. They can work with you to give you an estimate before large repairs are done. I won't take my car anywhere else!

32' Class C RV motorhome blew a tire on the highway on a Sunday afternoon. They immediately answered the call when so many others wouldn't pick up. Told them our situation and he said his technician was already on his way. Technician was prompt and professional. Showed up on time and got to work right away jacking up our 15,000 pound RV on the shoulder of 70mph traffic in 90 degree July heat. A+ service, would recommend. If you ever see roadside service assisting motorists on the side of the road, please move over into the other lane. It could save a life.

Great experience helping out of a bind during a holiday weekend. A tire on my tractor failed and these folks treated me like a very important and valued customer despite them operating a large shop doing large jobs from cars to semi-trucks. Every single one of the staff were extremely friendly to include the owner. They replaced both front tractor tires with far better tires quickly. I’ll add that tubeless tire mounting, while it looks like a simple commodity task, requires skill and patience to do well. They had some normal challenges due to the naturally tight bead found on tubeless tractor tires and they literally put 3 mechanics together on the machine to mount it perfectly including with sealant. Most other shops would rip the bead slightly and you’d get a failure a few months later. Tires can fail from poor installation jobs and I think they are more common than people think. This long-time family owned Hickory a shop focused on quality and taking care of the customer and will do what it takes to assure you are taken care of.

My daughter was pressed for time and needed a tire repaired during her lunch hour. She was near Aiken Black and pulled in there. She was immediately met in the parking lot by the owner David Black who directed her in to a bay and preformed the fix. She was in and out! Impressed the owner was the one who directed her in to the bay and had employees working on her repair in seconds. The work ethic at Aiken Black is incredible. Hats off to the team at Aiken Black.
